Valid Crash Out. (Inkrio + Tyler)
"Are you sure this was the best place, Mario? I mean, it is kinda...open."
The duo were currently on a date, Mario having picked an Italian restaurant. They had chosen to sit outside, mainly because the stares they were getting was annoying. Mario nods, munching on his spaghetti. "Mario's-a 100% positive. Besides, Mario's-a friends are allergic to grass. We'll-a be alone most of the day." Inksy smiled, not exactly liking his friends. Its not like she had a problem with them, but they did get on her nerves. Mario takes her hand, smiling softly. "Don't-a worry, mi amor. It'll be just us."
And suddenly, it was if he had jinxed their whole date. Bob and Boopkins were walking down the street, and spotted the two. They walked up, striking up a conversation with Mario. At first, Inksy didn't mind, figuring that they would be the only two.
Boy was she wrong.
For some reason, the entire crew showed up, and they pretty much crashed the date, pulling up chairs and sitting with them. None of them really talked to her, despite them being friendly. They distracted Mario, talking to him about anything. He tired, Inksy could tell, to get them to go away, but they just weren't having it. Desperate and annoyed, Inksy pulled out her phone, texting her friend.

Thank Godbox for Tyler, she thought to herself. She watched as Tyler pulled up, anger written all over her small friends face. She smiled, glad to have Tyler on her side. "What the hell, you guys? Can you not see that you're ruining their date? You can talk to Mario some other time." Bob waved her off. "Oh, relax, tiny. They're not even on a real date."
Everyone else saw the girl's faces, and immediately backed up.
Before Tyler could speak, Inksy slammed her hands on the table. "This is my date. My date with Mario. I want to talk with him on my date. So if you guys can get the fuck out and talk to him on your own time, that'd be wonderful." Everyone was taken by suprise, the crew shocked at Inksy's crash out. Tyler just grinned, knowing it was coming. "Well, you heard the lady. Beat it." She shoo'd the crew away, giving the two a small wink before walking off, leaving them alone once again. The two looked at each other again, smiling softly.
"Thank godbox for Tyler, huh?" said Mario, raising his glass of wine towards her. Inksy smiles, having had the same thought earlier. "Yeah." She clicks her glass with him, both of them taking a sip and continuing their date. Inksy apologized for crashing out, to which Mario waved it off. "You-a deserved a crash out, amor." Inlsy laughed, and the two enjoyed the rest of their day together.
No one was going to bother them anymore. Not after Inksy's crash out.

Late Night Talks (Starfruit)
Marek had gone to bed for the day, ready to sleep and reenergize for tomorrow. He laid down, instantly getting comfy, Smokey at curled up at his feet, gazing up at the ceiling, the glow in the dark stars still as bright as the day he got them. Yet, just as his eyelids were fluttering, the sound of his ringtone echoed through the room, waking him from his ascent to slumber. With a small groan, he sat up and reached over to pick up his cell phone. Marek read the contact name curiously. Strange, he thought. Mango doesn't usually call this late. He picked it up, holding the phone close to his ear. He wasn't about to leave his friend in the dark. It wasn't a Marek thing to do.
"Mango?" He asked softly, confused. "Is everything alright?" It was silent on the other line, until Marek heard the disgruntled voice of his friend, sounding tired yet soft at the same time. "Marek? Hey..." he responded, sounding so far away. "Hey," he said back, unsure of what to do. "Are you ok?" he asked, wating a beat for a response. "Yeah, I'm, I'm fine. Just couldn't sleep, I suppose. Sorry, did i wake you?" Marek shook his head,, then realized he couldn't see him. "No, you didn't. I'm always happy to talk. What did you need?
It was rare for Mango to be calling this late, or in general. He wasn't much of a talker, Marek already knew that. So what came next was a suprise to both of them.
"Just...stay on the line. Please."
