i haven't been able to share but twittervzla is doing their best to make #MaduroSecuestraNiños and #MaduroKidnapsChildren trending, and they're making it !
8 children of the over 100 teens have been released, testimonies of children as young as 11 have resurfaced that date back to 2019 of the tortured of the regime, and we should all be aware of it
If you care to translate, here are several posts and threads detailing what's been happening, of course starting with María Corina Machado:

Specially jarring recount of an 11 year old explaining how he was tortured by the regime and threatened that they will appear in his nightmares if he ever told his family, denouncing Tentaient Arellano for his torture by electricity and hits

"Young people are the future of our country, their only 'crime' is to wish for justice and desire freedom"

"a total of 86 teenagers incarcerated in Venezuela after the post election crisis detentions"

denounce the regime, denounce the kidnapping of children

SOME of the children currently under arrest by the Venezuelan Government
Source: (x)
Victoria. 16 years old, is in her fifth year of high school. She is a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica, and attends a modeling and make-up school. She was kidnapped on July 29 and subjected to forced disappearance. She was not allowed to defend herself through her lawyers.
Lauriannys. 16 years old girl who just graduated from high school and was arrested on August 14 after being reported by an official from the Carúpano City Hall. The reason? She allegedly forwarded a message via WhatsApp after July 28. That night, a group of regime officials forcibly removed her from her home as if she were a criminal. Due to the trauma of what happened, she began to feel ill and as a result, she suffered a collapse that caused brain damage and required urgent transfer to a healthcare centre. There she was prosecuted without the right to defend herself for the crime of instigating hatred, with a sentence of 24 years in prison.
José. 14 years old teenager who was arrested on July 30 with his father when they passed by a protest at a PSUV headquarters on their way to do personal errands. They were arrested and had rocks, sticks and a bottle of petrol planted in their bags, in order to accuse them of “acts of vandalism”. The young man was brought forward and charged with terrorism and inciting hatred.
Yohendri. A fifth-year high school student and a soccer player, goalkeeper for his soccer team. In his free time he sells fried plantains with his uncle. He lives with his sick mother and his grandfather. The young man was arrested along with his cousin and a friend on August 6. At 11:00 pm, the young man went with his cousin to a neighbor's house to invite him to play with the phones. While there, regime officials arrived abruptly asking for another person. At that moment they were taken into custody. Relatives claim that the officials were looking for another person with the same name. They were victims of a mix-up; they were arrested and processed in the same way.
Edison. 15 years old, arbitrarily KIDNAPPED in Barinas on August 2, was severely beaten, causing FACIAL PARALYSIS, and was accused of Terrorism. He has already been released on bail.
Camila, 15 years old, was kidnapped by the forces of the Nicolás Maduro dictatorship in Trujillo state to force her father, Gerardo Leal, to turn himself in. Her only "crime" was accompanying María Corina Machado on motorcycle tours.

---

this is one of the 15 or so kids that freed a few days ago, after the complaints of thousands of people. he is 11 or 12 and he's denouncing that he was tortured by being electrocuted and beat up by a liutenant of the current regime's military. it's fucking heartbreaking to hear his voice shaking.
mind you 15 kids were let go after being UNLAWFULLY KIDNAPPED BY THE MILITARY. and there's still
OVER 117 CHILDREN KIDNAPPED

