Is a swordswoman and the closest thing to a modern ‘mercenary’ aka a Pokemon Game Protagonist, travelling around wherever’s work is best. Work being anything from odd-jobs (for her and/or her Pokemon, but she has higher standards for the latter) or deliveries, to relocating troublesome wild Pokemon or intervening with Crime Teams although she’s liable to ignore them depending on the context (i.e. only hurting the rich or corporations hiring her), or guarding travelers through more perilous areas.

As she travels, will plant berry trees in out of the way places for wild Pokemon to use after losing to travelling Trainers or each other— and, in routes with permanently stationed healers/nurses, will show the local mon they can ask the healers for healing for themselves (and will be sure to take mons she’s defeated to them, in both cases).

Of course she's fine, Sasume snarks inwardly, withholding a jab about their being used to any number of finer material things in life and how even on a good day most inns don't compare. Maybe she's just giving Andromeda another headache with how crude she is—

And then thunder strikes, making her own muscles briefly tense... and Andromeda snaps like a bowstring. Hastily tries to tie themself back together and pretend she's still in shape to fire arrows.

Her frown deepens, all at once and all too late understanding the actual problem. Shit.

Sasume gets to her feet, mindful not to be too rushed lest she only worsens the other's anxiety—but refusing to waste any time. Yanks the soiled bandages off and leaves them tossed into her seat. She walks over to the window, gaze turning to slit gold, and presses her palm to the glass, frowning in concentration.

Slowly, at first, the glass seems to fog. No, gets covered in a sheet of ice... on the outside. She spreads it out further, further, hand following— leading— the movements of the ice. Blocks off the outside of the window, and then the others, and then some, just in case. In comparison, it only takes a few moments to block off the windows' insides with a magical wall of ice, too.

"...Yeah," she assures Andromeda, casually, as if nothing has happened. Returns to her seat with blue eyes and sets the medical supplies back into her lap. "You're not gonna discount it 'cuz there was no bath salts or whatever, are you?"

the storm’s air hurts. it’s been bothering her for a few days now, an ache that spreads down into her bones. like a pressure building up, that threatens to explode. it's a nasty pain above her temple- a soreness along her spine.

andromeda watches sasume move about the room- far more purposeful in her movements, far more than andromeda percieved themself to have,

“i’m fine.” andromeda mimics sasume’s response with a dry tone. really- she just needs to focus on something, anything other than the ache in her body. she slumps into her seat- grip slightly relaxing- only to launch out of her seat at the clap of thunder that rattles the windows. a sharp inhale. then a shaky exhale. that gets repeated by the next round of thunder.

andromeda grits her teeth. her eyes dart around the room- before resting on sasume. she almost wants to reach out and take over for the other's bandaging job. andromeda can't rest, nor does she have any tasks at hand. it drives her mad a little bit. "have y-you washed up?"
