"Ain't that the truth," she gives a small laugh, "You can't really just tell them how to act, but if that's what you want you are entitled to look for one that has that personality, right?"
"Yes it is a farmful," Claire begins to smile widely, "I'm always busy, but in a good way you know, between the crops and the animals I care for them bot the best I can. It's always worth it in the end, you know?" She looked down at the dog and patted Rust on the head, "I'm surprised I even got out today, it's like a little treat for me and him."
“That’s exactly what it is,” Claire said with a slight nod to her head, “Lazy cats are nice, but so are playful kittens. Are you considering a indoor cat or outdoor cat by the way? Sometimes that makes all the difference.” She thought for a second, she did have a few, “Well…like I have told you a dog and a cat. Along with that I have cows, sheep, a horse…and some chickens. That’s really about it.”

That's really about it."
"You can see how appreciative the plants are for your care, the way they brighten up and stand tall… but they don’t offer a sense of companionship. And seeing as how I usually stick close to home, I think a lazy cat may be perfect!” She raises her brows in curiosity as she looks to Claire, “So what kinds of animals do you have on your farm?”

"Well you can't really tell for sure, since you know they tell us through words, but I would like to think of their actions saying so." Claire smiled back at her and looked at the dog, "I can't say I blame you. I don't know where I would be without my dog. A cat is nice! They can be cold some of the time, my cat Midnight is occasionally, but really once you gain their trust, they love you for live." She sighed, "Such great pets..."
“I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to care for animals. They seem to have an unconditional love for their caretakers.” She pats Rust on the head, “Being alone is a terrible thing, I’ve given some serious thought to acquiring a furry friend for myself.” She begins to walk down the path, “I thought maybe a cat would do,” she says with a smile.

"Ah, yeah it is mighty fine work and such an accomplishment to prepare n' harvest the crops, isn't it? Livestock Animals are fine and dandy most of the time, but it's alot of extra work to be done on the farm. I don't get me wrong I love mine, but it is."
Claire smiled back, she looked at Celia for a second then began to walk a bit forward down the pathway, "Yes I do say it is, it's horrible to be alone. Especially for long periods of times, but I guess that's why we have pets and friends for kinda like what you said."
She noticed Claire’s enthusiasm at the mention of her farm, “Yes, Ma’am! Though, I don’t raise any animals, it’s all crops - but it’s just as rewarding!”
Claire seemed a bit uneasy after Celia’s suggestion of the walk, but since she accepted, Celia decided to disregard it, “I find it’s always more fun exploring with company… being human or furry.” She smiled down at Rust, who seemed to have calmed down almost completely.

Though she has just began to actually sit down, she sprang up willingly, "Oh, well hopefully you will get the chance to as time goes on, you know?" Claire's face began to bright up a bit as she heard the word farm, "Oh you work on a farm? How weird, I work on one as well!"
Claire didn't even to look around the reply to the next sentence, "Ah, I completely agree. I wish I had come her sooner and more often then I do the scenery is extremely pleasant her!" To the next part she paused for a second, she was anticipating going on this walk alone without a stranger, but she seemed to be good company, so after a seconds thought she chimed in with a "Sure~!"
“I see,” She stands up, still patting the top of the dog’s head, “I was just on a walk myself. Since I’ve moved here, I haven’t gotten out very much; sticking close to my farm,” She points over to Vesta’s farm by the path from which Claire and Rust had came. “Forget-Me-Not can be quite enchanting~ the land here is beautiful. Would you like to continue our walks together?” She gestures to the path ahead of them.

"Oh there wasn't really much of a reason, I do believe," Claire's legs grow a bit tired so instead of sitting on her feet she began sit on the ground, "Not much at all. You see, we live at the next town over," she pointed down the direction of the path they had toke, "So I decided to let Rust here take a walk to check out this place." She looked back at the dog, who seemed to be peaceful with the new friend, "Even though I lived there for quite a while I never been over here much, not sure why it seems like a great place."
Still petting the dog, Celia looks to Claire, “It’s nice to meet you too, my dear.” She gives her a friendly smile. The dog begins to calm somewhat, making petting it easier. “So what brings you and your trusty friend to Forget-Me-Not?”

