Webhooks and Telegram now supported in PushNotifier
You can now send to even more devices – specifically Telegram and Webhooks. This is a great way to enhance PushNotifier even more, especially for people who don’t want to use their phones to receive messages.
Telegram: Just add a device, select Telegram and click on “Start Telegram Bot”. You can also add it manually to group chats by first inviting the bot to your group and then pasting a special command you can retrieve by clicking “Add to group chat”.
Webhook: Just add a device, select Webhook and enter the URL each notifications should be sent to when sent to this device. Read the documentation below carefully to make sure, your Webhook correctly parses any incoming notification.
We hope these are great useful additions for your notification workflow. Stay tuned – more important updates are coming soon.

A completely new PushNotifier
Tumblr media
After almost 5 years of service, it was time to rethink what PushNotifier is and how it should work. And that is what this new version is thought to be.
A completely new design with a completely new backend ensures that PushNotifier can run securely (i.e. SSL is now enforced everywhere) and more efficiently for the next 5 years. And we didn’t just rewrite PushNotifier entirely. We’re also adding new features to it.
Soon you’ll be able to receive messages via Telegram and send images and other files to your devices. This will make PushNotifier even more versatile. And there are even more features to come.
For you developers out there we also have a completely new API. Get started at https://api.pushnotifier.de/v2/doc The old API will continue working for a while but won’t accept any new applications.
Give it a visit – https://pushnotifier.de

Huge PushNotifier Update incoming
Today from 23:00-3:00 (CET) we’ll be launching a big update to PushNotifier. Due to the nature of the update, you won’t be able to send or receive notifications during that timeframe.
We apologize for any inconveniences this might cause and are eager to await your responses tomorrow.

Exciting changes to GIDIX
Since it came to life in 2010, GIDIX has been the central point of all the services it offers. PushNotifier, Skedule, Codeante and GIDIX itself are all part of the GIDIX family. Originally though GIDIX was only a rival of IT-Talent, the German counterpart of the GIDIX network.
Since our platforms became more alike every new feature we decided, it is time to move on. Why developing the same features twice when you can instead put all your energy into developing the feature once and focus on making ot a really good feature? Therefore, a few changes are coming to the GIDIX family:
GIDIX as a network will be shut down. It makes more sense to continue with IT-Talent since that is where GIDIX originally came from. But because GIDIX was the central point, this change also affects PushNotifier and Skedule. PushNotifier will be moved into its own product. Anybody who’s been using PushNotifier will be transferred automatically and can continue using PushNotifier just like before. Nothing changes for users, not even developers. The API will stay the same, only the control panel will move to PushNotifier.
Skedule will be closed as well. It originated in a time where there simply were no good timetable applications for Android that also offered synchronization features. Now that there’s a plethora of such apps available that even offer cross-platform functionality, we decided to close it down to put all of our effort into the other services. The cloud service will be shut down together with GIDIX in the coming weeks.
Codeante will stay as it is. No changes here.
GIDIX moves on from a rivaling platform with duplicate features to a lab of ideas, great services and smooth experiences. IT-Talent will join GIDIX and profit from all the new technologies and energy to make it the best and the worthiest to stay with. These changes will happen in the coming weeks.
It was a great time with the GIDIX platform but as Bob Dylan once said, times are a changing.

Mix and match plans in Codeante
The final version of Codeante is in the works and while many of the new features and touches are still secret, the new pricing model will make its way to the public. Here’s what’s changing:
Instead of having plans per account, accounts in the final version (v1 from now on) will be per X projects. You can mix and match plans for different projects however you like. This also means that free accounts will now have unlimited projects. The 3 main plans, Personal, Pro and Enterprise will be the same, however they include slots for your projects. Don’t want to give Project A the same features as Project B or simply don’t need the extra features in Project C while you die without them in Project D? The new system makes that possible.
Additionally, a free trial of the Pro plan is now included for every new member. There is no credit card or any other payment method required unless you choose to extend the trial to a full plan (you can choose any of them).
For the current beta testers there is something extra in the package: You will get double the attachment sizes, access to ALL features and a little extra (to be uncovered at launch) for the same $4.29 a month. If you want to get this plan, apply for an invite now. The chance to get one of these will end 2 weeks after the launch of v1.
All prices are similar to the current prices and include the same or more features so you won’t lose anything.

Codeante: Public Bugreports made better
Today Public Bugreports made their next step to a better tool for both developers and users. Now users who reported bugs to projects are able to view all their reported bugs to all projects and view comments. This makes it easy for developers to explain a certain bug or explain why something isn't a bug.
Tumblr media
Additionally if a user reports a bug using his/her Codeante account the user will now stay logged in without the need to enter the credentials again in the next bug report.
You can view all your bug reports at http://bugreport.codeante.com/.

PushNotifier, API & SDK updated
Today, PushNotifier got an update on Google Play, its API and its SDK. This new update allows developers to push a new type of notifications: HIDDENURL.
What is that?
"Normal" notifications are either a message or an URL. This is far from useful when sending notifications that need an URL. HIDDENURL makes it possible to do that.
When you specify "HIDDENURL" as type and an URL as "hiddenURL" you can now send URLs beside notifications. These will display just like GIDIX notifications.
You can grab the SDK from pushnotifier.de/sdk.
Please keep in mind that the process of sending messages through the SDK has changed. Read the corresponding README-file for your language.
The changes are also live at a.gidix.de/v1/pushnotifier/.

A new era of GIDIX.
Tumblr media
As you may have seen in our last GX.one (if you are German) we are revamping GIDIX completely. This means new philosophies, new concepts and a new roadmap for the future.
The brand 'GIDIX'
GIDIX is evolving. What once began as gidix.de will be going on as GIDIX. With a slightly modified name comes a new logo as well. It represents what GIDIX is about while retaining the old symbolism, a blue triangle.
Tumblr media
The name, GIDIX, is now finally part of the logo but can be hidden when needed. The triangle alone is gone and is replaced with a box full of surprises and great products.
The old blue, #17a7df, will be replaced with '#1177aa' to be cleaner and more calm. All in all this is a complete rebranding without a name-change.
The new design
The old design represents the old gidix.de. A new design will represent GIDIX. Every single point about the old design was being worked on and refined, renewed or changed. With the new design come along a set of new features as well:
Conversations are now accessible from every mail. The old overview of all conversations is gone.
freifunk can now handle multi-line entries.
Snips have a new highlighting theme.
Shop is completely new but keeps the design of the old uploader. The new shop now has larger previews and new categories, such as 'Digital Art', 'Goods' and 'Scripts'.
Users can now display what skills they have or what programming languages they do.
Refined control over what push messages you want to receive (via PushNotifier).
Everything is a bit faster due to internal structure changes.
Full english translation for Home, Gallery, Snips, Shop, Gifts, PushNotifier and Settings (freifunk following soon).
Automatic notification for new app updates from GIDIX (only Skedule for the time being).
All in all GIDIX v7, as it is called, is a great new iteration of GIDIX. You will see more of GIDIX in the near future with a full release expected for January, 2014.
