Gorsestar / Gorse Fur

This is a real old one, wanted to pair it with a comic about his leadership ceremony but gave up.

The comic explained that Windclan leadermarks are silly cause of a long term prank windstar pulled on gorsestar in his ceremony.

Basically He took too long to get his nine lives cause he was heartbroken over her death and when he eventually did, she gave him a floppy ear as a leader mark for making her wait too long. They had a good laugh over it.

And finally white diamond!! 💎 💎💎 She prided herself on being superior and perfect, so I made her a gray wolf! Ancestor of dogs.

Smth I noticed is that in her first appearance she’s completely on grayscale but in her SUF appearances she has a little pinkish hue to her, this ofc could be because of the environment she’s in, the whole off color thing or cuz grayscale sucks and they replaced it as soon as she stopped being a villain.

Gonna try to do all the important doggos first but I’d love to actually draw all the characters that have some light on the episodes! (Like, holly blue and famethyst were a big part of an episode so I will def make them but the uncorrupted gems for example don’t have that big of a chance)

I noticed that I wrote her instead of him and I was too lazy to correct it cuz it’s a whole dang sentence and tumblr insists on this “you mess up once in your tags you gotta write EVERYTHING again” life

So... are the Diamond Dogs still huge?

YES, very big doggos. Tried picking bigger breeds with long limbs for them (kinda failed with pink) to compliment their size.

Dog breed sizes are separated in two (with the exception of the diamonds, fusions and humans)

Big/medium and small

i have a rule where a small dog breed like a chihuahua is never going to be bigger than a medium or big dog breed like a shiba or a borzoi for example.

But sizes don’t matter if you’re comparing dogs from the same category. Ex : in real life a borzoi (lapis) is taller than a Tibetan mastiff (jasper), but in this AU they’re on the same “big” category, so, to better match their original designs I can make them the same size or make the Tibetan mastiff bigger if it needs to~

Pink diamond, she’s my favorite gem design of the show, her clothes are so dang cute~~🌸🌸 All the other diamonds have elegant looking breeds with fancy names and I wanted to give her smth different so she’s a chow chow!

I like how her design rlly stands out against the other diamonds, not only in size but in clothes as well, her outfit looks silly so I decided to give her a full body dog suit to emphasize that on her dog version.

It’s very interesting that her story is told backwards throughout the series, I think that’s part of the reason she’s so controversial, at first she was depicted as such a flawless and good character but then ended up as a bad pretty much flawed one, especially after the whole spinel thing.

There’s a video on YouTube that compiles all her appearances in chronological order, so her first show appearance is the last one on this video, it’s rlly interesting and I think worth a watch, it’s called From a Diamond to a Rose (revised) 🌸✨

Hello! I may or may not go around and ask this to the other blogs I follow, but do you have a story behind your username? Sorry if this was already asked..

It was the name of my treecko from my Pokémon emerald team!

When I made this blog I honestly didn’t have a name for it then I randomly remembered this treecko and boom.

it was a place holder till I found smth that I rlly liked but I guess that didn’t go according to plan lmao,,,, I’ve been thinking of changing my name recently. If I ever find a name I truly identify with I’ll change it, but till then I’ll be gekkozilla.

Also the “-zilla” names are dumb and I want to escape from it, I haven’t even watched a single Godzilla movie smh.

Yellow diamond, smth new I learned is that she has two outfits! A formal one (she uses in her first appearance and in the trial) and a regular one.

Her outfit is like a dog vest with a lil cape lmao, the holes on her shoulders give the illusion of shoulder pads.

She’s a German shepherd, obedient, overprotective and intelligent doggos.

lmao yeah, it’s definitely him. Though I’m curious to know why is that one spirit cat his accomplice, like, he doesn’t have any motives to harm the clans does he? That is very mysterious.

Thankfully blond boi isn’t the brains of the operation, it would make much more sense for him to be manipulated by someone else. They did a very good job with this villian tho, never have I ever wanted to see someone killed so bad before.

Also, I hope that bramble never gets his body back and dies tragically, it would be an unfair and very warrior cats like death. (And we get SQUIRRELSTAR) we are lacking on those now that shadowsight is magically alive, it would’ve been so much interesting to see his POV in ghost form and with rootspring as his messenger to the real world.

(He shouldn’t have survived btw, especially with those infected wounds, also when he poisoned himself?? What the fuck?? He should’ve died there too.... that’s some thick ass plot armor guys)
