Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that I’m going to be dropping Dave from the RP. Anna will also be dropping Hunter(its-captain-clarington) and we’ll be moving them to a 1x1. This is because a) both of us will be starting school again soon and won’t have as much time to focus on RPing and we don’t want to hold back the RP because of it, b) we feel that Dave and Hunter’s story here -or what we can tell of it- has sort of come to a happy conclusion and we’d like to have the chance to restart them over, probably in an AU situation.

So in an interest to be fair and give other people who might be more active a shot at the roles, we’ve got to make the difficult decision to let Hunter and Dave go.

Of course, I’ll still be here with Theo and Jeff and helping out with moderating duties.

Just A Note.

Hey guys. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here, but this week and next week are full of finals for me. It's a lot of crap and I'm not going to be around much, so please note Sebastian, Jeremiah, and Molly's absences. I may be on here and there for a break, but not super consistently. 

That being said, Annie is usually around! And I'm pretty sure that everyone checks in as well, so feel free to post starters and reply to them. <3

you've got hunter listed as gay on your masterlist, yet canon depicts him as being "not even remotely bi-curious". have you chosen to re-interpret the quote by meaning "i am 100000% gay" or should you change that to at least bisexual??? (this is coming off really rude i'm sorry)

Basically yes, to the former. Our RP is only canon up until the beginning of season 3, and since we’ve been going almost a year now, it’s very AU at this point. Pretty much “I’m not even remotely bi-curious,” could be taken as anything, even that he is actually bisexual. Technically, in the canon, he says that he’s not curious about it.

Our Hunter says on his profile that he is gay, though.

We had a 'soft-open' on Friday, but I want to make sure that everyone knows we're technically in the Season 4 time-frame now. Keep in mind that not everything that happened in Seasons 3 and 4 has happened, since this is a Redo RP.

His history is something of a bore. Raised by your stereotypical American parents, in your stereotypical American home. You know, the perfect house with the perfect yard with the white picket fence and dog running about. He was raised on a tight daily schedule, mostly his father’s doing. Raised by an Army Captain was testing at best, as his dad expected the best of him while his mother just wanted him to try. His father was often bouncing around from base to base, barely staying in one place long enough for friends. But it didn’t stop Scott from trying just once. His only relief growing up was having a friend in Parker Glenn, the only person who made his boring life interesting. It wasn’t even a planned friendship, but Scott cherished it anyway. Part of him knew it probably wouldn’t last, but he wanted it to. Like he knew, Scott had to move away from Parker and he fell into a bout of depression. His dad easily convinced him into joining sports and going into the JROTC to one day join the army. Without anyone to tell him to be himself, Scott become a puppet. However, his dad’s recent transfer in bases has allowed him to transfer to Dalton Academy. Allowed him to try to be himself for once and not a younger copy of his father. He honestly wasn’t a big fan of ever going home. Some days he just wanted to hole himself up in a classroom, just so he didn’t have to return home for holidays. He wondered if he could get away with just staying there? And yet he still went home for the holidays, just so he could see his sister. On a call home with his mother he had learned that she was having trouble in school and it was actually a little concerning. Amalia had been the better of the two of them when it came to academics. She got the brains while he got the muscle. Any time he tried to talk to her on the phone about their mother’s worries had caused her to hang up on him. It was why Scott had purposely arrived home early. It was just him in the empty house. He knew he could probably be off hanging out with Parker. But this was something he had to do, even if his entire break would be spent with his only sibling mad at him. At least, even then, he’d still have a best friend to talk to. As the front door opened, the teen braced himself to confront his sister. Notes: Fav movie is a three way tie between The Raven, Star Trek, and the Avengers (Well… Any Marvel based movie, to be honest).

We're only a week away from the time skip (and I'm so glad because the lack of RP is driving me nuts)! Any paras/chatzys that would have taken place during the year that we're skipping can be posted after the 30th of this month. Remember that these can also be posted at a later date, so it's not your last chance.

Thank you to everyone who sent in their information for plot. We're going to be updating the Here's What You Missed page over the next week, so be on the lookout for that. If there's anything that you'd like to go on the page that you don't see, please let us know.

If you don't get it to me by midnight EST, then there is nothing to guarantee your character's spot/history in our story before we start to run ads.

In addition, anyone who does not message the main with their player details by the end of the day Wednesday will no longer be a part of the RP without a new application.

Announcements!

Hey guys!

Firstly, I'd like to thank anyone who's still lurking in the shadows of the lack of RP going on around here. We've been going through a lot of behind-the-scenes changes (mixed in with personal things). It might not seem like much, but we're undergoing a big thing at the moment.

What do we mean a thing?

Kelsie and I have swapped roles.. I'll be taking over as your main Admin, and Kelsie will be our co-admin. She'll be largely behind the scenes, like I was prior to now. In addition, Annie will still be here but we're giving her a promotion to co-admin! Yay Annie!! <3

Spring Break will take place March 14th - 23rd. Spring break is a time for partying it up. Let's make it awesome.

Here's the big one. 

GleefulAskRP is going to do a time skip. We're jumping ahead exactly one year in the game. The skip will take place on March 30th. We're asking that any current players please message the main with plot updates as soon as possible. It's totally understandable that things have happened in the year we're skipping, and we're going to be posting an update so that everyone stays in the know about everything.

Any para/chatzy that takes/took place during the year we're skipping can be posted at any time during the first two weeks of April, with the tag #GleefulTimeSkip. If you can't get something together before then, or there isn't enough time in your schedule to play it out right now (we all have midterms and classes and work and things to deal with IRL), we will have special days each month which you can post your past chatzys.

This being said, I would like every character account that wishes to remain active within the RP to send a separate message to the main before Midnight EST, March 17th (That's the end of the day Sunday, not Monday). I'm going to start running ads for canon and OC characters soon after that. I'll also be updating our database of characters with current information so that if anything happens, we can get a hold of you.

Please include in your message your name, time zone, activity level, and method of contact.

Lastly, Kelsie would like to put Charlie on hiatus. It's your choice as to whether or not you unfollow him, and if you choose to do so, there will be an announcement when he's brought back.
