What would your Boss!Venti's phrases/dialouge be? (Those stuff bosses say at the start of a battle,end and start of a phase,when they kill one of the characters in your team,and after being defeated etc etc..)

Or what would the travelers and Venti's first interaction right after the battle or would Venti just lije-yk-die?

Heyo Gierosajie!Sorry if this ask is sudden but

Could I take your ideas about what Boss!Venti's phrases would be?Like something at the start of the battle,end and start of a phase,end of boss after getting defeated,after killing one of the characters in your team etc etc...

I'd just really like to hear your ideas on this since your concept arts and ideas as always,are delicious-especially whenever the topic is Venti! :D

Okay, so! I'm gonna be honest with you, I only have the defeat voiceline since with the context of the boss fight, we're up against more of a force of nature than Venti himself

That said, he does grunt and laugh at times (think something like CN Jingliu during her skill or CN Senti in one of her atk chains/charged atk) like when he retreats before turning his wings into blades or the crashing atk where he tears down a wind barrier to crush you

During the in-between phase, where it's kinda like the Apep's Oasis boss fight except you have to attack some of the crystallized corruption, some disjointed whispers can be heard in the background in Venti's voice. Some of what they say say are

"get away"

"gaze upwards"

"Leave [me alo]ne"

or cryptic things like

"the stars w[on't an]swer you."

"it will end like always"

As for the defeat voicelines, there's "I'm alright...ugh..." and "Sorry..." but if the Traveller is in the party, a special voiceline is triggered where Venti goes "It's...good to see you again, Traveller"

Venti gets knocked back to his senses basically, haha- I'm kinda imagining a post-battle scenario where it's like the damsel in distress is saved and wakes up from the Horrible Curse, except both parties tried to throw hands

This boss concept has been around for so long, Genshin already has them. Like a central Thing is that you fight Venti to help purify some sort of corruption (similar to the Chasm filth) he got just like what we do for Apep

Still trying to think of voicelines for the alternate boss!Venti concept I have where he's the second-to-last boss aside from the "Your journey is yet to reach the end" as a defeat voiceline

Boss Venti phase 1 ref

Eye of the Storm Illustration

So I decided to update the concept design for this and made it a bit more cohesive. The idea was to have some sort of restrictive elements be more visible to contrast the more chaotic concept of the boss fight

I also tried showing more visible consequences on his body with how his form itself gets slowly stripped along with the corruption and would get worse on the 2nd phase of the fight where he'd be at his most vulnerable. The idea was kinda inspired by what happens to Kiana while trying to shut off a bomb during the animated short Meteoric Salvation in HI3

The two "shells" surrounding him were also softened a bit and made to look like they'd fit together now and matches the overall color palette. Tried to make them look more like hands that would be able to hide him

You can see that I also added the long strip of cloth he has in a couple versions of his archon outfit. I took the idea from an OC of mine designed after typhoons where the trailing end resembles a small cyclone and also just wanted to incorporate some parts of the scrapped Ideas from the old design

And finally, I've changed the top to have the Anemo symbol and made it look like it's grabbing his chest and the smaller one on the collar look like a hand wrapped around his throat. I wanted something in the design to connect with the boss fight's concept where his own element ends up harming him as it tries to get rid of the taint he got. Kinda like how someone's immune system ends up working to their detriment while trying to get rid of something

Anyway, all the gods are unable to do anything with their divine presence like, they CAN still manifest and be seen and interact, but their mere presence is quite frankly terrifying. Kinda like biblical angels and stuff

Like, Venti doesn't wanna scare people, or even directly let them know he's there since he wants to keep his promise of distance from their affairs. The way the whole vessels thing works is that a god could manifest in a mortal's body. It's a lot like what Nahida does with projecting her consciousness, except they don't exchange bodies and the owner is still aware (tho the mortal can still lose consciousness sometimes while the god is the one taking the wheel). Most of the time the god is another presence in their head and they can freely switch between each other

Nameless Bard being in the au is a mystery that will never get addressed though

Faruzan couldn't remember much of her time being trapped. And when she did, all it had were impressions and blurred memories.

Now when she woke up in the middle of the night, the oppressive feeling of the room loomed over her. Trapped, alone. It was quiet. All too quiet with only her breathing made known.

Out. She had to get out.

Out out out OUT.

Shaking hands took knobs and tore open the door. And then another door.

She can't stay here.

She has to-

Breathe.

The dark early morning air rushed through her face and into her lungs as she slammed open the door. The sound echoed through the empty street.

Faruzan sat on the stairs. She had just recently been cleared by the Bimarstan after so long. It wasn't as bad as when she first got back, on that first night in a closed room. They had to move her to the open air wing after that.

“I thought that I was getting better.”

And she had gotten better. She knows that. But the bare room, empty of any personal artifacts, from traces of her cousins, and nieces and nephews, the familiarity of her family home, to the missing rustle and life of her old lodgings long given to another generation– it made her feel all the more alone.
