Recent comments from iwtv team have me disgusted by the writing. Rolin saying there was supposed to be more "contrition" from Louis and Jacob confirming that there was a version of the reunion scene with Louis "grovelling" like wtf are you serious?! What exactly does Louis need to be contrite for to the point that he needs to grovel for forgiveness from his abuser? So done with this shit. Good luck to anyone still defending this mess, you'll need it.

(x, x) This is such a thing to say like first admitting the writing of the pivotal scene of your show wasn't good enough and they had to rush shooting it (remember when people who said this a year ago were getting hate from other fans and called stupid and not understanding gothic fiction of whatever), and then saying your biggest issue was an abuse victim not being contrite enough when thanking and apologizing to his ex... I guess he could've meant the original version was too contrite but doesn't seem like it (x, x):

I guess we could also give them the benefit of doubt that they were intentionally trying to portray the dynamics of abuse with the victim being forgiving and almost groveling like Jacob says and the remaining imbalance in their relationship (and rolin said it's 'not yet' time for lestat to properly apologize suggesting that he's planning for lestat to have an arc leading to that) but i don't know if i want to be that generous. Like i need more information about louis' role in s3 and an actual direct assurance that rolin and other writers understand abuse and that loustat's relationship wasn't 'mutually abusive' or something at this point before trusting them because this isn't the first time some questionable things have been said

Angel engine is such a joke of a series because you look at it and all the art is AI and you can tell because there’s like..5 different art styles present in the series and they all clash. Like what do you mean this anime character is next to this highly rendered janky looking creepy pasta monster?

But then you start paying attention the actual story and see that it’s basically another apocalyptic “human race bad” narrative.

But then you look up fanart for it done by actual humans and the fanart is 10 times better than every art style that the AI tries to mimick in the series.

I’m convinced now that the fans who complain about how hard it is to discuss queer subtext in Sinners in regard to Sammie and Remmick are just either lazy or yaoi brained, and this is coming from a yaoi brained queer person. Some of you are acting like saying “Remmick constantly trying to go after Sammie could also be an allegory for Remmick wanting to fuck him/romance him because that’s what other vampire movies do” is soooo fucking deep and its like brother….this is the equivalent to someone giving you a buffet and you stick to just chicken nuggets and a dab of ketchup. There’s so much other subtext and symbolism that’s present in the film that’s never been said before in a movie this big and there’s so much to talk about in Sinners and yall want to convince me that “vampires obsessing over and feeding off of people = sex” is groundbreaking? Bro just write the Remmick x Sammie fanfic and get out of my face.

They literally have no other personality, story, or dialogue outside of being one dimensional Klansmen who parrot whatever Remmick is doing. They never “understood equality”, they got turned into husks of their former selves just so that Remmick can use them to commit other acts of racism, just with a different motive. They have 0 redeeming qualities, they *barely* have qualities in general. What the fuck are yall talking about?
