Summary:

Leo and Takumi look forward to their chance to attend Nohr's autumn festival together, to wear costumes and compete at the games. But on the night of the festival Leo changes his mind about attending. Takumi refuses to leave him at the castle alone, and the pair try to make the best of the evening by finding other ways to compete. Leo soon learns that even when they aren't playing a traditional game, Takumi is ever a formidable opponent.

(as always id love if you read the tags carefully but one little nsfw note under the cut)

Note: no penetration happens in this fic but takumi is the one who takes initiative in the beginning so it might read as takumi/leo in terms of dynamic? if thats important to you.

talking about creative endeavors

i've been chugging along for now. I may not post much for a while because I'm hoping to draw a long comic. I'm in the process of writing the script but the scenario is all planned out and hopefully it won't be more than 60 pages. (grimace emoji)

I never really talk about WIPs because I think maybe if people know what's coming they won't enjoy the final piece as much but I guess if you're that sort of person you can stop reading now

I wanted to make a comic about Leo trying to learn more about Hoshido by visiting various places, and while they travel alone together, Takumi is confronted by a lot of feelings towards his friend. It's a pretty simple set up but I think if I get too into things like lore and worldbuilding (or if I forsake that entirely) I'm going to create something confusing. As usual the story is mostly fluff and romance with a little bit of insecurity from Takumi who is the main POV character.

I've been thinking about making a longer comic for a while and I'm really happy to finally have a concept and I really hope this time I make it through to the end. I don't talk about it a lot but I started a very big AU comic and I got to 70 pages in the sketch but that wasn't even halfway through the script I planned and it grew too daunting to continue. potentially 30-60 pages is a lot more doable.

That being said I've always been sort of afraid of disappearing from the internet. I'm already not very publicly active and frankly I don't really know how to interact with the internet without my art being the focal point of my existence here. I don't feel particularly brave about it. But I think in the more recent months reaction to my art has declined and less people look at my work now anyway, so it might be the best time to be able to go on yaoi sabbatical?

lastly, baby leo getting added to feh? I'm busy with comms right now though so I feel like I can't even draw fanart or do anything about his existence. but he's very cute. I'm happy that his past 2 feh alts haven't been heavily tomato focused and he feels a lot more like himself now. Also another leo in less than a year? what happened to the intelligent systems that forgot he existed for 4 years? highly suspicious (im joking)

The last one is about Takumi learning about giving chocolates to loved ones during the lovers' festival, and Leo who wants to give chocolates but not in a romantic way, really,

For Leokumi Week I also wrote a handful of short fics but because I'm slow and stressed I didn't finish them during the week itself. I posted 2 last week and only just posted the 3rd entry. I'm compiling 4 of them in the above AO3 link and the last one as a standalone.

Below the cut is the summaries for each posted chapter

Chapter 1: Other's Perspective. Hinata makes some connections regarding his lord's romantic inclinations. Hinata POV.

Chapter 2: Animal. Takumi is out picking flowers alone while vehemently denying his feelings, when he's interrupted by a surprise guest.

Chapter 3: Travel. Leo and Takumi vacation at the beach. Established relationship.

yesterday was the 9th anniversary of my descent into leokumi and so i drew a new thing sort of in celebration. also second image is a throwback to my first leokumi drawing, which i touched up a bit a while ago to match my current art style more (though the color scheme from back then was really nice actually?!)

I might have something else a little bit later but this is all for art! it was very strange starting out with a big comic and then ending with something significantly less effort but that's how it ended up being. i think i still got to be pretty experimental this year too so it was fun
