I've been playing with Sims AkiHaru for a while now, and I have to say, recreating Haruki's house was one of the highlights. I had a lot of fun with this project.
The main layout is based on the manga, with some tweaks because... seriously, the toilet can't be between the kitchen and the fridge, can it? Kizu, please be serious.
The anime makes a lot more sense in this, at least.
While we're in the kitchen, some um, sad kitchen shots.
I tweaked the bathroom layout to match the anime, since we got a good scene there.
Sims version, of course, get into a lot of shenanigans inside that bathroom.
(Don't ask me why Akihiko's marker is yellow, idk what I am not giving him. Whatever it is, clearly, he has to kiss Haruki first before other needs are met.)
Haruki's house is one of the things that clue us in that this kid actually comes from a well-to-do family. A 1LDK in Tokyo is not a small thing, nevermind Haruki's excuse about how it is far from the station, etc. Your place is still big, Haruki! You even have a car ffs. Your family has money!
Here is a shot of Mr. Big Shot himself walking through the entryway. (I love having a genkan in my houses. 💛)
I did have to redecorate Haruki's canon plain-ass walls-
-because these two actually had the gall to complain to me about the lacking decor. Okay? That's not my fault, though??
Look at these losers actually looking so happy in their living room.
And here they—Akihiko as a musician and writing music for licenses, and Haruki as a writer and freelance artist—working like God intended.
(I kid, money should be free.)
(And yes, this apartment is changing by the season along with them aaahh-)
It's winter now while I'm playing, but let's go back to summer just to show the last part of the house: the balcony.
This is how we wished that scene had gone, isn't it? 🥲
Give them some time. Soon, Yayoi will be calling Haruki "Haru-chan" and will be no. 1 person to tell Akihiko, "You did what? Are you stupid? Haru-chan deserves better, go back and apologize to him right now!"

I think this is my favorite moment for Akihiko. He's used to constantly giving and making sure he doesn't miss, and no one has ever told him that he doesn't always have to do that. So many—maybe even all—of his relationships were transactional, with Akihiko having to do a service in order to get something in return. It must've been a nice surprise to have Haruki be so chill and tell him, "I got this," for a change. 💚💛
