Okay but HtR 1e is my preferred edition of hunter the reckoning and I was super pissed off with some of the changes of the second edition/“H5”.

For example it felt like it used some of the terms from 1e super disrespectfully and the edges aren’t even really edges in the same way. They’re not these mysterious powers, they’re just normal shit. And how the fuck can a human train an animal out of being effected by animalism of a vampire??? That’s totally bullshit.

I really loved V5 up until the V5 companion and I’m super disappointed by the direction of WoD 5th edition.

I’ve moved from WoD 5 to WoD20th after my disappointment with the system and disregard/retconning of the lore.

You were an ordinary person, a school teacher, a lawyer, a mechanic. An everyday joe until one faithful day you heard a voice in your head, your voice. What do you think of the new worlds of darkness splats?

So by “New Worlds of Darkness Splats” I’m assuming you’re talking about Chronicles of Darkness.

Requiem: Okay so I love Masquerade and VtR just doesn’t give me the same good vibe as Masquerade does.

Forsaken: I’m not a massive fan of the spiritual boarder patrol aspect of it, but it’s fine from what I recall.

Mage the Awakening: I like some of the mechanical changes and finally seperating fate and entropy to give us 10 spheres.

Promethean: I love this game! One of my favorite Chronicles games! Trans vibes the ttrpg.

Vigil: Okay so I’ve not read vigil, but I love reckoning so I’m biased against it especially after Reckoning “5th edition” that just failed in what HtR is really about. I’m an Imbued enjoyer.

Geist: Honestly haven’t read it so cannot comment.

Mummy the Curse: Same as Geist. Cannot comment.

Demon the Descent: I think the setting is really interesting

Changeling the Lost: I love this game. I jokingly call it PTSD simulator, but it’s much more than that. I love the aspect of how the True Fae act in it.

Let’s fucking go! I just completed my collected of Classic WoD corebooks (20th for those that have it and Revised for those that don’t).

Honestly the only downside to this collection was that it was completed out of birthday money due to fears of tariffs/the economy getting worse.