It wasn't only the words that made Marek's heart flutter, it was the tone in which he said it. He sounded desperate, reaching out for a hand while sinking into a pit. But he didn't want to be pulled out. No, he wanted to postpone the sinking, to have someone hold on for a while longer, before unavoidably falling into it. He could've chosen any hand to pull him out. But he chose Marek's. That meant everything to him, and when he said "Of course I will." Mango could tell. Marek wasn't letting go of him anytime soon.
They continued to talk softly into the night, their words short, but full of meaning. Even through the phone, their connection to each other was strong, and they could both feel it. Mango wasn't going to sink until he wanted to. And Marek was going to hold onto him for as long as he could.
And it was late night talks like this that made them realized that.
gotta add @its-a-me-mango bc he too, is in this

Im gonna write this as understanding as possible
I want an inkrio oneshot but it starts with mario kinda. After like a few months he's been together with inksy, mario and inksy decided to have the courage to tell their crew about their relationship thing magingy:3
I want this kinda as a side part oneshot, where mario tells the smg4 crew alone since inksy is dealing with the tsb crew (shhhh...we have a crew.... We have a crew!!! WE HAVE ONE!!!!!)
(Mind you, that Tyler, Luigi, tsb and Dr mango know already so I doubt they care about this since they heard about it first)
But like this oneshot should focus on mario first because ladies first duh /silly anyway, again this should be Mario's perspective first because I wanna know the smg4 crew's reaction to hearing about the relationship between mario and inksy
I do want to make like some notes about this first tho, since some of the smg4 crew don't know inksy, if mario tells them her name I think smg4 would bring her up about how she looks like or maybe having the idea to visit her since mario told smg4 inksy is from the hospital mango works in??
Also, I do THINK one of the smg4 crew wouldn't really like believe in mario since y'know, it's mario why would some of the guys believe him dhsjskejjshs
I feel like smg3 would just make some small jokes about it but once mario like brings up about inviting inksy over at the castle SMG3 would just make a silly stupid bet sjsjsjsjshsh/silly
I kinda just want them to meet inksy like that because I don't think I want to write like a crazy thing where each one met inksy with some story idk about much /silly, I just want them to meet inksy where the entire crew meets her and not just one by one
I do high-key want the oneshot to start with mario kinda couraging himself to tell the entire crew as he enters the castle because I think him being in a relationship and not telling someone (except Luigi) for some months is a big thing I think :3
(also I think mario would like text the entire crew to meet up at the castle living room and blahblahblah)
Anyway I hope you get what I mean by this oneshot<33 (also I don't want a inksy version of this with the tsb crew, I kinda just want a second part where the smg4 crew meet inksy the next day after the confession)
(anyway, hope you don't expose me toward the others in the haven server because of this fat writing I made🤑🤑🤑🤑/silly)
oh boy. Anything for inkrio.
With friends like these... (Inkrio? Kinda?)
"Are you sure about this, mi amor? We don't-a have to say anything right now." Mario held Inksys hand, looking up at her with those big eyes. He always worried about things like that, always hated making Inksy feel like she needed to rush. In truth, he was nervous. It was a weird feeling for him, telling the crew something he thought was so sacred and fragile. Their relationship had been behind closed doors for such a long time, and he was getting used to it. So for him to have to tell the rest of his friends...it was nerve wracking, to say the least. Inksy nodded, smiling softly. She could sense the "Itll be ok, Mario. You can do this." Mario was tense, but her words offered a hint of encouragement. He nodded, and they went their separate ways. Inksy went to tell the TSB crew, while Mario went to the showgrounds, not exactly prepared, but he summoned his courage to confront his own crew.

"Alright, Mario. We're all here. Now, what was your announcement?" The crew was seated in the game room, scattered around. The two meme guardians, Saiko, Tari and Melon were on the couch, while Bob and Boopkins were on either side. Meggy stood next to Mario, having helped him gather everyone. Mario took a deep breath, and started. It was now or never.
