nbc hannibal is a romcom purely because the central conflict results from hannibal not understanding his feelings for will and being a total loser about it because he’s never had a friend or been in love before which makes him act so silly and do the most insane things that will interprets being framed for murder as hannibal having something against him (as anyone would), and this series of misunderstandings is not resolved until hannibal’s ex girlfriend and former psychiatrist tells will that hannibal is so in love with him it makes him look stupid. after that will does not hesitate to break hannibal out of jail and douse himself in blood which is this show’s equivalent to the protagonist running to the airport to stop their love interest from leaving the country and marrying someone else before they’ve had the chance to confess that they’ve loved them ever since they’ve known them

Okay real talk.

We all hate what happened. It was horrible and we all love him. But let's talk about it from a story writing standpoint.

Tech from the beginning of this season has been trying to show his love for his family in the ways he knows how. In Ruins of War, he showed it by perservering to help Omega and Echo even through a painful injury, which is very in character. In Faster, he showed his loyalty to not only his family but Cid by competing in the race. In Truth and Consequences, he helped find the information to help ALL his brothers. The Crossing showed him jumping without hesitation the moment he saw Omega in danger. And then he told Omega "I may not process moments and thoughts the saw way, but it isn't mean I feel any less than you do." Also he was the first person to say hey needed to go save Crosshair.

All of these inherently small moments show how much Tech loves his brothers and sister and his care for them. Tech's love language is sacrifice.

He sacrificed his safety multiple times to help and show his family he cares, he sacrifices things he wants to do to make his brothers and Omega happy.

He sacrificed his life to show his family he loves them.

Tech's character arc this season shows that even though he isn't affectionate, he loves his family so much.

just wanted to say that könig likes to hold hands by linking your pinkies together. he's more or less afraid he'll squeeze your hand too tightly bc of how he completely dwarfs your hand compared to his and he's also shy to display this sort of affection (he's getting used to it)

so he and you agreed on linking pinkies so that way he can touch you in some sort of way and you ease his conscience with this too. nobody really says anything about this, but you do get cheeky stares and smiles from soap and ghost. (they're supportive ofc,)

you don't need to have been abused to be a traumagenic system

look, I know when people say "traumagenic" they usually - not always - basically mean repeated abuse before the age of ~12 (or ~9, depending on who you ask).

but that's not the only way for a system to be traumagenic. and also remember, traumagenic =/= DID/OSDD/UDD. we personally are a traumagenic system without a dissociative disorder (and we never had one).

you know, growing up poor can be traumatic enough to cause you to form a traumagenic system. depression can be traumatic. any mental illness, disorder or disability can be inherently traumatic and cause you to form a system.

there are so many reasons why you can identify as a traumagenic system. of course it can be abuse, but also a million other things. you don't have to fit into any boxes, if trauma caused your system, you can call yourself traumagenic.

your trauma counts, doesn't matter how it looked like or when it took place. doesn't matter if you have a dissociative disorder. doesn't even matter if your trauma only indirectly caused your system, however that might exactly look like in your case.

there are others like you, so don't shy away from using the terms you want to use!

i think it's pretty well known that imposter syndrome is something a lot of ppl w chronic illness struggle with, and it REALLY hits when u have a good day for once. like i'll wake up actually feeling well-rested and not in complete pain and be like "ah i see, i just had to wait to get better, I'm Cured now, i could go get a job and be a productive member of society" *

* "productive member of society" is an inherently flawed/ableist concept but the imposter syndrome doesn't know that

i wanted to know whether that actually can happen? and if there are other romanceable characters that react negatively to seeing you wear someone else's pin? i'm imagining Hassian wouldn't be too happy to see you wearing Tamala's pin.

What don't I want to see more in Kobylu fanfics is the real question!

I think one fic I'd really want is an actual exploration of what it would be like for them to genuinely have romantic feelings in canon, because that would scratch my brain SO HARD?? Like I see future fics all the time where Luffy is Pirate King and Koby is Fleet Admiral and their just together no shits given, which is amazing and perfect mind you!! Keep doing that!!

But I want to see the strife and struggle that lead to that outcome. How in the world could two Captains on opposite sides genuinely foster a loving bond with the law against them? I fear I may have to write this out fellas...

It's just so interesting!! I love forbidden lovers!! Can we please put more emphasis on the forbidden part!! As much as I love silly wack shenanigans of everyone turning a blind eye, I want smth serious now, I'm rattling the bars of my enclosure.

Other than that, I think the world needs more domestic modern fics only to get stupid with them, the pastabilities are so endless with that trope it's fun
