Some Facts on Emotional Manipulators

1. They can’t be trusted. No matter what you say, they’ll turn the situation round so they seem like they’re a victim, and have been unfairly judged.

2. They leave you feeling crazy, or mixed up and confused. They’ll twist your words and motives so you feel misunderstood - and they rationalize their actions so you seem unreasonable.

3. They’re great at making you feel guilty or “bad”. Nothing you can do or say is ever right to them. No matter what you try, you know it always will be wrong.

4. They are passive aggressive. They’ll smile to your face and they’ll stab you in the back … and they’ll gladly talk about you … and pass along mean gossip.

5. They have the ability to manipulate the emotional climate in a group. So, if they’re feeling happy, and life is going well, they’re the life of the party and everyone must smile. But when their life is tough then they’ll moan, groan and complain … and they’ll make sure everybody feels miserable as well.

6. They are self-absorbed and a law unto themselves. Life is always by their rules - and everything revolves round them. They’re not accountable - and they will always please themselves.

If net neutrality dies we aren’t getting it back. I just hope you guys know that. This government never fixes it’s mistakes until decades later if at all, and especially under Trump, they won’t ever fix their mistakes.

The BEST thing you can do is to call your members of Congress at 202-224-3121. Call three times, because you have two senators and one House representative.

Congress has oversight over the FCC, and they have stopped their votes before. Its vital you call them now, go to their local offices now (chances are there is one right next to you), and pressure them to take action. To actually go over there and stop them. To bring up all the lies the FCC is saying about net neutrality, about how they’re ignoring the lawsuit against them. WE ONLY HAVE 6 DAYS!!.

CONGRATULATIONS, everybody! We only have 10 days to fight the FCC & the repeal of #NetNeutrality!

Thanks to John Oliver there’s a SUPER easy way to do this Do you enjoy Netflix? Do you find yourself spending too much time on FB? If net neutrality goes away, our Internet bills go up and we give power to companies like Comcast and Spectrum.

Here’s what you can do - takes less than a minute: 1. Go to gofccyourself.com (the shortcut John Oliver made to the hard-to-find FCC comment page) 2. Click on the 17-108 link (Restoring Internet Freedom) 2. Click on “express” 3. Be sure to hit “ENTER” after you put in your name & info so it registers. 4. In the comment section write, “I strongly support net neutrality backed by Title 2 oversight of ISPs.” 5. Click to submit, done. - Make sure you hit submit at the end! **Feel free to share this**

How To Actually Fight For Net Neutrality

There’s a lot of big, wordy articles going around tumblr right now, and they’re all great. But I wanted to make a mastpost of sorts of all the actions you can take and sites/bots that are here to help.

battleforthenet - The main hub for all things net neutrality. Fill out a form in seconds to e-mail your rep, or enter your phone number and a prerecorded message will call you, tell you exactly what to do and provide a script before connecting you with your representative. You can also set up a daily call.

Verizon Protests - Protests are happening at Verizon stores across the country on Dec 14th. 

5 calls - This site is my favorite for calls. They provide a script and directions for calling the FCC, senators, and local state rep. 

Resistbot - A phenominal service for those who cannot call, this bot will contact your rep on your behalf. However, every time I try to use it, they are busy.

Many of you are hitting the same roadblock I am: Mailboxes are full. So what do we do at that point? We send letters. Go to WhoIsMyRepresentative.com and enter your zip code to find addresses for your senators and house reps. You can use the phone script from the sites above, or compose your own note, or simply write “I am your constituent and I want you to fight to keep net neutrality.”

I know a lot of this is very overwhelming and hopefully this makes things easy and straightforward. You can send an e-mail, make 4 phone calls, and write a letter in less than 10 minutes. Please take the time to do so.

Ricky’s decided to throw a party at one of the old ballrooms in the Citadel. This event will run from Friday Dec 15 - Friday Dec 22nd but sign ups are starting now [you don’t have to sign up to participate, however it’s strongly encouraged to do so because submitting an info post for your muse will increase the events interactivity and encourage new people to interact with you or even draw your muse during it!]

How The Event Will Work

First off, all posts relating to the event including RP starters and character introductions will be posted onto this blog, so please follow it so that you can follow everything going on!

This event will be an art and RP based event. Which isn’t to say you have to be an artist to join! If you are an artist though it’s strongly encouraged [but of course still not required!] that you draw out your interactions with other muses, as well as what your own muse is getting up to throughout the event! This will make the event seem more like a community interaction instead of just you RPing with your friends’ muses in a room by themselves [unless of course they have snuck off to a room by themselves, cough cough]. And please feel free to post open starters and even mini events and to tag this blog in them so that they can be shared with everyone as well! Did your muse spike the punch? Well, let’s share it and see what happens! I’ll also periodically make updates about what’s happening as well, and these will most definitely contain art and drawings of the things your guyses’ muses have been getting up too.[Assuming of course you submitted an intro post with their ref or description so that I know what they look like].

There will be no overlying plot on my part, so really, anything you want to happen? It goes. Feel free to flesh out the party as much as you like and interact with Ricky as you please. What decorations are there? What food are they eating? What music is going on? And so on. Give it your own flare and of course feel free to write drabbles to be shared and anything you think you can supply to the fun!

Don’t know who to RP with? Go through the character submissions or Open Starter pages and find someone to send an ask to or a starter to respond to! You can also go through the active RPs going on and send an ask to one or both of the players involved to butt in on their action [keep in mind though they aren’t required to respond to your ask and not to feel too bad if they’ve already got a plot planned out for their interaction].