"Mario's-a big announcement is that...well...Mario has a girlfriend."
The room was silent. No one knew what to say. This was Mario, the same guy who couldn't open a can of beans without fucking up or destroying the castle. And he had a girlfriend? Smg4 started to speak, but was cut off by Threes laugh. "HHAHAHAHAHHA! Veeeeeeery funny, Mario. Now tell us what the real announcement is." Mario rolled his eyes, expecting this to be one of the responses. "It is the real announcement! Mario does have a girlfriend! Her name is Inksy and she's-a very nice and-a tall and pretty!" Four elbowed Three, who simply rolled his eyes in response. "Why don't you bring her by the castle, Mario? We'd love to meet her." Mario nods, giving a simple "wht not" shrug. The girls look at each other, excited to see who this "girlfriend is." Four and Boopkins ask more questions, while Bob and Three make a bet on weither or not Inksy is real.
A few hours later, the crew is preparing for a "family dinner" while Mario goes to get Inksy. They're all quietly chatting amongst themselves, wondering what she's like. Three and Bob, of course, makes a bunch of "imaginary girlfriend" jokes, but they all seem genuinely interested. Eventually, the door opens, and Mario walks in with a very tall woman. "Guys, this is Inksy!" The crew look up to meet her eyes, a soft and nervous expression on her face. Saiko is the first to greet her, finally happy to have someone around her height. "やあ! Hi there! I'm Saiko." She holds out her hand, and Inksy takes it, shaking it softly. No one questions the crutches, or the IV full of black ink. Instead, they're focused on how tall she is. It's Three's sigh that breaks the awkward atmosphere, handing Bob a $20. "Hell yeah! Suck it" Bob grins, pocketing the money. The rest of the crew just roll their eyes, and they relax, sitting down and eating together. They all take turns talking to Inksy, genuinely interested and taking a liking to her. Mario smiles, and leans towards Meggy. "Thanks for this, by the way. Mario was-a worried that you wouldn't-a like her." he whispers, watching as Inksy and Tari talk to each other, Clench making them both laugh. "Eh, its nothing. And besides, we're not a judgey people. Well, other than Three, of course." she whispers back, elbowing him playfully. Mario laughs, and the two rejoin the conversation, the atmosphere light and warm. Mario suddenly realized that all the worrying he had was for nothing.
Not with friends like these.

Make me some Raiko (rmg and saiko) 😝😝😝😝
not even a "please" shaking my head/j
A Smashing Good Time (Raiko)
急いで!At this rate, I'll never test my new hammer!" Saiko tapped her foot, waiting on RMG to walk out. If there was one thing Saiko lacked, it was patience. Especially when she was excited. Rmg, however, could wait for hours and never even get annoyed. It baffled her to no end. Eventually, Rmg walked out, her sunglasses resting on her head. She smiled softly, her teeth shining in the sunlight. "Yeah, yeah, I'm ready. Let's go." Saiko stopped tapping, her hammer draped over her shoulder. "Its about time,のろまな人." Rmg rolled her eyes, walking hand in hand with Saiko.
The two walked together, chatting about small things, Rmg occasionally earning a laugh from the pink pigtailed girl. They eventually came to a clearing they had set up the day before, lined with multiple objects, all varying shapes and sizes, but with the same endgoal in mind: smash. Saiko hurried over, and, without hesitation, started smashing things with her new hammer. She had lined it with spikes and her own custom design, shining and polishing it to the point where it looked like she'd never used it before. She was having a great time, and it was clear she didn't want to ever stop.
