A runaway Delphi researcher who loves making GUILT! I don't care about killing people, I just do it out of love for the craft. and to watch those surgeons struggle :)Unfortunately, with Caduceus out of business, I've been forced to make my own hospital for doctors to fight my GUILTs. My own Trauma Center, if you will.

(Sorry if this us doubled, chatcha bugged out and idk if my message went through) I found your page searching about TC fan games wanting to make my own too. Looks great! But aren't you worried about nintendo coming after you for using their assets?
Atlus made Trauma Center not Nintendo lol
But to be serious, no major company is going to care about some tiny unpopular free fan game. If I get back to this project and manage to get it popular enough for Atlus to even notice it, that'll be a dream come true
#asks#also the last TC game was released 15 years ago#i doubt anyone at atlus cares about the assets of a dead series#and again it's free. that's what makes me 100% sure they're not going to bother

Also implement Triti pls, for me 🥺
I have in fact thought a lot about implementing Triti multiple times, and it's doable! Consider it on the wishlist

Since you've said you like making Foundations for Stuff and then never making Stuff: have you considered about pairing up with a writer? Someone to make stories and give you ideas for things to implement according to the needs of a story?
Ideas aren't the problem, I have plenty of ideas, and even if I didn't there's an entire series worth of ideas for me to steal. The problem is that the foundation is the most satisfying part, and once that's done, most of my motivation is gone.
#asks#also it's kinda funny to suggest pairing up with a writer when i'm already a writer#granted video game writing isn't where my writing interests lie but still

You good? You haven't posted in awhile
I got sucked into other hobbies, kinda forgot about this project lol. I'll see about making that plushie level I had planned once I've beaten Tales of Berseria
#asks#another reason i kinda stopped were that i finished all the major features so i'm mostly satisfied#i do this thing sometimes where i'll make all the foundations of something and then not actually make any content#writing rules for card games and then barely making any cards#writing a story setting and then writing like. 1-2 stories in it before abandoning it#it's an unfortunate habit of mine

Where did the idea for an exorcism come from?
I had commissioned the imp artwork for use as a profile pic on a different account, and I had the though "hey, I could put this in my game!" So I did that, and also commissioned the 2nd sprite. I like imps!
#asks#not really any reason besides “i like imps” lol#in fact part of the reason i've been quiet on this blog is because i've been busy writing stories about imps#after i decided “i want to put imps in trauma center” having it be a demonic possession/exorcism situation just seemed natural#the demonic possession is demons literally physically inside your body and the exorcism is surgically removing them lol

Absolutely the funniest part of Trauma Center is when Ange berates Derek's bedside manner only to, a few chapters later, tell a suicidal patient that if she's in such a hurry to die, she better go ahead and do it already.
The most insane moment of writing in the game! Why did she say that!

Just beat X-6 Sige! It throws so much Stuff at you, and one missed hemorrhage is death, but I learned the rules, figured out a strategy, and got good at blindly treating wounds! Hardly an honorable win, I stalled and stabilized to full in the first 3 rounds and then used healing touch to cheese the last 3, but a win's a win!
#original#misc#trauma center#bythos was also super tough but it was simple. just a matter of mastering the execution and hoping it doesn't make hemorrhages#bythos has like 3 mechanics total. lacerations hemorrhages and core extraction#meanwhile sige 1: hides 2: hemorrhages 3: gas 4: gas hole 5: pus 6: gel+scalpel to attack#oh and also clones but those don't matter lol#hemorrhages are the most dangerous wound in the whole game so my strategy revolved around preventing them#when sige hides find it and unearth it IMMEDIATELY. top priority. nothing else matters#if you find a hemorrhage then unearth sige first then treat the hemorrhage while blowing away the gas#it's fine you already know where it is#and if you didn't find a hemorrhage: ultrasound sige's path. if it made one and you missed it you will die so double-check#AFTER unearthing sige. of course#anyway during the surface phase it's just a panicked rush of treating all the wounds to stop the vitals drain#then once that's all done i stabilize to full because sige isn't really a threat when it's not making hemorrhages#pus is super easy to deal with#i get into a nice rhythm: inject inject drain. inject inject drain. or sometimes inject gel drain#gelling sige/clones stops them from dealing damage for a sec and is quick so i gel if i don't have time for another injection#sige has minimal downtime so healing touch is super effective. it can pretty much skip 2-3 phases#which is very good news because the last phase has 4 clones which is a lot of damage. probably. idk i cheesed that phase#the last challenge left is x-7 aletheia. then i'll have beaten every operation in the 3 trauma center games i own#wish me luck

Light Yagami writes "Triti" in the death note. One triangle dies. Three of them appear on Light's liver.

#misc#idk if it could catch kira#but it is 100% surviving#there's one thing triti is good at and that's Refusing To Die When It Is Killed

Just discovered trauma center, was sad that the series seemed to be dead, but excited when I saw you were making a new game!
Will it also include the story?
Hi, thanks for the ask! I'm currently just adding Stuff without much of a plan lol. I've been thinking about making a story now that I've added most of the main features, but it's never really been a priority; I'm all about the gameplay.
That said, I've had some ideas. A rogue Delphi researcher who develops GUILTs out of love for the craft, and enjoys watching surgeons fight against their creations. Maybe some stuff with my repentant GUILT, if I manage to implement some of those. Nothing that would connect to the games' stories. idk, like I said this project is motivated by the gameplay. If I come up with a plot I like then that'll be cool, but I'll be happy just to make a bunch of levels
#original#trauma center recreation#asks#i do like writing stories but i just haven't spent much time thinking about making a story for this#once the only thing left to do is make levels a story will be a great way to generate ideas for levels#of course the story would also need to include all the levels that i want to make in general#i might be on the wrong website. all the posts in the trauma center tag are about the characters#meanwhile i'm over here like “what if there was a guilt that was a rhythm game?” lol

Showing off a bunch of new small stuff at once. The level select screen now has music and little descriptions for each operation, as well as operation-specific buttons for choosing which medicine to use. The results screen was a last-minute addition to the Imp Update, but I haven't shown it here yet so I'm doing that. And most importantly, your fastest time and your best score are now saved! Not a proper score/rank system yet, just counts your misses and cools, but the save file system is in place!
#original#trauma center recreation#just noticed i messed up the background of the level select screen at some point#somehow didn't notice that while playing#rest assured that error will not be in the next update#don't know if the save file system works in the browser version#in my local testing the browser version's saving works but idk what'll happen when it's on itch.io#good thing save data isn't critical to this game yet#and there's always the downloadable versions
