Metabreccia with a nice collection of clasts of marble, phyllite, and quartzite, flattened by the deformation processes that produced the Northern Apennine belt. I love metabreccias, because they show an endless variety of clasts, colors, and deformation patterns.

Do what you want ‘cause a pyrite is free! You are a pyrite! 🇬🇧 Large pyrite crystals surrounded by white mica and quartz in a metabreccia. You can actually see them with a reddish rim at PPL because they are altered to a mixture of Fe oxides and hydroxides – known to ordinary mortals as... rust. Anyway, the cubic habit of pyrite is well evident! NX - N// Width: 3 mm Monte Folgorito, Apuane, Italy