Rmg, on the other hand, sat down nearby, watching her. She enjoyed moments like this, watching as her girlfriend ran around the clearing. It always brought a smile to her face to see Saiko excited. Weither it was music, her hammer, hell, even ordering chicken, Saikos excitement rubbed off on Rmg. She was a moth drawn to flame, the light in Saiko's eyes and the smile she had stirred something in the tall deer, something she didn't know what to name and decided she'd be better of keeping it that way. Eventually, Saiko finished smashing everything in sight, and turned back to Rmg, glowing in a light Rmg could only describe as majestic. She looked like a warrior, the way her hammer sat on her shoulder, the sweat beading from her forehead, her smile of victory planted on her face. "うわあ. That took longer than I thought. Ice cream?" she asked, watching as Rmg got up, nodding. "Yeah. I'd kill for something cold right now." Saiko laughed, and the two walked off, hand in hand, to get some food and spend the rest of the day together. To anyone else, they looked like an odd pair, but they didn't care.
They always had a smashing good time together.
Translation:
急いで -> Hurry!
のろまな人 -> Slowpoke.
うわあ -> Jeez.

The Uneven Beat of a Bleeding Heart (Hextrick)
Do you ever hear someone laugh for the first time and know right then and there that you want to be the reason they laugh like that?
Those stupid flowers. Trick was getting awfully tired of seeing them. At this rate, he was going to die of them. Literally. She'd heard of the disease before, the hanahaki disease. At first, she thought it was stupid. Flowers? In your stomach? Please. That was until they began coughing them up. The stupid bleeding heart petals falling out of her mouth before she could stop them, piling up at the bottom of his stomach everytime Hexsy walked by. She told herself she'd be fine, that the stupid flowers would go away, that she wasn't in love with Hexsy.
It wasn't going to do anything though.
The petals were slicing through her skin, serving as painful reminders of the love she carried for her. Hexsy was always around, and she liked it that way. He liked being around her, liked watching her tail light up different colors depending on her mood, liked drinking coffee and gossiping about everyone in the morning, liked going on walks with her late into the afternoon. That was one of the reasons she wasn't getting the stupid surgery to get rid of the flowers.
It wasn't worth letting go of all those memories.
"Trick! Hey!" Hexsy knocked on the door, worried about her. They had been hanging out together, having another coffee morning. Trick was laughing along with whatever joke Hexsy had said, his eyes sparkling with joy. That is, until Smg3 walked in. Suddenly, it was as if Trick was thrown to the shadows. They had know, of course, about Hexsy's love for the purple Mario recolor. It seemed to be the topic of almost every conversation, and never failed to make her sick her stomach.
And today was no exception.
She excused herself -not that it mattered anyways, they didn't notice- and headed to the bathroom, almost immediately throwing up flower petals. It was the same burning sensation everytime, but this time it felt like more. Like she was wringing herself dry, and at the same time felt so full. When he opened his eyes again, he realized that his left eye didn't open fully. He ran to the mirror, his eye having been replaced by the petals of a bleeding heart. How ironic. Of all the flowers, it was the bleeding heart. That's how she felt, as if her heart was cut open and bleeding, and instead of patching it up, it was being rung out over and over. "Trick!" Hexsy bursts through the door, watching in horror as Trick slumps against the wall, leaning down towards her. "Its alright, Hex. Just a silly magic trick. Tada..." he smiled weakly, giving her jazz hands. Hexsy shook her head, she wasn't stupid. "What is going on? Why didn't you tell me about this? Trick, you-" shes cut off by a kiss, and she doesn't object. Tricks hand-the one with less flowers, of course- was gently cupping her cheek, her thumb brushing over the soft skin as if it was a security blanket, soothing and comforting. Hexsy pulled away, thinking that would be it. A kiss from your soul mate would end the disease, right? Reciprocated feelings were the cure?
But they weren't. At least, not fully.
Hexsy held her close, quietly sobbing. She knew, in truth she'd always known, that Trick loved her. And she couldn't help but feel guilty for unintentionaly leading her on. She continued to hold her, her tears watering the flowers scattered along Tricks lifeless body. She would never hear Trick laugh at her jokes, or walk with her during the late hours, or have coffee with her in the morning. It was over, and she couldn't help but blame herself. Who knew how long she'd been in that limbo, her tears watering the flowers. Even when Smg3 came in, and the ambulance arrived, she couldn't bring herself to look away. Hell, she swore she could hear a heartbeat still.
