College witchcraft
It’s not easy because I don’t always have the energy. But I try to make the little things I do magical. So here are some of the things I do when I’m tired and low on energy:
•Doing shower spells with a homemade coconut sugar scrub.
•clearing out bad energy with an incense or just burning it because it relaxes me
•turning on my himalayan salt lamp and putting my hands above the soft glow of light
•crying because emotional blockages
•stretching to release pent up energy from my body that causes harmful tension to my muscles
•reading a poem and attaching a manifestation spell at the end
•cooking up food in my crockpot and stirring it like the delicious cauldron it is
•art: infusing color magic into your artwork
•meditation: which honestly is mostly me laying on the floor on my yoga mat with a few crystals of my choice because I got stressed out.
•talking to the moon 🌙 because she is beautiful and always there protecting me and supporting me.
It doesn’t have to be something big always. Just attach your own magical intentions and go with the flow.☀️

college witch tips!
Tumblr media
being a witch and living in a tiny dorm or apartment is a hassle… but here’s some (cheap and easy) tips to make your life a lot easier coming from a college witch!
quick note: if you are a student, you can get six months free of amazon prime with a student email account, and from then on out prime is only $50 instead of $100! amazon is a great place for tons of cheaper witchy resources (and really worth it for textbooks).
💎 crystals! whether you’re sharing a room with someone or in a room by yourself, plenty of people collect and use crystals. check for local flea markets or see if there is an occult shop in your area, there’s bound to be some there. great starter crystals are clear quartz (an essential crystal), amethyst, and rose quartz!
📚 the library! your school library will have some sort of resources. also don’t worry about people thinking you’re strange for checking out books on magick… i promise they don’t care!
🕯 candles and incense! when i lived in a dorm, i hated not being able to light candles and burn incense. invest in some battery powered candles! you can get packs at local dollar stores or walmarts. as for aroma related magick, purchase some oils and mix them with some salt water and spray them around your room! oil warmers or wax warmers are also wonderful alternatives.
📖 a grimoire/book of shadows! i highly suggest keeping a personal book. no, you don’t have to get some elaborate leather bound book that came straight out of hocus pocus for it to be legit. you could find a sketchbook somewhere, use a three ring binder, or buy a hardback book at a thrift store and paint over the pages! your book is what you make of it. it is your own novel of personal magical experiences and knowledge, so make it your own!
🌵 plants! invest in cacti and succulents especially if you are a beginner or live in a tight space, they’re easy to manage throughout the rough mishaps and late nights of school work. cacti are great for protection and banishing negativity, where succulents bring love and healing. both plants can represent the ability to survive through conditions others cannot. if you have a balcony, take advantage!
⚗️ jars! now is a great time to collect containers from thrift stores, gather old pickle jars, and look for sales and coupons craft stores may have since most of them will have all sorts of neat jars.
🔮 an altar! if you don’t have a roommate to worry about, great! do your thing. if you do (and the don’t exactly seem cool with the whole witch thing), you can make a subtle altar of candles, crystals, and some plants or flowers. they don’t have to be elaborate. you could keep a small altar in a shoe box or draw one in your bos/grimoire! get creative!
✍️ sigils! use sigils. abuse sigils. put them everywhere. write them in binders or on your skin, write them on sticky notes or ripped paper and put them places you’ll see them or bury them outside. sleep with a protective one under your pillow. there’s so many things to do and its so easy to use them!
🎨 get creative! you can make crystals out of salt (another thing you should invest in), learn how to read playing cards if you can’t afford a tarot deck, and never forget you can find the coolest things at thrift stores. paint can be your best friend!
☕️ tea and coffee! a keurig is a wonderful investment. whether you like coffee or tea, it gives you boiling water fast without leaving a dorm. enchant your keurig and remind yourself of the properties in your drink to help you learn.
✨ decorating! take advantage of things like twinkle lights and washi tape! if you don’t know about washi tape, its a decorating tape that does not damage walls. create constellations or sigils with washi tape on your walls! amazon also sells many cheap tapestries. give yourself a comfortable and pleasant space to live and work!
⏳ plan! enchant your planners to help you remember due dates, and while you’re at it, keep track of moon phases and other events! many calendars will tell you when full moons are.
⚖️ meditate! this is something i find very important to stay sane during hard semesters. if you have a roommate, maybe meditate in the morning or late at night laying in bed. you could also meditate when they have classes. its okay if you cant every day, but its important to remember to save time for you.
🏃‍♀️ walks! if you live in a dorm there’s a big chance you’ll be walking to class. enjoy these walks with nature, read outside every now and again, but make sure that you are always safe.
