I recently got rdr2 and I love it! (my horse is a bit of an idiot most times and crashes)

but I would like to introduce you to my red dead redemption girlie! (she did originally share the same name as me, but I was thinking about naming her velouria)

If your character had their own Trial of Love where the player was asked questions about them, what would the answers be?

Vera has decided to participate in the trial of love with you. Together, you both close your eyes, and suddenly the scenery around you transforms into something magical. The dryad Zethino lets out a pleased sigh as she carefully studies both you and the devil beside you.

“You can feel the warm aura of love surrounding you” Zethino says, her voice soft yet powerful. “But is that love real? I want to know… what is it that the devil admires the most in a person?”

1. Being able to have the confidence to stand up for themselves (+2 approval)

doing the test before you kill raphael: she agrees quietly, wondering if she has the courage herself to be able to do the same

doing the test after killing raphael and dealing with her mother: "was it really the right thing to do? having confidence?" she murmured

2. Being absolutely cocky (neutral approval) she lets out a stern chuckle

The dryad Zethino hums a gentle and soothing tune, creating a calm atmosphere all around. Vera, with her graceful movements, takes a light step closer to you. “The bees hum as the wind softly whispers. Now imagine... if Vera could be a flower, which one would she choose to become?”

how they got their scars: Leslieya earned most of their scars from various magical accidents while training as a warrior and a mage. Each scar tells a story of a moment when things went wrong during their practice. The largest and most striking scars that run across their right eye and nose,a reminder of a serious mistake involving necromancy. This particular incident left a lasting mark, both physically and emotionally. In addition to this major scar, they have several other noticeable scars above their breasts and scattered all over their arms and legs. These scars are a testament to their adventurous spirit and the risks they took while learning the complexities of magic. Each one represents a lesson learned and a step taken on their journey as a skilled mage.

Vera has one pink eye that is actually a fake eye, but it shines brightly when it's under a certain kind of light. Her other eye is yellow with a black sclera. When you look into her eyes, you can see them glowing softly, especially when she gives you a sharp stare. The contrast between the pink and yellow makes her gaze even more striking and unique, capturing your attention instantly.

Jahen's eyes are a dark silver color ("black 2," in the vanilla CC.) I love them because they're extremely reflective; almost any saturated light source just shines in them. the myrkul fight made them green, avernus made them copper-colored, etc.

She was humming softly to herself, lost in her thoughts when suddenly a voice broke through her peaceful moment. Startled, her body jumped a little, and her ears perked up as she turned to see who had spoken. Standing before her was a stranger—an elf with long flowing light brown hair that seemed to shimmer in the light. Vera's eyes glowed softly, reflecting the magical atmosphere around them. She slowly rose to her feet, and in that moment, she realized she absolutely towered over the elf, who looked a bit nervous.

The lighting in the astral plane sparkled around them, creating a dreamlike setting that felt both strange and familiar. Vera gazed up at the sky, taking in the swirling colors and twinkling stars, before glancing around at her mysterious surroundings. “Eoe, hmm? And no I don’t really know where we are.” she said thoughtfully, trying to make sense of the situation. She noticed that Eoe seemed a little anxious and unsure in her presence. Sensing this, the devil gently folded her large wings behind her, wanting to appear less intimidating.

“I’m Vera” she introduced herself, offering a friendly smile to help ease the tension. She hoped that by sharing her name, it would make Eoe feel a little more comfortable. The strange place around them buzzed with magic and mystery.

As the sky sparkles in the astral plane, shining a beautiful blue light across her face, Vera is sitting comfortably on a pile of soft cushions. She relaxes with her eyes closed, and her wings gently open and flutter around her. For once, the devil has a chance to enjoy some time to herself, even if it’s just in the magical dream world. The jewelry that adorns her horns glimmers in the light, creating a lovely twinkling sound as it lightly jangles. With a deep sigh of contentment, she lets go of her worries, feeling the peace of the moment wash over her. This serene escape allows her to recharge and dream, free from the troubles of her usual life. In this place, she can simply be herself, surrounded by beauty and calm.

She imagines herself back at her home in Baldur's Gate, where she is having a wonderful time at one of her family's grand balls. The music plays softly, and she dances gracefully with others, her beautiful dress flowing around her like a cloud. But ever since she became a devil, she hasn’t really been able to enjoy moments like that again. It feels like a distant memory, a dream that slipped away. Vera scrunches her face in thought, her mind racing with possibilities. What if she could experience that magic once more, even if it’s just in a dream? The idea brings a flicker of hope to her heart. Maybe, just maybe, she could find a way to reclaim those joyful moments, to feel the happiness of dancing and laughing again. The thought brightens her spirits, making her wonder if dreams could help her escape from her dark reality.

the quest description reads: you found a devil on the side of the road, she seems suspicious but trustworthy enough. her eyes glow as they glare at you, is there still a person beneath that facade?

◈ ━━━━━━ ⸙ ━━━━━━ ◈

• where you'll find her and how to get vera to join your team --

You'll find her near the emerald grove, with a spell concealing her to look like a regular tiefling. She will be surrounded by a couple of goblins who claim their leaders need her. You can pass a persuasion, intimidation check, or a deception check to convince them to go away. Vera will thank you and she'll introduce herself, giving you a smile. Something is off (my clothes ..I MEAN), like she isn't who she seems....

Once you encounter Raphael, who is trying to persuade you into considering a deal with him, he'll soon give away Vera's secret, *gasps* she's actually a devil! It'll be up to you to choose if you should continue to trust her or not.

• tiefling party -- If you end up on Vera's good side, she'll ask if you would like to spend some time alone with her once everyone's asleep. If you accept, you'll enjoy a very interesting swimming date with her and a little moment afterwards (similar to shadowheart's act 3 scene)

• dialogues --

low approval:

"hmm... it's you again. what is it you need?"

"perhaps you should move a bit farther. you're in my space, love"

neutral approval:

"greetings, do you need help with something?"

high approval:

"it is a pleasure to see you again! what do you require ,my friend?"

• how to accomplish her quest--

good playthrough: If you manage to persuade Vera with good choices, her main quest line will end with her getting payback for her mother backstabbing her or killing Raphael in the house of hope, depending on your choices. She'll look at you, covered in blood, sweat, and tears "did I do a good thing?" she asks quietly looking down at the mangled corpse in front of her "is this really the end?"

evil playthrough: If you manage to persuade Vera with evil choices and convince her to go back to working with Raphael, her main quest line will end with her taking the Crown of Karsus and ascending their powers to rule the nine hells.

If you don't convince her to go back to work with Raphael, her main quest line will end with you killing her after dominating the brain.

(she dies in different ways, some physically and some mentally)
