just now I was reading up on sciatica, (yes, I’m having this problem/pain, right now, ever since end march due to bad posture while working!)

I was researching it, checking on the “more painful at night” kinda thing,

apparently, it seems so…

due to whatever various reason,

the thing is, I actually had my longer hour proper “bedtime” in the day,

that time, I don’t wake up in that much of a pain, it’s not that it’s not painful, or less painful but it’s a more manageable type of pain!!!

and just now, while I took my short nap on the couch, I woke up in great pain again!!!!

I have problem with our couch, that’s pain 1,

and at night, when I take a few hours of sleep before getting up for my daily workday/schoolday routine, it’s pain 2,

both pain are kinda equal type of intensity, but I don’t get that intensity in the day, even if it’s an even more longer hour of bedtime,

so, I was telling him about this, and doubted a fact, “it can’t be because my body can tell between day and night, right???” 

then, I went into deep thought and suggested to myself, 

“maybe I shall trick my body to think that it’s actually day time!”,

at the same time,

😆😆 his response is even more funnier!!!

“your biological clock is actually still working”,

then, he took my hands and tell me in a very serious manner,

“please don’t trick your body into that, your biological clock is still very important, it’s to be normal!”,

I laughed again,

I asked him, “before this, what makes you think that, I know how to trick my own body into believing that night is day??”….

that’s us!!!

yesterday was LK's birthday, I almost missed it, and at night, I texted her, wished her happy birthday,

she shared something with me,

apparently, she's diagnosed with SLE,

I asked, "what's SLE?",

then, I checked,

gosh!!!!

I hope she'll be able to cope, it's scary,

I thought with my slipped disc and the sciatica, it's bad and painful enough,

what has she been through??

GOD, please help LK...

please help her to feel less pain~

BONE SPUR

last saturday, I went to the medical centre to check on my back pain, 

all these while, I thought it's slipped disc, and I thought, the slipped disc caused the sciatica,

I told my story to the dr., he asked me to tell story first anyway,

it started around end of march, the end of the school holidays, when I was changing the bedsheets,

then, I thought my back is tired,

after a few days, this sciatica started to kick in, and it got more and more painful,

when, we went to his hometown, those few nights, it's still brearable, but I think it got worse eventually, thus, I resolved in using panadol EXTEND, ie, painkiller,

I started sharing my pain story with LK, bla bla bla bla...

well, before I saw the dr, I was having breakfast with him at the cafeteria,

suddenly (ya, just the night before, I thought of this...) I thought, though still blaming on the slipped disc, as I had the history,

it's many years ago, when baby #1 was having her tooth extracted at the dentist, and I'd to bend slightly to hold her hand, she's still small, oh~ my baby!!! and I've to adjust my body gesture according to the dental equipment, where the dentist sat etc.,

thus, I hurt my back, I went to dr. after that, and the dr. managed to pressed on the slipped disc... he asked me to go for surgery, and I refused, and therefore... ... ... 

so, I thought, this is the problem of an old injury,

though it might not have started in end march, suddenly I thought so...

and it might have to be traced back much much earlier, maybe some time last year, maybe some time mid of last year...

when I started complaining about the chair that I sat on, at my workdesk!

I kept changing chair during that time, till I went to ikea to get a proper working chair,

during that period of time, I was pretty sensitive to CHAIRS,

I even changed the chair in his room in his hometown, we bought a new chair, and put i tthere...

now, I think of it, I thought, maybe it's started much earlier...

so, I told the dr. my story...

immediately, the dr. said, it's the "bone spur", 骨刺

I said "what?? please don't scare me!", he responded, "I'm not scaring you, I've not even mentioned about cancer!",

anyway, he told me, based on the symptoms I have mentioned, it sounded like the bone spur,

if it's slipped disc, it's immediate, not "after a few days",

and the sciatica, yes, it came along with the bone spur,

so, he explained to me,

and mentioned, if I've to know the details, I'll have to go throught x-ray and MRI,

I told him, I'll just trust his judgetment,

ie. not knowing, but presuming it's bone spur, and he'll give me prescription to make me feel better, less pain, and I'd to go to physiotherapy...

if!!! after 2 weeks, the problem still hasn't gone away, then, I told him, I'll go for the MRI,

it's always trial and error, right???

anyway, after taking the med that he's prescribed to me,

I did feel slight improvement, sleep better, I won't think it's 100% solved, since it's bone spur,

but it's less pain,

when the pain was during its peak,

that's what I told him, "it's testing my patience"...