in the wave of detantions happening in venezuela, one of the latest we have been informed off is the detainment of Yendri Velásquez
Yendri is one of Venezuela's MOST RENOWNED LGBTQ+ activists -he's the director of the Observatorio Venezolano de Violencia LGBTIQ+ (The Venezuelan Obstervatory of LGBTIQ+ Violence"), and he was actually in his way to an interracial comitee by the UN. He was in the Maiquetía airport, and when they checked his passport they told him it had been made null
he informed his family then that he was being approached by two individuals at 3PM local time, and that's the last they have known of him
once again: Yendri was not doing anything but being on his way to an international event by the UN. and still he was taken away by the security at the airport and no one knows where he is.
when we say that supporting Maduro is supporting tirany and hate THIS is what we mean
THERE'S NO LQBT RIGHTS IN VENEZUELA
THERE'S NO PROTECTED RIGHT TO ABORTION IN VENEZUELA
THERE'S NO PROTECTION TO NATIVE AMERICANS IN VENEZUELA
THERE'S NO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IN VENEZUELA: PEOPLE ARE BEING PUT IN JAIL FOR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS SHOWING THEIR DISAGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT
MADURO SAID "FREE PALESTINE" ONCE, WHILE PUTTING MONEY ON ISRAEL'S POCKETS AND BUYING SURVEY SYSTEMS TESTED IN GAZA BY ISRAEL
MADURO SAID HE WILL BUILD MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISIONS TO "RE-EDUCATE" THOSE WHO PROTEST, AND PUT THEM TO DO FREE LABOR WITHOUT CHANCE OF PAROLE (HEY BUD? THAT'S A CONCENTRATION CAMP)
MADURO DOES NOT STAND FOR THE SHIT THAT YALL THINK HE STANDS

Children kidnapped by Maduro's regime are sent to a maximum security prison to be tortured or even killed by the military. This video shows their parents waving and screaming different forms of "I love you" to the kids from afar. Some kids even wave back to their parents. The youngest one is 12 years old.
How is a 12 year old child a CIA terrorist? How is a 12 year old child a coup plotter? How is a 12 year old child deserving of the most horrific things a human being can experience? The regime is already known for abusing little girls they kidnap. The regime is known for taking away the childhoods of Venezuelans for the last 25 years.
But nobody wants to do anything because our situation doesn't fit a left vs right dichotomy.
Nobody does anything because we're not a trend or "important".
Nobody does anything because our freedom doesn't follow your standards.
Nobody does anything because you'd rather send us back to all rot under the regime.
Nobody does anything, and this keeps happening.

Greg from Pensacola Florida is a far left liberal who considers Kamala Harris too tame. Greg from Pensacola enacts colonialism without knowing when, say, he meets Adriana from El Tigre, Venezuela, and all he does is talk about how horrible the US has been to Venezuela. Adriana from El Tigre has tried to explain, from personal experience, how her father was a public employee who was forced to look away at injustice by the government, and how he was forced to go on protests by the government, often on no pay.
Adriana from El Tigre also has an aunt who worked in the electrical company, and because of that she knows that years of neglect, due to corruption, have contributed to the energy crisis. And that's not even going into Adriana's more personal shells that she isn't ready to share, specially to Greg.
But Greg from Pensacola doesn't listen to Adriana. Maybe it's her accent or her funny foreign ways that he associates with blue collar workers. Maybe it's that he just enjoys his convictions too much. Maybe it's the fact that Greg from Pensacola has never experienced the level of hopelessness Adriana has.
But Greg is a US citizen, and Adriana isn't, so he'll be heard more, and he does not know how privileged he is to be able to stick his dick in someone else's conflict without listening to the people in it.

tumblr communists' reaction to the situation in venezuela, especially those from the US or western europe, is extremely bizarre. OF COURSE the united states is responsible for a good portion of the political turmoil latin america has suffered in the past century (countless coups to set up puppet governments, the somoza dynasty in nicaragua, the chicago boys in chile, etc) and i hate american imperialism as much as you do, but refusing to acknowledge the violent dictatorship and repression that's currently going on in venezuela is a stupid and lowkey infantilizing take... like, you know a leftist man, thrust in any position of power, no matter how "progressive" he may call himself, can (and more often than not WILL) be greedy and corrupt. you know a socialist government can be authoritative and violate human rights. you know this right.

Far be from me, a simple Venezuelan swallowed whole by the US propaganda machine, to draw parallels between what's going on in Venezuela and OTHER hystoric periods... But drawing marks on your neighbors' house to single them out to authorities, so that they can be taken away for the crime of **checks notes** exercizing their constitutional right to vote for whoever they fucking want and protesting does bring to mind some rather interesting hystorical periods. Again, far be from me!

After seeing we-know-which-asshole trying to share some moronic memes (that only they give like,) I was compelled to do this

¿Por qué que es mas venezolano, que usar memes para lidiar con el sufrimiento?