⏱ take your time! you do not have to collect all of these things in a week, month, or even year. witchcraft is all about intent and energy. you hold the power, the items are only there to help. manifest your own power, collect at your own pace.
🔎research! always research properties of things. buy cheap dried herbs from grocery stores and work with them, figure out what to put in your coffee to help you with your day, and learn how to enchant crystals to help you feel a little more confident about your studies. most importantly, learn to balance your studies and your witchy research, and don’t let witchcraft get in the way of your schoolwork. school should come first always!
i hope this helped some of you college witches, new and experienced! i am always open to answer questions! happy casting!

dorm friendly magick for broom-closeted student witches
Tumblr media
Got roommates that aren’t into witchcraft/magick? Can’t burn incense in your dorm room? Don’t have time for elaborate rituals between studying for exams and writing papers? I’ve been there. Here are some of my favorite undercover spells and rituals for witches living that college life.
Journal Magick
Tumblr media
Keep a manifestation journal! Find a journal that really speaks to you and makes you feel good every time you open it, whether it’s a bulky leatherbound tome or has a holographic cover and hot pink pages – what matters is that you feel a connection to it.
Every morning, write down the things you want to manifest in your journal in the present tense, as if they had already happened. [Note: this works better if you are writing the same thing every day for at least a few weeks. Consistent intent is key!]
For more information on this type of manifestation, just search “scripting” on YouTube and you’ll find approximately 642934 videos on the subject.
This is a really great technique for closet witches, because no one is going to be suspicious of you writing in a notebook – plus, it’s normal for people to want to keep their journals private.
Work with correspondences just like you would for a normal spell! You can print out photos of herbs, crystals, tarot cards, astrological signs, or moon phases that correspond to your intention and glue them into your journal (or draw them, if you have artistic talent). You could even get an essential oil that matches your intention and dab a drop of it on the page. You’re essentially creating an altar dedicated to your intention, just on paper instead of in a physical altar space.
Tap into the magick of color by writing your intentions with a pen in a corresponding color (green = abundance/wealth, pink = love and friendship, yellow = academic success, etc.).
Tea and Coffee Magick
Tumblr media
Tea and coffee are already essentially potions, and no one is going to think twice about a college student drinking a lot of coffee/tea.
Coffee is associated with grounding and protection, and it adds energy to any spell it is added to. Black tea is associated with protection, courage, and abundance. Green and white tea have their own, slightly different magickal uses. Based on these correspondences, you can use coffee and tea as a base for undercover potions!
For mental clarity and memory retention, brew a mixture of black coffee, lion’s mane, chaga, and ginger. For a caffeine-free alternative, brew an herbal tea with rosemary and peppermint.
To cleanse negative energy and release stress, brew a mixture of black coffee, Ashwagandha, cinnamon, tulsi or basil, and Eleuthero. This is based on a Four Sigmatic blend, lmao.
For a sneaky prosperity spell, brew a mixture of black coffee, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla. Yes, that is essentially pumpkin pie spice, and yes, you can use a pre-mixed pumpkin pie blend instead of buying the individual spices.
I could go on, but you get the idea. You can customize your morning beverage to suit any magickal or spiritual need.
Most plants have medicinal uses that are the same or similar to their magickal uses. So if anyone asks, tell them you’re adding these extra herbs for their nutritional and/or medicinal value.
You can also charge your tea or coffee with crystals. Just set a small crystal associated with your intention (amethyst for mental clarity, black tourmaline for protection, citrine for prosperity, etc.) next to the mug for a few minutes, or place it on top of your coffee maker. Be sure to charge both the crystal and the drink with your intention!
Candle Magick
Tumblr media
If your dorm lets you have candles then congrats, because candle spells are both super powerful and a super easy way to hide your magick in plain sight.
Find a candle in a scent and color that match your intention. For example, you could use a pink, rose-scented candle for a love spell.
You can find custom spell candles made by witches for witches on Amazon and Etsy, and these have the added bonus of having been specifically created for magickal use. Some of the businesses I’ve personally had good experiences with are Art of the Root (available on Amazon), Esoteric Arts (available on Etsy), and Crystal Journey (Amazon).
That being said, I’ve gotten good results with $1.99 scented candles from Walmart, so please don’t feel like you need to spend a fortune on special candles for your spell to be successful.
In a pinch, an unscented white candle can be used for any intention. You can get these at the dollar store, and it’s never a bad idea to have a few on hand.
Oil Magick
Tumblr media
Your dorm has a no-open-flames rule, so candles and incense are out of the question. No problem – you can get similar results with essential oils.
