As a student the impact of social media in me is that it helps me in my academic needs as a student to gather information that I need and using social media also a distraction on our studies and not everything we see or read is not good for us because some students nowadays are more on social media and they are busy sharing information that is not factual and credible. Social media helps us to communicate with other people and it is easy for us to access everything we need in our daily lives. We should always remember that we need to know our limitations when we use social media and we need to be careful on everything we post or share in social media. in this time of pandemic, We students have many realizations that social media is slowly consuming our time and it  is not normal anymore because i often neglected things that my parents task me to do. social media has its power to control, influence my mind and the way i think. As one of gen Z, the social media has affects my daily life. every morning when i woke up the first thing i hold is my phone then i check my social media immediately scrolling through my facebook, instagram and checking my pubg mobile . sometimes i skip the task that my parents has gave me to do. all of these things are not healthy  for our mental health it leads us to suicidal which is not good for us. Let us keep in mind that we must maintain balance and give time ourselves instead of social media.

As a Gen Z individual, The impact of social media  has it's positive and negative effect as a student and also as a netizen. Being a student who is in need to use online platforms to help me in my studies is already a big help in gathering information, yet distractions come along the way by simply scrolling through the screen will lead you to open other apps and forget what was your original goal in using the internet. Another thing is that Social Media became an everyday routine from communication, learning , and entertainment. With only one click away social media kept things easy and accessible. It also affected me in a way that netizens will attack , judge, talk and spread false information. It dawned to me that people like that will be there, and one must be careful. Social Media has affected me in so many ways and as a person born in Generation Z, I can say that social media  has good and bad effects on every Gen Z’s individual. Social media is very addicting, it implies that I spends so much time and effort on social media which can lead me to anxiety, depression, and even exposured. But  I only know one thing about social media, this social media has never felt me to be alone rather it helps me to unlock and discover this wonderful world. And also it helps me to improve my self-confidence, influence my thoughts and through social media I can hereby express my opinions and connected with many people. Connecting people is a good way in social media but let us not abuse ourselves and expose to it

Digital Divide and Its Benefits To Students

Technology has been the reliable source of Information Technology nowadays. Schools and Universities are now using modern technology as their way of accessing Textbooks and Other Academic purposes. Some students also dosent have modern gadgets to be able to access from the internet to browse for academic related on it. Nowadays, modern technology were the ones we can rely on because of the pandemic that has been happening right now. In our school we have been using gadgets and internet connection as our tool to continue our school year. Students are behind and some are finding their way to learn through first hand books in the library.  Digital divide as the disparities in access to telephones, personal computers, and the internet across certain demographic groups. Different segments have varying levels of access to digital developments due to a number of factors. This can include but are not limited to, race, gender, age, employment, income, location, and religion.Digital divide is where some people can access to internet and computers where they belong in developed world while some people are in underdeveloped world while they don't have access to internet and other information and this is the time where people in developed world started to bully those people who don't have a access on what they have especially in schools.  Social media sometimes leads us to toxicity wherein we encounter the negativity of a social online community ,which we can read inappropriate posts such as cyberbullying, trolling and many more.

Bridging the gap , this prevents the student s from getting an education, because they don't have access to the right technology .it also gives unfair competitive edges .as a student to bridge the gap of digital divide in simple steps is to find a another resources for scholarly purpose. Having a bad connection  where digital divide  exist to form that all the educational material is feasible to download especially today we're in the middle of pandemic. having a good connection is advantage in digital divide because you don't need to find another way to do your scholarly activities having a good connection is just like one snap of your fingers and then your done. bridging the gap is very active in academic progress.  As a student I've seen that many learners are discovering that advances in technology have helped higher education do a better job of personalizing learning to individual students.   In order for us to bridge the digital divide, we must improve/increase our digital literacy by emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and the used of social media for learning and collaborating in an educational context. Addition to that, an individuals is easier to learn in putting them in place concepts that they can relate with. Social media is the most addictive thing to entertain yourself, it builds opportunities and influences for those people who need attention online to express their feelings.

Piracy is an act of robbery, stealing or copying  a movie  and selling it at a much lower price to a certain buyers. All these activity causes a lot of problems not the consumers but rather from the producers. common form of piracy is shown in the DVD's we see in our markets , All these activity causes a lot of problems not the consumers but rather from the producers. All of these affects every single working person in the industries  negatively by having  less money to invest in new software . that cause people lost there work and struggle financially due to stolen profits and less money to invest.   Intellectual property protection is critical to fostering innovation. Without protection of ideas, businesses and individuals would not reap the full benefits of their inventions and would focus less on research and development. SCENARIO 2: A professor has posted his class notes on a web page available to the public. He wants to scan an article from a copyrighted journal and add it to his web page. FAIR USE? No, if access is open to the public, then this use is probably not a fair use. No exclusively educational purpose can be guaranteed by putting the article on the web, and such conduct would arguably violate the copyright holder's right of public distribution. If access to the web page is restricted, then it is more likely to be fair use. 