I hope it's just bone spur,

and I'll be going for the physio this week, ie. better do it while I'm taking the medication!!!!

oh ya, after using keep.google, I switched spreadsheet google, then, I switched again, to office excel, for my note, yep, for some reason, I like the spreadsheet format, or rather the old email (outlook, netscape) look... anyway, all of these are kinda of slow on my poor old PC, so, I'm back to keep.google again, though whenever I switch the the tab on my chrome, it'll kinda take a little while to load, but nonetheless, it's still offering pleasant and simple interface with all the basic features that I want...

I've tried window's stock "note" app, then, google keep, now, I'm using google sheets! see which one is "lighter", keep, sometimes, gotta take some time to load on my old PC, thus…

he knows me well!!! the other day, I told hubs that I've bought something to store my stacks of keyboard, yes, stacks!! PC keyboards, and he responded... "I thought you're happy that you're able to look at them everyday??", (ie. why store it away??) and I laughed!!! he knows me too well, I further explained that, he's right, I bought something that I can put them away, yet, I can look at them everyday!! I told him, I bought a slim canvas laundry basket with roller, it's slim and tall that I can slot my keyboards in vertically, one by one, arranged nicely!!! and yet, I can look at them everyday!!

yes, everyday, as I changed my keyboards to be paired with my PC every other day, depending on my mood!!!

speaking of which, the other day, I managed to resolved my OBS problem~ yeah!!!! it was actually setup nicely and working properly, but for some reason, the setting went off, and I couldn't record sound from internal speakers, I didn't realize till quite late, and I was trying to solve it, I have attempted to uninstall, and install, but probably I did a sloppy job in the first round, so, I left it there for a while, and till one day, I decided to do it properly, and eventually I managed to solve it, on my mac, older iOS, yeah!

ok, I have come to terms with my notetaking procedures… you see, I subscribe to evernote, thinking that, I'll use it for notetaking, but then, the web version of evernote is just tooooo lousy that I can't even load on my old PC, and I resolved to using google keep, ok, mainly, I'll just do text, writing, and so on, I still keep evernote, for other purpose, it's useful, in a way, for newsclipping and images backup… however!!! again, on my super old PC, it's just slow, to load most of the website, google keep is already pretty good enough, but when you've other tab opened on your chrome browser!!! it'll just slow down quite a bit… so, I'm back to SQUARE_ONE now, it'll be using the notepad on my win10, it's good, in a way, and I stumbled upon a trick list for using notepad, wow!!! I can toggle timestamps!!! alright, till next change of mind, I'll stick to notepad in the mean time, the only drawback is, I can't have that "tree" overview, or card type of overviews on my notes, it'll just be a serial type of thing… nevertheless!!!

toilet tissue

we've been having this problem lately, sewage problem, ie. toilet's stuck!!! it's been a while, and even though we thought we've solved it, it happened again!!! we've not really fixed it yet, as we've a few toilets in the household, so we're "surviving", ^o^ anyway, it goes like this… so, the domestic helper knows that we've a stuck toilet, I still request her to help me clean up a bit, with that toilet, though we're not using, and from time to time, I'll asked her if "it's still stuck", and she'll tell me "yes"… she told me, just the other day, when she came back from her hometown far far away (she took 2 weeks off), and she shared with me this, when she came back from her hometown, her housemates here, she was complaining indeed, she said, they don't utilize the toilet properly, and it's stuck too, what she did was, getting one of her handyman friend to go downstairs, the neighbour's unit, on their ceiling, where the piping is hidden behind the ceiling, they open up the service board, and unscrew the sewage cover, and she's a bucket ready down there, and!!!! loads of toilet tissue!!!!!

that's the reason, that's the reason!!! she told me, it's the toilet tissue!!!!

then, I recall when he told me that, the current toilet tissue that we're using is so good that it won't tear even when it's wet! (usually, toilet tissue or most tissue will tear!) he told me this, looooooooooooong time ago, when we started switching brand!!!

and just the other day, when the "stuck" thing came out again, for the 3rd/4th time, he was saying things like this too, ie. "why is this happening now, we've been using the toilet for years, it's never got stuck, why does it happen so often lately!!!"

I think think think… again, I think I managed to connect the dot, it's true that, we've moved in to this place since 2013??? and there're many years, there's no problem with the said toilet, no problem at all… the "stuck" thing happened for a couple of time, since, like 4-5 years ago?? not very often, but often enough to be alarming!

