English pisses me off

So, I am casually writing LuciLith fanfiction because I am a simple man with simple needs (is not a man) when I get to writing the line 'she gave him a one armed hug'.

Normal enough sentence. EXCEPT! Usually when writing the indefinite article of 'a' before a vowel, one switches to using 'an'. NOT HERE! And I didn't even realize until I looked at it and Google Docs DIDN'T CORRECT ME! Now I'm mad. This is almost as bad as writing 'that that' or 'have had'. WHY ENGLISH?! WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!

I'm also pretty sure that this is the only instance of this in the ENTIRE FUCKING LANGUAGE And I know why too! It's because 'one' is pronounced as 'wun' which sounds like a consonant sound.

Share your favourite/most hated 'English is stupid' moments so that I might calm down the fire in my brain that caused this rant.

Things I Did In BGIII That Were... Kinda Dumb. In no particular order

Killed Halsin. Self explanatory

Forgot to save before battles. Repeatedly.

Took me multiple times as bloodless before I figured out ShadowHeart had Lesser Restoration

Used the Netherese Orb in the area with Ketheric, Gortash and Orin (getting the endgame achievement)

Didn't get Aylin to come show up to fight Loroakan (I did beat him though)

Attack the Steel Watch at level 9 (I got what was coming to me)

Brought Karlach with me to confront Gortash (I PROMISED HER MAN)

Kept Astarion with me for any portion of time longer than I needed to (his jump length is so low imma cry)

Let Jaheira die, thus having to load my save repeatedly

Enter Cazador's place at level 9 (he was level 12 and we died so fast)

May make a part 2 of more things I did that were kinda silly, or wholesome if y'all want that

Note: not finished yet. Still have a lot of work to do before I finish (so many quests, too much school)
