been reading ace attorney fic and what makes that franchise so good for fandom activity is that it truly has Everything

a plot that is very very silly but at times gets real serious real fast, complete with plot holes and dropped threads

heaps of unresolved/undiscussed trauma

a cast with a variety of complicated relationships
