Forever in love with the quiet space reserved for Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng’s relationship. We don’t get much of their dynamic together in canon bc wwx is the narrator/protag, but I have so many thoughts about the narrow window of time when wwx had left and they knew she was going to leave to get married but it was just them. Trying to pick up the broken tatters of their family legacy. Do you ever think about how much guilt yanli must of had, to leave Jiang Cheng alone? Guilt, that she wanted this one thing (Jin Zixuan) and was basically abandoning her brother- her brother, who would never hold it against her. Who would urge her to do what makes her happy, to reach for that happiness no matter the cost (him, lotus pier).

Papercraft commission of Mu Qing and Feng Xin! I love these two and their relationship; this was such a fun piece to work on. :D

Their manhua designs are very beautiful and regal-looking, so I incorporated a lot of metallic papers to give the artwork that opulent feeling. Plus, of course, lots of detailed fluttering hair (courtesy of Mu Qing's lavish ponytail)!

what's the best* accident/injury you could fake or manufacture on a night hunt to motivate a Romantic Rescue (tm)?

*best is definitely a subjective criteria. You could interpret this as "most effective", or "funniest", or "with the most collateral damage". Follow your heart.

Today's my birthday, which means I get to be self-indulgent and post art of my favorite fictional little man! \o/ And I do mean self-indulgent - this one was such a delight to make every step of the way. I'm always excited when I get commissioned to make papercraft art of Jiang Cheng, and even more excited when I get to craft him some beautiful robes, show off his Zidian skills, and spatter him with a little blood! I was especially happy with the paper for Zidian - it's holographic irl, and reflects all sorts of vibrant blues and coppery pinks when tilted. It really looks like lightning flashing as JC strikes!
