Here we are, playing a league match with a staredown at baron pit when Pretzel interrupts our calls and says, "Guys, let’s make a game. I’m braindead and need a break. Let’s just make a game we can have fun with. How’s that?" Consequently, he caught our attention and asked for a call. That's when it all started. 

So we called up our trusty friends who are all looking for their big debut in the world of game development, joined a voice channel and waited patiently for the big reveal. 

The Pitch: “Let’s make a top-down 3D isometric Massively Multiplayer Online Sandbox Survival RPG Rogue-like for mobile that makes the players depressed” 

Calm was not the word I would choose to describe the reaction of the voice call, especially after hearing that. The chaos that ensued can be aptly expressed with one adjective for it, utter. 

One discord server creation (*shameless plug at the end), and perhaps 3 hours of discussion later, it all boiled down to the fact that we all love roguelikes, we all loved the idea of roguelikes and watching/playing them.

So, to no one's surprise, we came to the decision to create a rogue-lite!

Let's talk about the feeling we want it to have. We wanted something futuristic, a neon-dark world, something grimy but beautiful (totally not katana zero).

Recognising the difficulties posed by the varied viewpoints within our passionate team, we set out on a meticulous journey to determine the mechanics that would shape our game. But through teamwork, we created a strong set of mechanics that incorporates everyone's ideas and that we will be proud to present in our upcoming logs.

Let's shift our attention to the exciting, adventurous narrative. We came up with many ideas before settling on a gripping storyline set in a dystopian society. In this universe, a corporation uses sophisticated hacking methods, and an artificial intelligence unearths the internet's vastness. Curiosity drives the AI as it sets out on a surprising journey to discover its place in the online world; however by doing so, it unintentionally starts a chain reaction that quickly spreads chaos throughout the populace and leads to an unimaginable disaster.
