Owl House au notes;

Hulk/Bruce

The son of a human (Brian) and a witch (Rebecca).

Still has DID in this au because the abuse that he experienced in his childhood is still the same (except now Brian takes a lot of his rage out on Bruce for being half-magic rather than imaginary perceivements of Bruce being a monster via his intelligence.

Although Brian DOES believe Bruce has been "cursed" rather than recognising that his son is mentally ill and strives for him to be cured in a manner similar to Eda's, but more,,,bad intentioned lmao.

Rebecca hadn't realised how bitter Brian would have gotten over the years and when she intended on escaping to the Demon Realm with her son, Brian stopped and attacked them.

Despite her fear, Rebecca couldn't bear to use magic against the man she once loved, something that gave Brian hid advantage and allowed him to murder her.

I still haven't quite worked out the details of Bruce either escaping to the Demon Realm as a child or finding his way there as an adult, so I'm just (hand waves for now).

Currently, he's a bit of a recluse to the rest of the Isles and prefers to stay to himself, it's safer for eveyone that way. Lives with his partners and children!

Palismen is a pitbull dog, she's named Mushroom :)

Not as good at pracical magic but has a knack for potions and abomination magic!

Doesn't react too kindly with people calling him cursed or making assumptions. Often this is what makes people assume that Bruce IS cursed, oddly enough.

Very powerful in terms of raw power, but years of trying to keep himself under control have made his more fine use rather messy.

Jen

Bruce's younger cousin who grew up in the Human Realm!

She ends up coming to live in the Demon Realm after she finds out magic is real and also. Lacks lawyers.

Does really love magic! She thinks it's really special and post-Belos era, Jen often splits her time between the Human and Demon Realms.

Takes up learning Glyph magic and is pretty good at it, albeit it took Jen some time to work on her drawing skills.

Her Palismen is a capuchin monkey named Hei Hei, based on the SH series where said monkey worked in the law firm.

If it's post Belos era, then Jen works with helping integrate Witches and Demons to the Human Realm, especially since she knows there aren't that many people avaliable to help.

Trying to find out if the Boiling Isles has therapy so she can shove Bruce and Hulk into it lmao.

Enjoying her time being Cool Aunt Jen to the kids and serves as someone they all need someone to talk to about their issues.

Currently setting up the first Boiling Isles law firm!

Red

A human being who wasn't aware of magic until he met Karen, a bird demon from the BI.

Despite the initial fear he felt, Red and Karen soon became close friends and eventually a couple. Both of them had agreed that they would move to the Boiling Isles, but Karen getting pregnant soon put those plans off.

Betty is soon born and for a while, there family are happy until years later, Karen contracts a sickness that the Human Realm is unable to treat, especially since it's hard to find any way back or to risk taking Karen to a human hospital.

After this, you know the digs with Red. He basically shuts off emotionally from Betty and getting lost in his grief while pushing Betty away since she reminds him too much of Karen.

HOWEVER, things change when three years later, Betty suddenly emerges a harpy form, something that she inherited from her mother, albeit slightly less monstrous looking thanks to human genes.

This soon prompts Red and Betty to move to the Boiling Isles for safety when the portal is re-opened and also acts as a place for Betty to get in touch with her Demon roots.

Now, Red is living out his retirement and to be close to his grandkids.

Isn't too fond of magic as a human understanding, but he's learned to appreciate it for the sake of his daughter and grandkids.

Does have a Palismen to make things easier for himself. It's a small red dragon named Lillian.

Ironically does have a certain degree of magical skill. Turns out there's a few witches in his bloodline! Red is. Unsure how to feel about that.

Samuel

A half witch and half human; Samuel grew up unknowing about his magical half until he was in his teens and began experiencing magical bursts, a result from being a late bloomer.

Phil and their father were pretty shitty about all of this and it was a few years before Sam eventually found out about his magic side and decided to relocate to the Boiling Isles to start a better life.

He's kinda going a little crazy with the sudden influx of new knowledge and what it offers him. It's common for Samuel to spend days holed up with whatever new subject he's found to study it as much as he physically can before something else takes hold.