Laughing small bit, Claire replied with a "I guess you can say that!" The woman looked like she was enjoying herself and she could defiantly tell that Rust was having a good time as well. She smiled a bit as she watch the woman pet her dog, it gave her sort of a warm feeling to see them both so happy. Zoning back with the sound of the girls voice, she blinked two times in surprise, "Nice to meet you Celia, I'm Claire," she paused for a second, and continued to reply "Oh no, no. It's okay, I didn't introduce myself either so I'm just as much at fault as you are." Claire let out a chuckle.
“What a playful pup!” Celia laughed at the energetic dog as she knelt down and attempted to pet it. The dog seemed very excited to meet someone new, and Celia was delighted at its playfulness. Though she loves animals, she’s never had much time to play with them. Caught up in petting the dog, she realized that she had forgotten to introduce herself. “Oh, I’m Celia!” She smiled to the woman, “Sorry for not introducing myself before.”

There was no point in really turning back now, Rust was already very enthusiastic about meeting the other girl. Even if she did have the heart to say no, Claire didn't think the dog would let her say it. A bit out of breath from holding the dog back, Claire gave her a nod. Though she struggled to keep Rust in line, her attempt to shake the woman's hand turned out somewhat successful.
After shaking their hand, she kneeled down next to the dog. "Behave" Claire whispered to him, she didn't want Rust to pounce on the woman, even if the girl wanted to pet him. Claire didn't know how well that would work with how excited the dog seemed to be, but all she could do anyways is try.
She continues on her walk, gazing at the surrounding beauty of the nature. Suddenly she hears the barks of a dog, which startles her. “Oh my,” she turns around to see a woman struggling with her dog, who seems to be trying to get to Celia.
For a moment she doesn’t know what to do. Should I stay here and try not to distract her dog while they go on their walk, or should I go over there so that her dog won’t be struggling to get over here? She purses her lips in thought, then decides to head over there. “Hello, Miss! May I pet your dog?” She extends her hand to the woman.

After an amount of time, Claire came to realize that she hasn't taken her dog on a actual walk in quite a while. Usually she would let him run around the farm, but that was about all the dog really did other then eat and sleep.
Of course she wanted the dog to be healthy, just being around the farm wasn't that great of an exercise for him, she supposed. So with a whistle, Claire called over Rust and leashed him up.
She walked around the town for a bit, though it was just a quick walk. Claire rolled up her sleeve and saw how much time has passed, she saw that she had quite a bit more of daylight time, which was good because she did all of her farm chores. Seeing that, she decided she might as well walk some more on the walk. Prior to usual she decided to try going out side of the town to get a new dose of scenery for the walk.
Upon approaching the next time over, Claire felt a tug at her hand. Looking down, she saw it was her dog that was trying to pull her along. She looked back up and saw a girl crossing their path. Figures, Rust always got excited around people. Claire tried pulling back at the leash, but the harder she pulled back the harder the dog pulled forward. Eventually, the dog pulled so far that the leash slipped out of her hands and Rust immediately fleed from her.
Out for A Walk
Still on the mend from her cold, Celia decides to take a walk. She has been cooped up for quite a while, hiding from the chilly weather, but she figured that was no reason to be anti-social.
On her walk, she stops occasionally to admire the plants and animals on the farms she passes by, petting some of the animals that come close enough to greet her.

A smile came across my face, he seemed like a nice enough fellow. I toke his hand and gave it a firm shake. His hands were a little..wet. Wiping my hand after words casually over on my overalls, I reminded myself not to be rude and point it out. Even when he wiped of his face, it was probably from working hard on the farm that day, I knew it because it happens to me too, some of the time that is.
"And I'm Claire, and as you can probably tell by now, I'm a farmer too owning this farm" I replied with a smile, "Oh no, no," waving my hands before my face, "I heard about another farmer in this town and didn't have the time to look and come over, I'm as much as fault as you are."
I was tense. Why was I tense? I wasn’t even sure. But hearing someone call out to me made me jump straight up into the air, whipping around to see the girl I assumed to be Claire, across the field. Blinking, I waved, letting a nervous smile come to my face before I moved to walk to her. “Hi- um. There. I’m Pete…” Once I was close enough, I offered her a hand to shake.
“I’m the farmer that doesn’t live too far from here… I should’ve visited a while ago!” Feeling a bit of sweat developing at my brow, I wiped it away with the back of my hand.

