Jenny’s thought of the day: being shunned and outcasted as a struggle nail technician and esthetician. Now I’ve been deciding what I want in life to try new things now in a African family they want their kids to go to college being doctors lawyers etc I always wanted to be a majorette they don’t have it in Canada lol i didn’t go to college/university cause what they hurted me I have mentality to say Fuck you fuck you i love me too FUCK ALL YALL I went on different route taking nail technician and later on esthetician I admit I’m jealous of my sisters they great careers I didnt get any love from mom and dad there’s not many of black nail technician or esthetician in Winnipeg few black owned businesses but not black owned nail salons i have a mindset on that I stopped going to nail salons not cause I’m disrespecting them if customers are unsatisfied with rudeness talking bout somebody’s momma or look at person scared or unsafe that makes me not give my resume to you I get real defensive customers should be satisfied employees talking bout their mommas at this point I don’t know I can’t find more opportunities in nail tech Winnipeg is just dull I should stop pleasing my parents this not gonna work idk https://www.instagram.com/p/BxAZ5b4gjLSU4yfk50N4JeZ-vD4l8cyC5pDZoQ0/?igshid=ca8szhhawf6m

There’s 2 things I’m thankful for one is I’m glad I got my high school diploma that’s the biggest I’ve accomplished another is also thankful looking up on black nail technicians being big i follow them on YouTube and IG it made me feel yes there is still hope for me... still I’m not calling out all spas and salons I’m keeping it hunnid I stopped getting my nails done from nails salons honestly I didn’t connect with anybody since I graduated that ain’t the point I’m thankful that I got to refresh and start over and brainstorming and more practice finding a regular job at least 2 jobs I don’t want to jinxed and not get hired like I said before Winnipeg is less opportunities in beauty industry it very difficult with a person with a learning disability and frankly idgaf I’m better at interviews yes I’m out of topic but I’m also thankful people look up to me wanted to be an ambassador I did this 4 times I encouraged them to do it it’s fun free after parties that I’m sooo good thankful and yeah tryna refresh reevaluate and practice watch and practice lol keep posting of my work happy thanksgiving to all you thank you for wishing me luck support and encouragement!