An essential oil literally contains the concentrated essence of a plant. Magickally speaking, this makes them a powerful way to add some oomph to your spells. They’re also commonly used for aromatherapy, so your roommate probably won’t be phased by you diffusing them in your dorm.
You can create custom EO blends the same way you would create an incense blend, by combining different plants based on their correspondences. You can also buy pre-mixed blends online if you’re feeling lazy or if you have a certain blend you know you’re going to use a lot like, say, a focus-enhancing blend for studying.
Another option, and one that’s more traditionally witchy, is to use magickal oils/ritual oils. A magickal oil is an oil that has been created for a specific magickal purpose – it’s like a spell in a bottle. A ritual oil is created for a specific use in magickal ritual. You can find tons of different ways to incorporate these oils into your daily life for some very subtle witchcraft.
You can create your own magickal oils by combining herbs, essential oils, and crystals that match your intention, or you can buy magickal oil blends from witch-owned businesses. Art of the Root has my absolute favorite oils – I have like six different blends, and they’re all ridiculously powerful.
Some ways you can use magickal oils: 1.) wear them as a body oil, 2.) diffuse them like you would an essential oil blend, 3.) use them to anoint and bless objects, like tests or study guides, 4.) add them to spiritual baths, and a million more. [Note: many magickal oils come with real herbs and resins in the bottle. These chunky bits could damage a diffuser, so do keep that in mind.]
Personally, I wear magickal oils on a daily basis in the place of perfume, since most of the ones I own smell really good. As I apply them, I say a small incantation to power them up. For example, if I’m wearing an attraction oil, when I put it on I’ll say something like, “I am powerfully attractive to the people and things that will improve my life.” Which oil I choose to wear depends on the day and the area of my life where I want some extra help.
Tech Magick
Tumblr media
The nice thing about being a witch in the 21st century is that, if all else fails, you can keep your entire magickal practice contained on your laptop and/or phone. And even if you’re not doing 100% of your witchcraft in a virtual space, you can still use your technology as a tool in your practice.
Pinterest is the ultimate visualization tool. You can create a virtual altar to a deity or spirit guide by dedicating a Pinterest board to them, or create vision boards for the things you want to manifest, or create a brainstorming space to plan your full moon rituals… the possibilities are endless.
Keep your Book of Shadows and/or manifestation journal in a Word document. If you’re really concerned about privacy, you can even password protect these documents. Another pro of an electronic Book of Shadows is that most word processors have a “search” function that lets you look things up more easily.
Make a devotional playlist for a deity or spirit guide. Making Spotify playlists for my deities is one of my favorite devotional acts! I’ll put together all of the songs that remind me of that deity, and I can listen to it anytime, anywhere to instantly connect with them. And don’t be afraid to ask your deities what type of music they like – you may be surprised by the answer!
If any other witches have similar tips, feel free to add onto this! This is just stuff that I’ve found works for me, but magick is deeply personal and everyone will do things a little bit differently.
And not to shove my content in everyone’s faces, but I did just post a spell to enchant your school notebooks on my YouTube channel, so check that out if you’re interested!

Yule : Ways To Celebrate
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Tumblr media
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Burn A Yule Log
Yule logs are a traditional part of this season’s celebrations – a big piece of wood that will burn throughout the festive period. If you have a fireplace at home, build a fire and when it is going well, add your Yule log. A piece of charred wood is usually saved to light the Yule fire the following year.
Perhaps you’d like to hold hands around the Yule fire and spend some quiet time watching the flames and reflecting on the year past. Or you could sing Yule songs, such as Deck the Halls or The Holly and The Ivy together.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Have A Solstice Walk
Take your family out into the natural world to gather greenery for your home. Take time selecting your Yule log, finding a dry piece of wood that has fallen. Spend some time (if it’s dry) sitting on the Earth, or place your hands on the Earth, connecting with the pulse of life. Bring home the gifts of Nature, selecting branches and berries that have naturally fallen, to fill your house with the evergreen magic of winter.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Light A Fire
Gather with friends, family, neighbours and community to light a Solstice fire. Watching the flames leap and dance connects us to life and light, and the practice of our ancestors many years ago.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Feed Animals
Take your kids into the woods to feed the animals. Not only does this connect us to Mother Earth and all her creatures, it helps us understand our place in Nature. Find a clearing and leave offerings for birds and woodland creatures there, extending your gratitude for all of life.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Tell Legends & Stories Around The Fire
Telling stories around the fire is such a heart-warming family activity. Maybe you have family stories that evoke a communal belly laugh, or perhaps you’d like to tell the story of the Holly King or another topical Solstice legend. Turn off the lights and gather together by candlelight to bring magic into your hearts and minds.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Have A Feast
Throughout history, people have gathered together to feast! This time of year is synonymous with feasting. You could invite people over for a pot-luck dinner, or make a big hot-pot of warming stew for the family and eat it around the Solstice fire.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Celebrations
Join with others in celebrating Pagan Yuletide. Attend a ritual, be part of a festival, join an on-line discussion, host a party, listen to a Yuletide show on internet radio.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Create A Circle Of Candles
Invite each family member to light a candle and arrange them in a circle. You might decide to honour the four corners – North, South, East and West – and what they each bring into your lives. Or you might choose to remember lost loved ones. Each family member makes a wish for the coming year as they light their candle.