A good friend of mine pointed out (I'm paraphrasing) that political debate isn't about convincing the other person that they're wrong, but rather, about convincing the audience that your opponent is wrong.
On Tumblr, us Venezuelans have gone above and beyond to convince Maduro zealots that we exist, and that they're wrong. They are not going to change, of course, but we are not seeing the amount of minds we're changing, just by speaking our truth. Those people who think to themselves "oh, that zealot is being ridiculous" and then go to the real world and sympathize with our cause.
It's happening.
I promise you, it's happening.

translation:
"I'm going to be honest, it pisses me off so much that the only ones who support us are the far-right conservatives because they think we want to get rid of the woke agenda when genuinely all I want is to have breakfast with ham and cheese and orange juice, why do those on the left turn their backs on us? Like the people are rising up from oppression, isn't that literally what you like????? The situation is very screwed up when [María Corina Machado] is a choice feminist and pro-equal marriage and the most that maduro has done for the [queer] community was take cantv [internet connection] away from the Divaza [popular venezuelan queer youtuber] in 2014 so that the iconic video "[THIS THING IS NO GOOD NO GOOD]" could come out, I mean I just don't get it."
idk, just an anon that I really found good to share

Being Venezuelan on social media is a frustrating experience, to describe it one way.
A lot of espaces in social media are meant for English speakers, which means you have to speak English to interact with others. That's fine, I am of the believe knowing more than one language is good for you. Unless you're Venezuelan, talking about Venezuela... In that case you're a CIA plant or can only be White & Rich™️.
As a Venezuelan on the internet you're supposed to care about every single problem in the world, and you have to post about, and then you have to prove that you care, and you have to be gracious and meet people in the middle to help them understand our situation even if they are condescending and, really, have no interest listening from venezuelans in Venezuela or out.
Y'all will play the label Olympics, but when it comes to Venezuela y'all won't care about the most important label to talk about it being Venezuelan. Y'all willfully and unironically will believe the wakiest shit about this country, like that time you made it your mission to spread the lie that LGBTQ venezuelans have ALL THE RIGHTS when venezuelans in Venezuela have been telling you for years that is not true.
Venezuelans on social media have to prove to you that we deserve basic shit, like running water, electricity, and the freedom to criticize the government. And then when venezuelans do not take kindly to being talked down to and accused of not knowing what is happening in their own country, or what they're living... Y'all want to play victim. As if you haven't been treating the lives and experiences of Venezuelans as a way to prove how much of a leftie you are and how "anti-imperialist" you are. As if Russia, China and Iran aren't interfering in Venezuela. But I guess that's fine, 'cause as I was told by someone on this very site... Is okay as long as it isn't the USA.

I have a few questions for y'all non-Venezuelans:
-What is the capital of Venezuela?
-Name three states in Venezuela
-Does Brazil and Venezuela share a border?
-What is the difference between a Patacón and Tajadas?
-Was there ever an Aztec temple in Venezuela?
-What color(s) are Venezuelans?
This is all very basic, easy information to find...if you care to find it.

did we expect the TSJ to say that Maduro was the winner? Yes we absolutely did.
What we didn't expect is how they wouldn't even attempt to make their justification for that believable (... Not that a a sentence from the PSUV could ever be believable bc the CNE, the TSJ and Maduro are all from the PSUV party)
They have shown on national tv people "analyzing actas" that we could outright see were blank. The boxes they stored the "actas" were not the security boxes used in normal elections, all of them looking suspiciously samey. They didn't say which "international bodies" were analyzing the actas and whoever did "analyze" them were wearing gloves and masks to protect their identities to the public because no one wants their faces to be visible committing a crime on national tv. They didn't show a breakdown of the actas or anything. They didn't even attempt to fake new ones (.... Not that they could, by design). They just said Maduro was the winner and that's it.
So clearly, they are losing their touch. And they were caught so badly, their sentence can't possibly hold water. If anything I feel like their refusal to step down from government in a peaceful fashion (and this stupidly to top it off jfc) will just make 1) the people angrier if that was even possible and 2) their fall from power that much sweeter
