your art is so good. this is so tasty that after a minute of scrolling I remembered I own a sketchbook and ran to draw. I cannot underestimate how your use of colour and underpaintings and Shapes is not only extremely pleasing to look at but also Ginormously Inspiring

funnily enough, i used to absolutely hate painting/using color. i’m not sure when the switch happened, but it does make me happy that people enjoy it haha

items from a forgotten cowboy

Where do u get your references photos from? It’s the part of the art process I find the hardest, especially for the specific clothing and poses that come with cowboys

i compile my references from both pinterest and google! searches like “historical cowboy” or “cowboy fashion” is a good start. here’s a good website that lists different kinds of western attire to start you off

and as always taking pictures of yourself or of family/friends is always good if you’re stuck on poses!
