Brook and THAT Song; why this scene matters so much.

This scene has always stood out to me as a bit odd for a joke because of both how quick it goes by, which is rare for the anime in this case, and for how seriously it was taken. Looking at it now however, I realize this is completely on purpose and I am utterly heartbroken.

Sanji asks Brook if he takes requests, Brook states yes, and before Sanji can even answer, Brook begins with a song we've never heard before; Binks Sake. Now, we're use to it NOW, and associate it with BROOK, however this song belonged to someone else entirely, and what is what I really wish to bring up/remind y'all of.

This is YORKI'S song practically, being asked of Brook only by him genuinely so many times I cannot include them all, however I've compiled quite a few.

Now this matters mostly because we now KNOW Brook expects his Captain to do the same song and dance of "Request? That Song. Hey Brook, you can play something? Play that song." Brook CAN PLAY ANYTHING, and he's been asked exactly what Sanji has just asked him BEFORE, actually word for word.

When asked WHY Yorki even likes this song, he admits that it's 'the pirate song.'

This may sound familiar for in the clip, Luffy says verbatim;

To me, this scene reads less as just a joke, but more like Brook has been waiting to hear that little phrase for 50 years. He falls back into that same tempo and piece just as he did for another blond all those years ago, that little banter Sanji offering him just being the rhetorical query his partner always would request.

We see how the crew parties, how gentle Brook's solo is and how it lingers on the torn flags and friends and family he now has. Listen to the PRIDE he sings with, the LOVE he has to share. He’s sharing their memory all over again.

Then you need to go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini and turn off all Gemini activity tracking. You do have to do them in that order to make sure it works.

Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last, but this should keep Gemini off your projects for a bit.
