YALL, I do NOT see enough reflectivedetective (glisten x Rodger) fanfics on Tumblr! Like… any…

I think this is the the only fanfic of these two here currently… well damn

This takes place in an au where they got saved from the building with the twisteds, and now are back to doing the show/whatever they were doing. Idk the lore, but in a new building!! (Aka, a happy ending au)

The loud buzz of kids filled the building, the footsteps and voices spread to almost every corner.

Rodger stood to the side of a larger crowd, the magnifying glass observed every face, looking for a specific mirror.

Yet, all he saw were kids and fellow toons, but not the toon he was searching for.

Rodger honestly expected not to see Glisten, he was the main star of a new short they were recording. But it didn’t make it any less disappointing.

He sighed, walking off. Deciding to just explore this place, get used to his new surroundings. Maybe sign a few autographs for the kids? He didn’t know. He just wanted to see glisten.

As much as he wanted to waltz into the recording studio and see his beloved, he knew the directors would be mad.

As he walked in no particular direction, he didn’t notice the quick footsteps approaching him from the behind.

The group of kids, between 14-6. Walked in the same direction as him, their eyes looking around with a curious glint. One looked over to where the footsteps were coming from, seemingly getting a few others to look too. They giggled.

Rodger didn’t pay any attention to them… till he felt a hand on his shoulder, turning him around. Before he could process, he felt the familiar sensation of someone tapping their frame against his.

The feeling was quick, before glisten pulled back and laughed, speaking with a teasing tone

“miss me?”

Rodger froze, his glass face almost a cherry red, the same shade as glistens lipstick, which was staining the area where his mouth would be if he had one.

The laughter got louder, mixed in with the combined harmony of at least 20 voices going “ooooohhh”.

Rodger was never very “PDA” per se. But he wasn’t mad, more embarrassed, he lifted one of his hands to the back of his neck, looking away from the teasing face of glisten. He wanted to say something, but no words came out.

Glisten smiled,

“sorry Rodge, couldn’t help it!”

He gave the flustered magnifying glass one more kiss on his cheek.

He’s gonna be the death of Rodger one day, ain’t he?