I then recalled, it's just around the covid time, we've changed the brand of the toilet tissue, previously, we're just using one of those conventional traditional brands, then there's a new brand in the market, the sales person promoted, we tried, and we liked it, and we started using it, and starting using it on the regular basis during the covid time, ie. 2-3 years ago, as I remember I ordered a bulk of the online, to be delivered to us, due to the restriction of the movement to prevent the spreading of the covid, ya, those years!!!! so, we've been using this brand, since then!!! it's good tissue, pricey indeed, strong tissue, at the same time!

I recalled this statement that he made, and the story that my helper shared with me, I concluded that, it's the toilet tissue that we use!

then, I remember again, when we're young, we don't buy expensive toilet tissues! we usually opted for the more economical ones, and they got flushed and disintegrate easily!!! but now, most of us, all of us, are kinda… richer, and we wanted to treat our bottom better, so, we bought better tissue, stronger, smoother, and so on… that's the problem, it's just got so strong that, it can't be disintegrated like the olden day's tissue!!!

since then, we changed again, and use the "traditional" brands! (but we've not solved that particular toilet problem yet!)

I know this software has been rated very very highly,

I think I've used it before, for whatever I'm going to mention, but then somehow I got distracted and went on to use something else, and just lately, I am back to appreciating it!!!

for eg. screen capture, I used to use another software to screencap my video, video that I'm watching, (ya, for other blogging/writing/reivew purpose, whatever you call it!)

and my PC is getting older and older, slower and slower, till I've to search other simpler way to do this, oh ya, same goes to creating gif, ie. video to gif...

I've been using ScreentoGif for a long time, as long as I'm using my windows PC,

and yes, I love the MacOS-only Giphy Capture, but as you can see, it's MacOS only!!!!!

I searched up and down, and failed,

then, I came back to vlc again, I thought... ah!!! I've been restricted by a pattern that I have created throughout the time...

I thought, to make gif from video, you play the video, get an overlay capture software to do the gif,

but then, there's video to gif conversion,

I've been restricted by my own thought, I thought, doing the overlay thing will be more straightfoward and faster, THAT!!! is if I've a fast and new PC, using ScreentoGif (it's a great software though!! but of couse, Giphy Capture is the best!) is too slow...

slow till, maybe I break it down to a few steps to create gif, will be faster!!!

then, I figure out how to do it, take "picture" is easy,

doing the gif thing it goes like that, again, my bad!!!! I've been using avidemux to cut my video, and now, I find using vlc is just soooooooooooooo convenient and fast!!!!! blindme!

I should have started using looooooooooooooooooong time ago, allllllllllllllllllllllllllll this while!!!

so, what I now do is, if it's a long video, then, I use vlc to record certain section, it'll be in .ts format,

with the .ts, I then go to ezgif to convert to gif...

if it'll be .mp4 it's better, cos, it can be played on the ezgif website while picking your start-end time...

but then, if the .ts file is a straightforward thing, no more editing need, ezgif instead, can convert it like a breeze!!!!

gosh!! I should have started using it loooooooooooooooong time ago, with my struggling slow PC...

and that, with ezgif, the gif I want, will be generated, better still is, I can resize on the fly, and make sure it's small enough to deliver the message, that's all, it doesn't have to be super clear HD form, anyway!!!!!

I've been looking for good (and easy to use) gif maker for iOS and windows! so far, Giphy Capture (but only available for MacOS) is the best!

I look and look, on iOS, it's come down to these 2! Gif Maker by Float Tech - I prefer this, as the steps to make one, is slightly simpler compared to... Gif Toaster by AppMadang - actually it's about the same as Gif Maker as mentioned, just that, there's a little bit more things to tap tap, so...

oh, I'm talking about video to gif / overlay type of gif maker!

as for Windows, I rest my case, I have look into some, some online, some installable! in the end, ScreentoGif is still the winner!!!

I've been testing with some browsers again, yes, again, cos, my PC is getting older and older, and slower and slower~

so, I thought if there'll be a real suitable browser for my super old PC, wait, it's NOT that old in fact, I got it in 2019,

to my standard, it's not considered old!!! anything that's below 10 years of usage, is not OLD!!!!

anyway,

people said, firefox is best, but it hung on me once in a while, or, it'll freeze once in a while, and that, I'll have to wait,

though I'm so used to the extensions, and particularly the bookmark manager of chrome browser, I thought if they browser is fast and lightweight enough, I'll consider switching,

I started to use back MS edge again, ok, it's fine, however!!!!! it somehow, will freeze once in a while,

so, I'm back to using chrome browser again~

maybe it freezes too, once in a while, but I'm kinda used to the pattern of it freezing, and maybe it's psychological, I thought the "duration" for it to get out of the "freeze" is slightly shorter,

thus!!! I guess, I'll have to stick to chrome!!!

till I get a new PC, alright??
