Dear SilverWing12, author of “our souls were made from the stars”,

I don´t know if you will ever come across my letter, or if anyone ever cares to read it. But nevertheless.

I hope this letter finds you well.

It has been a few days since I came home after a busy week and decided to reread your masterpiece of a fanfiction, when suddenly the page could not be loaded. I thought I had the wrong link, but after a few minutes I realized, the page and your entire account has been deleted. It was a shock. I never realized until that moment how attached I actually was, how much of a sanctuary Yavannas pastures actually were for me, but now that it is gone, I feel like Galadriel did when Mairon suddenly broke off their connection for a millenium, and without a word, disappeared. I know he had a good reason to do so, and you probably have too.

When I read that chapter in your fanfiction a few months ago I cried, because I felt so much with her. Now I feel like that again, but sadly, there is no next chapter or comment from you that will assure me, that in the end, everything will be fine and we will get our HEA.

I don´t know what happened to you, I hope you are doing well and deleting it doesn´t have anything to do with trolls that apparently torment a lot of talented writers in the Haladriel community and make them delete their works. Maybe you just lost interest in writing it, maybe you had doubts about it, like expressing in one of your authors note. Maybe you were too busy for it, and it just felt like a burden to you. I hope this took the pressure of you and you can be free of it and be happy.

I just hope you know your work was loved and cherished by many. To me it felt like all the characters you wrote about, were actually real persons, and since I was not a LOTR fan before, to me your story was my headcanon. You made my want to read the Simarillion. And I want to thank you for that, not many writers can accomplish that level of writing and this is your achievement, forever.

I hope that maybe one day you feel like coming back to it, and if you do and feel good about it, please don´t hesitate to share it again with us, we would love to hear from you again. But if you decide you don´t want to, that is fine as well.

That was all that I desperately wanted to say to you, whether you will find this letter or not. Now there is nothing left for me to say, instead I will quote Gandalf: "May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks”.