 Piracy is a controversial issue in today's society. Online distribution among legitimate and ilicit distributors alike, uploading/streaming a video of unauthorized copyrighted material such as KissAnime, Gogoanime, Cartooncrazy, and KimCartoon that hosts unauthorized TV shows through various servers is piracy. But it also has its positive sides. A movie travels to different parts of world through torrents. Many movies don't get released worldwide for different reasons. Even if the movie is released in foreign country, it doesn't reach the smaller towns. DVDs are hard to find in towns. And sometimes they are exorbitantly priced. So movie piracy brings the movie to a larger audience. The most practical situation to use them is when we do a research. Intellectual property, copyright and fair use are the things we could use and input on our research for it to be more effective, successful, objective and convincing but we must also remember that not following guidelines could make us a sinner in the eyes of the law and could be later on be jailed. Thus, their guidelines and standards that they have set must be use effectively and with accordance in our research to have it look more effectively, objectively and accurately. These guidelines will not only give us a better research but will also make us more responsible persons if we'll know how to use them well and follow the guidelines.

We all know that the purpose of print media, broadcast media and new is to provided, to update and to deliver information. In the year 60's The most dominant instrument to update from latest informations is the Print media and Broadcast media. They have common similiraties on delivering information which they are reliable  through writing stories, use leads for evidences  and lastly they both provide latest news and information within the society.  In the modern era the new media was introduced and its accessible for all people by using internet connection on searching articles and information. Sometimes the information in the internet was totally fake and not reliable. People tend to believe and sometimes it causes misinformation and chaos in social media. The print media is a type of delivering information through the use of hard prints like papers. The newspaper is also a entertaining tool of information where they put crossword puzzles and many readers are very fun like it. The broadcast media is a type of delivering information through television and radio. It is very helpful media of information which all people can watch broadcasting news or information. This three types of media were very helpful to every people around the globe especially informations and news that hava been happening around the world. Let us all remember in order to determine the information is reliable we must be alert, check the articles and be a critical thinker in terms of information.

The significance of these media are they all give information and it is the tool to deliver information or data. they influence in helping to shape public opinion and underlying sentiment. These media help us to get an information in easiest way like for example the new media, the new media allows people to express themselves through blogs, websites, videos, and other user-generated media. And these media also provides helpful resources, especially through the abundance of websites that promote health knowledge and tips, community service events, and public safety. They also inform and educate and entertain people. there are some of media that also help those people who don’t have cellphones,computers and tablets, they can receive information from the newspaper or print media that they are reading because it plays a big role tp those people who can’t afford to buy those expensive things. All media are meant to deliver a message from a sender to an audience. Digital media become the new source of news and there is a possibility that the print media will become extinct because most of the people are more focused on their digital media and spend their time on using it.because of the digital media, people use this to get news and information. Most of young people nowadays spend their time on social media than reading printed materials or paying attention on broadcast media.The new media gives some negative information especially for the millennials who use the digital media where they can learn bad things because not all the informations that they read or see in social media is good for them, while print media and broadcast media gives clear information and provides valuable information that can inform and educate us.

The replacement of print  and broadcast media nowadays is not normal to us because of some aspects that many people are decided to get information from the apps that are on thier phone because it is suitable to use. And also many companies reject print media advertising, because the digital age has given way to more efficient forms of marketing. I think in five years time the interactions between types of media is more innovative that before or upgraded. Print media maybe in 5 years time people wouldn't consider newspapers because they've already read news on some articles on the internet. But here in the Philippines I think it will take a lot of time to innovate it self because we're behind of inventions and developments. In five years time media interactions will be paperless in terms of interaction everything will be digital, digital media will take over  as our means of information, as it is more convenient and inexpensive it is also very acessible to everyone which make it for both parties to release information and pass it through from time to time but the relevance of such infos must be vitally checked to avoid misinformation or FAKE NEWS.

Politics has been the central topic that media has been covering. The Media and the Government has the power and authority to manipulate certain topics and  issues around the world  by giving falls accusations and fake statements. Media has been our watchdogs to notify the important and the latest news happening  in our country. Without media it would be hard for us to be updated, informed and notified about the issues and conflicts happening in our country and without the government no one will lead, discipline and lead our country and people to the right path. The government relies on media to communicate, with citizens, officials and stakeholders all around the world so they can ensure and receive the information that will elaborate and shape their day to day decisions to our country. Media and Government has love and hate relationship, Nowadays some media has been criticizing the government because of their way and system of running the country. According to some news, politicians are very sensitive in terms of running in elections because some media officials will disseminate other party officials using their power and creativity.  We people tend to believe that some news are biased, some people also tend to believe that the government is unfair and corrupt. Unfortunately the reason why we instantly believe  fake-news because it has been spread from other social media apps without verification. A country needs a strong relationship between Media and Government so that we can build a strong and develop our cooperation for a  better and successful country.

Philippines is a democratic country which filipinos express their statements and their own opinions, thus they hold more responsibility for what they post or do in their accounts. It also helps us to improve our quality of life, our learning environment and more.  Media and information literacy enables people to interpret and make informed judgements as users of information and media, as well as to become skill full creators producers of information and media messages in their own right. It recognizes the primary role of information and media in our daily lives. It focuses on the freedom of expression and information since it empowers citizens to understand the functions of media and other information providers, to evaluate their content, and to make informed criticism as users and producers of information and media content.

Every single people in the world has access to media in one way or another and it has become a part of our lives. media not only provide leisure  or have educational purposes but it also open citizens  eyes to the reality of the lives of other people, the government, the health system and even enables people to see the bigger picture when talking about NEWS.
