Also before any of you do the Tumblr thing, here's a reading comprehension quiz:
- What kinds of being the author likely talked about with the phrase "what people are"?
- What kinds of actions the author likely talked about with the phrase "what people do"?
People should focus less on what people are, and start focusing more on what people do

Whats wrong with joining the army to kill people aint that the point
#isn't that like a means to an end?#like. you kill people because they're trying to kill you/your realatives/citizens of your country#all that assumes that they are in fact trying to do that#otherwise ofc the first person such a soldier should kill is their superior. and then themselves

Read a writing prompt and got an idea:
Magic university Isekai, but the MC has knowledge about how modern compute infrastructure works (so like, access to all those RFCs and other literature) and tries to apply that to magic. There's an arc about MC trying to just build familiar systems in a new medium (magic) and failing spectacularly, which brings them to realization that magic has to be handled fundamentally differently, even though the more abstract ideas of layer abstraction and open standards are still applicable. All of that would lead to them developing a sick project with the help of their new friends.
Basically, the moral would be that you need to maintain a certain level of respect when going into a new science field, even if you correctly believe that your ideas can help change the way things are done for the better
#writing notes#idrk what to put here i'm just putting this out so that this idea hopefully won't get lost in the ether

i've become good enough at Noita where my first run in 10 days after completing the game for the first time lasted 4 hours. killed the bridge boss that ended my first god run. tbf I backtrack a lot to find stuff and never found any. I just need ONE add mana and my damage wand will be perfect.