The centre candle should be lit by parents, with a reverential prayer of thanks for each family member, for the year gone and the year to come, and for the gift of the sun. If you can, leave the candles to burn down so they cast a glow into your family home throughout the evening.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Educate Yourself
Learn about holidays foods, symbols, customs, and/or lore from an ancestral ethnicity and incorporate something you have learned into your celebration of Yuletide.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Write Down Your Gratitudes For The Year
Each family member is invited to write down the things they have been grateful for in the past year. It could be the returned health of a loved one, or a new job or shared activity. It could be a memorable shared experience. It could simply be precious time as a family.
You can either hang these gratitudes on your Yule tree or burn them ceremonially in the Solstice fire. It is also a good chance to think about habits, activities, or aspects of your life you’d like to let go of in the coming year – these can be symbolically burnt while speaking your intention aloud.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Make A Yule Wreath
Wreaths are very much a part of Solstice celebrations, honouring the Holly King and the evergreen plants that remind us that life still remains in the darkness of winter. On your Solstice walk, you could select evergreen plants to decorate your wreath, or perhaps you might make a wreath from cut out paper leaves and berries. Hang your wreath on the front door so that each time you pass it, you remember that life springs eternal.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Santa's Origins
Recognize Santa as a multi-cultural, multi-religious character - learn about the Pagan roots of Santa and other Winter Solstice sacred gift bringers, including the Goddess Holda.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Give Thanks
Solstice is the antithesis of the advertising world’s Christmas. It is a time of gratitude for Nature’s gifts and a pause in the rush at this time of year. However you choose to celebrate the return of the sun with your family, or whether you decide to simply spend some quiet time alone (one way to bring the energy of Solstice deep into your heart is to start the day with a Sun Salutation or two), make this special day one of reflection and stillness, a chance to breathe and give thanks for the beautiful natural world.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Give To Charity
Contribute to a charity of your choice. Spread the joy of Yuletide. This is a good time to give to others.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Decorate Your Home
Decorate your home with sacred plants connected with Winter Solstice: evergreen wreaths & boughs, mistletoe, holly, and ivy. Learn about the Pagan symbolism of each.
Harvest a Yule tree in a sacred way from a tree farm that practices sustainable agriculture, if you can, or intuitively select a tree, cut or symbolic, from a shop in your area.
Set up the Yule tree in your home and decorate it with lights, sun symbols, and other images. Reflect on blessings of joy, renewal, and well-wishes as you decorate the tree.
☽⦁──────── ⦁❄️⦁ ────────⦁☾
Meditation
Meditate on the rising and/or setting of the Solstice Sun. Note its position on the horizon at this time of year and observe its change in position on the horizon as the days start lengthening again.
Focus on world peace and planetary well-being in your rituals, meditations, prayers, and other workings. Peace-making was part of Winter Solstice among many peoples in the past. Keep this tradition alive in the present and future.

HOW TO READ YOUR PALMS 101 ::
Chiromancy, or palm reading, is the ancient art of using the palms of the hands to learn more about a person or tell their future or past life. While it is known to have roots deep within India, I believe this divination was practiced from the first peoples that walked this earth - it goes back to Lemuria. Today, it is one of the most common methods of communicating with the divine.⁣
Let’s take a look at some palm reading basics, including what the major lines mean. (SCROLL THROUGH THE VIDEOS ABOVE) ⁣
Which palm should you read? Well, ideally, you can read both.. this is my favorite way to read past life/future life. The theory is though that the left hand shows potential, or even lessons that you’ve learned in your past, while the right hand shows what you’ve done with that potential or possible lessons to learn and embrace. Some palm readers believe that “the left is what the gods give you, the right is what you do with it”.⁣
The lines :: ⁣
The Heart Line⁣
The heart line runs horizontally across the top of the palm.  It represents  both the physical and emotional state of your heart.⁣
The Head Line⁣
The head line runs horizontally across the middle of the palm, just below the heart line. it represents the physical and emotional state of your brain and mind.⁣
The Life Line⁣
The life line is the curved line that begins somewhere between the end that finger and thumb in curves downward toward the base of the sun. This line does not indicate how long you will live, but instead represents various strengths such as vitality and prosperity.⁣
The Fate Line⁣
Though this line is not present in everyone, it can be found at running vertically from the base of the palm and up to the middle. This line represents aspects of your life such as career path and success.⁣

Lavender and what to do with it!