Compared to other witches, Sam has rather weak magic in comparison when it comes to the strength of spells. But in what Sam lacks in strength, he makes up for in elaboration.

Has a keen eye for illusion and abomination magic as well as learning potions.

Palismen is a green mini octopus called Hestia.

Often has to cover his ears in the Human Realm due to the fact that he inherited the Witch Ears. Hates em since they always seem to flap whenever he's happy or flustered...

Spends a lot of his time working on inventions to help people with lesser or no magic.

Rick

Similar to Luz, Rick is a human boy who accidentally came across magic after catching Bruce casting a spell one evening.

Shocked at a Realm full of magic, it doesn't take long for Rick to decide that he'd much rather live there than in an empty magicless place where he's only seen as a burden by the people around him.

Cut scene to Bruce and Hulk now sweating bullets at the teenager who has forcibly adopted them and is eager to explore the Boiling Isles.

Unlike Luz, while Rick is thrilled at being able to learn magic, he's more relaxed at going between the Realms and isn't too torn up over "belonging" to either one of them.

I imagine by now, rather than attending Hexside, Rick is either in a magical university or, if TOH has ended, then he attends the University of Wild Magic to start learning the new Glyph system.

His palismen is a pangolin (haha) called Burrito.

While Rick can't do any active magic, he still has a skilled knowledge of illusion magic, Oracle magic and is talented in a degree for Bard magic!

Skaar

Fourth oldest of the Banner Siblings, Skaar's the firstborn of Hulk/Caiera, thinking that perhaps he's half demon orrrr some form of Golem??? We'll see.

Was born on the Boiling Isles and sees it as his true home vs the Human Realm being a place Skaar dislikes and only visits when be absolutely has to.

Mainly this is born out of the fact that Skaar is more naturally accepted on the Isles vs how he needs to hide a lot of himself around humans. Although Skaar IS enamoured with Earth animals!

Attending his later years in Hexside, both if the au takes place within show or post show along with their twin and younger sister.

Skaar's on the Beastkeeping track, but also into construction! Struggles a lot with other finer types of magic though.

He's close to his parents but has a slightly harder time with Bruce due to how different they are in terms of personalities, not to mention that Skaar is a huge reminder of Hulk for Bruce.

Likes hanging out with his siblings, but has a huge love for simply being able to run off into the wild for a few days. He thinks he connects to magic and beasts better this way.

Palismen is a wolf called Slash, he refers to Slash with they/them.

Has a naturally large bile sack due to his magical half, which gives Skaar a large amount of power.

The funniest thing about that one ep where Hulk had to team up with literal children is the fact that, if we're going off Betts and Thad being Betty/Hulk kids, this means that out of all four future Smashers, Hulk is literally the father of half the team.

Reading the new Cap that's now featuring General Maverick, I lowkey wished that he had become the new "big bad" of AoS season 5 because nothing seems funnier to me than a NEW old man hunting the hulks' and now Red has to deal with getting a taste of his old medicine vs Hulk who just Screams into the void.

Is there any rules to know about in terms of using our oc muses to rp with you, if you don't mind me asking?

I'd probably say the main thing is to be clear about their information? Unlike a canon media character, I can't look them up, so I'd say it'd be helpful if you had a bio for them for me to flick through, if there's anything super key about your OC, make sure to let me know! Powers, appearance, fun facts, ect.

If your oc is related to any of my muses, please let me know so we can find a way to work it into the AoS universe! It mostly causes more frustration for me if someone is like "btw my oc is Hulk's kid-" and then they just never go into detail about HOW it happened and what we think the relationship is like since that means I'm writing some characters in the dark here.

If your muse is over 18, any romantic or sexual relationships with characters Skaar/Hiro-Kala/Gwen is a straight up refusal as these muses are under 18. In a similar scale, I'd prefer to not do overly large age gaps with Rick/Lyra/Carmilla since they're 19-21 with people who are around 30+, though that's more of a personal boundary for me.

And lastly, just make sure your oc is respectful towards my muses identifies. I know this probably sounds insanely basic, but I think it's important to make it clear, especially when queer/gender identies and mental issues are a huge part of everyone's identities on this blog.