I wasn't quite sure why I hadn't visited Miss Claire before. It just seemed I never came at the right time. But now, finally, I was walking to her farm. I wasn't sure how long she'd been here, not like it really mattered. Either way, I brought a basket, with a few apples, hoping to (not awkwardly) offer her some and try to be friends. I was nervous, it was obvious. I walked stiffly as I looked around, trying to see if the girl was inside or outside.
Humming along to a little tune out in the barn, I was finishing up my care for them. Feedin' em, Brushin' them and everything. Today seemed like a good day, if I could say so myself. Soon enough I was done, I gave one last pet to one of my cows, Bessie, with my free hand, then put the brush back in the rucksack. To leave them animals in peace, I walked out the door of the barn and back out into my farm.
Walking back to my house, I saw a figure out in the edge of my farm. Seeing a person, I guess you could say I was a bit surprised to see a fresh face. Other then the people she knew from around town, no one else really came. Its not to say surprised as a bad thing, no I was actually a little happy to meet someone. With a deep breath in I let a loud "Hey There!" across the field as a welcome, hopefully he could hear it from there.

"Hopefully this will taste alright, huh." Claire walks over to the pot putting some ingredients she picked or made on the farm, those including half a dozen of matsutake mushrooms, a batch of carrots and corn, a pumpkin, and some fresh beef cut chopped into reasonable sizes.

tomorrowsinventor:
Indeed. Life I find, is more rewarding if you work for what you get, instead of having everything handed to you like a spoiled child. It’s satisfying when you see something, like a stalk of corn or a crop that will grow, and the realization that it’s something that you’ve made yourself, and then when you sell it or eat it, that it’s something that you’ve worked hard for. It’s incredible. I’ve always found myself admiring people who work on ranches or farms, people who do hard work for what they have.
The feeling you get when you get something done, just feels....good. Others don't know that feeling and they take everything for granted. /sigh/ Thanks, I do work hard and its good to find someone who finally appreciated, all i get no a days is no thanks for anything. Usually I'm okay with that, but you know you need a compliment once in a while to keep yourself going. I really never met another inventor, but /smiles/ i admire you too, you put alot of thought into your work what you may create, then after you put your stuff all together, you bring it to life!

tomorrowsinventor replied to your post:
I agree. There’s nothing wrong with getting a little dirty, working hard for what you get, and your achievements. I mean like, if half of my inventions would have worked instead of failed, I wouldn’t be the same person I am today
Thank you! If you can not work hard for something to achieve, why try to achieve it at all. It does not come by one simple try and no one seems to know that now a days. I worked hard for my position back in the city, i did not quit because i was bored or because it was 'too hard', it just wasn't right. I might get discouraged when some of the time my vegetables get withered, but does that stop me from farming or harvesting at all, no this is were i belong, this made me. Everyone should reach, if they would simply just look more into it.

Hmmm. /smirks/ I think I could find something to remember you by. /giggles and sits on the fence/ Isn't that always the way it is? Our mayor lured new farmers in with this "Exciting ranch plan" and it was just a total crock. Nothing wrong with getting dirty, sometimes the girls that are all like "Oh no I can't do anything for myself or I'll break a nail" are really irritating at some point
/light chuckle/ Seems so, sad isn't it that now a days you have to lie for greed? I know some people, It's fine to be a little prissy and delicate, everyone has a right to be, it's just if that are too overloaded on that sort of stuff, but let me tell ya, people need to learn to toughen up and use some life skills or they aint going no where. There is nothing wrong with getting dirty.