So I have an awful lot of lavender to harvest and part way through I realised I’m not too sure what to do with it all. So I took to some researching online and have a few ideas;
Lavender wreaths for above beds (originally was going to be just a dried bunch but these are gorgeous) one for home, uni and other family members who want them (maybe two for uni...)
Lavender crown. Just because.
Lavender wands one for actual magic and others for keeping clothes/shoes smelling good.
Bed spell sachets (for family and a few friends. (I need to work out a good spell))
Any extra will either be stored as bunches and/or several airtight jars of the flower heads!
These will then slowly get used up in bath spells/other spell works as a focus or an ingredient
Anyone got any other ideas??

The Root Of Success - Spell Jar
Tumblr media
This is a nifty little spell jar designed to bring money and success to you. You can use it to get a raise at work, maybe land a client or even getting more sales through your shops.
Ingredients
▪️Sassafras Root Bark - for positive results and to bring money
▪️Dandelions leaf - for manifesting wishes and requests, acts as a catalyst
▪️Comfrey root - for bringing in money
▪️Green salt
▪️Lodestone and magnetic sand (I used untumbled Lodestone with the sand still attached) and some extra to sprinkle
▪️Green candle
▪️Sealable bottle or jar
Method
▪️ Add a layer of salt to the bottom
▪️ Drop the Lodestone in the centre and sprinkle the remaining magnetic sand around to create a layer
▪️ Add the comfrey root as one layer, the sassafras root bark as one layer and the dandelion leaf as the final layer and put the lid on the bottle or jar
▪️ Lighting the candle and using the wax, drip it over the lid and focus on your request.
For me, I concentrated on the amount I wanted, exactly how I was going to receive it and when I wanted it by and kept repeating it as I sealed the jar.
▪️ Make sure the jar is well sealed
▪️ Keep the jar where you can see it (maybe where you get ready for work or your workshop) and when you do, think about your intent.

🍻🍀Prosperity Jar🍀🍻
Tumblr media
What you’ll need -
📈A jar (I used a baby food jar)
👑Jewlery (I used earrings that had no pair!)
🍀Dried Basil
🍀Dried Mint
💛Gold or Silver Glitter
💲Coins (Gold coins, pennies etc.)
💚A Green or Gold Candle
Optional: Four leaf clovers or anything else ’lucky’! 🍀. I added a citrine crystal since it’s known as the merchants stone.
Put everything in your spell jar, envisioning what you want as you do so. A chest of gold coins, money falling, beautiful jewelry, or maybe just your dream house. Anything that makes you think of the intent of money, luck and prosperity!
Once everythings in the jar, place your candle on top and light it (Or if it’s in a jar or tin, just pour the wax over the lid to seal it) As you see the wax drip down on to the jar say -
“Let my fortune grow. Let my luck flow.Bring me prosperity. Make it so.”
Recite this as many times as you wish while envisioning your future prospers. I wrote mine down and placed it inside the jar.
Either let the candle melt all the way down over the jar OR blow it out once the top is sealed (If you dripped the wax instead then just blow it out when covered)
Keep in a safe place or keep it near you whenever you need some luck, money or prosperity in your life.
💛💸🍀GOOD LUCK!🏆📈💚

[☉♑︎] Sun in Capricorn: December 22 - January 19
With the Sun moving into Capricorn, we become more steady and driven in our actions. We are much more likely to begin something new at this time and actually put in the necessary effort. We will be more reliable and responsible, and with both Mercury and the Sun being currently in Capricorn, any promises we make we will make sure to keep.
During this time we can look back on everything we’ve done this year and very realistically evaluate how well or bad we’ve done until now. We might also think about what we want to achieve next year and come up with a plan how to achieve it. This is the time to create a list of the goals you want to accomplish next year.
The Good: We will become more organized and ambitious. We can be bolder than we usually are and aim bigger in anything we do and plan.
The Bad: There is a chance that we may feel more pessimistic and be more selfish and cruel at times.
