Remembered that Love & Joy existed, and had an entire throwback episode to Baby's First Vocaloid Recolor

(also baby's first venture into 3D model editing, which feels more relevant, but this was still technically a shoddily made, ultra-saturated recolor from 2007, and that feels like a more relatable milestone)

Lucielle (i've made my bed and I'll lie in it, i'm sticking to this spelling of the name god help me) was pretty much my first proper character?

So every time I draw her, it's like a little nod to 11-year-old me. Hey loser, some cool animator is drawing your OC. (Spoiler: The cool animator is you)

...what the fuck, did i never post this???? YO, SO-- SOMETHING RAD FROM THE OTHER MONTH I did a collab with some rad animators from the Journey discord for the 10th anniversary! First part is Knock-Knock-Joke, second is Myachik, third is mine, and then Knock-Knock wraps it all up again spectacularly I was in the middle of house hunting and moving house during that month, so my part ended up a bit late (also learned a valuable lesson in keeping your goddamn layers organized hahaaaa) There was a lot I had to change from my original storyboards as I went on, but at some point I just needed to stick with what I already had and move onto the next scene. Also an important lesson for me there, lmao. But... technically, this is the first piece of fully colored, finished animation I’ve done since uhhh... 2007 parry gripp OC meme for a friend’s birthday? Most backgrounds were screenshots from the game, hunting for those angles and getting videos of them was also it’s own process xD Music is Raggy Looking Dance by  Alexander Rosetti, edited a bit in Audacity to reduce the runtime where we could.

(if the others are cool with it, I might share the playlist of WIPs I ended up amassing. God there are a lot of them. And that’s just -my- WIPs.)

I found a neat brush that randomizes the colors, within a certain range of the color you'd originally chosen

Sometimes ur hangin with friends and a hype as shit ska cover of wonderwall comes up on youtube and ur just 'ok time to draw a smiley hadley'

(and then it's bedtime so there's no other color grading done but w/e, trying to think less post more)

Did a doodle animation last night

Very much do not have time to comment on this since I got like 15min to get ready work, and also I want to like, -finish- it before I do a proper post xD

Got to the second verse, and completely scrapped whatever I had planned (which wasn't much tbh) and just started a new idea for it, so that entire section is practically skippable

Funny enough tho I ended up spending so much time on various expressions in the rest of the song, that I a little bit neglected the one very specific lyric/bit towards the end that everyone picks this one song to animate to xD

Took like one (1) gif of the whole thing cause I liked how the cabinetslam animation turned out. That bit should get a lil more attention when I return to this.

Initial 3-4 poses drawn, then the one that repeats (pose 2 i think? The lil in between?), I just lasso'd the hands and arms and rotated them depending on which pose it was following

Rest of it's like, I drew the finger, hand, forearm, and upper arm on different vector layers, and rotated them. Head circle's on a tweening layer, frames swapped out for the rest of the head layer, same with the torso (frame swapped out when the torso flips)

First time really trying to use CSP to animate since I've gotten EX. It was pretty fun!

LAST TIME ON BELOROUS BALL Z During part 1 of what’s probably our season finale big boss fight: While our monk, fighter, barbarian, and paladin looked on in awe, our bitty gnome wizard -- the epitome of sugary sweetness and agreed upon by all to be the embodiment of everything good in the world -- nyoomed in to a weak point in the line of defense and thunderwave’d about 4 or 5 mushroom minions to death, as well as sending a hill giant flying into a pillar (and squishing a few more minions for good measure).

Memes were posted and I redrew one of those memes cause I’ll take any excuse to draw Wonsa being a magical girl (she’s cute and i love her)

Had fun in Temple of Doom last night, ft. a new party member! Aikreek, the Aaracokra Monk. He’s a parrot. So obviously we have to keep him for Captain Bella’s crew.

The Interdimensional Tavern in Temple of Doom is populated by various characters from other games the group plays in. Including a pokemon tabletop. 5e characters see a weird looking animal they can’t identify? Probably a pokemon.