A heartbeat.
That snapped her out of her trance. She pulled out of Threes grasp, running toward the ambulance they were taking Trick away in. She stayed in that ambulance, refusing to move her ear from her chest, swearing over and over that "she's alive, she's alive he's going to make it, they still have a heartbeat, they're gonna be ok."
It wasn't until later, when they had declared Trick dead and removed all the petals that Hexsy found out what that beating she heard was.
It was a flower. A Bleeding Heart. The beat was uneven, but it didn't matter. It was Tricks. Thats all she cared about.
GOODNIGHT. GOODBYE. I'M DONE. @hexsie @knightedmares

Anytime (Marware)
"This isn't a good idea, Mario." Puzzles said, watching as his lover got his face decorated in the colors of the gay flag. "Oh, come on, mi amor! It'll be fun! And Mario promises that you-a won't get lost during the parade." Puzzles chuckled, rolling his eyes. They both knew that if anyone was getting lost in that parade, it was Mario. "Thats not what I mean, love. I'm saying i don't think I should come with you at all. I think I'd be much better off staying here. Its not like I know what I'm even celebrating anyways. I don't know my sexuality or stuff like that. What if someone asked? Or what if.." Mario cut him off, moving closer to him. "Its- a gonna be fine, amor. The parade isn't some flashy event, its just to show how proud we are to be ourselves!"
"I know, but I've never really done this kind of thing before. What if I mess it up? Genuine affection doesn't really tend to be my strong suit..." Puzzles sighed, wringing his hands. Mario couldn't help but notice how often he tended to do that. He also couldn't help the urge to gently take his hands, squeezing them softly. He didn't have to say anything for Puzzles to understand what he was trying to say. For him, the physical touch and his presence was enough. They stayed like that for a while, Mario's thumbs gently tracing over the TV man's gloves, until he finally spoke.
"Mi amor, Mario's-a not really good at these kind of-a things. But if theirs one thing Mario's-a good at, its cheering up the people I-a love most." Puzzles looked up at him, already feeling better as Mario continued. "You don't-a have to know who you are right-a now, nor do you have to feel-a the need to identify yourself. Mario's-a still going to love you no matter what. So please, don't-a beat yourself up over this, ok?
Puzzles nodded, smiling softly at the small Italian man. "How did I end up with the most understanding yet idiotic human for a partner?" he asked as he finally squeezed Marios hands back gently. Mario laughed, looking up at him with soft, warn eyes. "Hey, Mario's-a the best, and we both-a know it." Puzzles laughed, leaning in to rest his screen against his partners forehead, relaxing into him. "Yeah. Yeah you are. Thank you, Mario." Mario smiled, relaxing into the TV man as well.
"Of course, Mi Amor. Anytime."

Not One to Judge (FrostedOrgans)
!! TW FOR SLIGHT MENTIONS OF BLOOD AND CANNIBALISM !!
"You're not actually eating them like that, right?" Tyler asked, watching as Vex brutally munched on yet another person. She had seen this before, as it seemed Vex was always getting the munchies now and then. At first, she didn't even want to be in the same room as Vex when she ate. But now? It was growing on her, she supposed. Vex looked up at her, swallowing the meat she had in her mouth before speaking. "What, you gonna bake them into cupcakes for me?" Tyler rolled her eyes as Vex laughed, both of them continuing their tasks. Tyler was setting up th display with muffins, cupcakes, small bundt cakes, and her personal favorite, pies. She paid no mind to Vex, letting the comfortable silence wash over them. For some reason, it was always easy with Vex. They could sit there for hours and not talk about anything, yet still have a good time together. Aside from the fact that Vex seemed to enjoy her boss, ("What do you even see in him anyways?" she asked once, while Vex just stared at him dreamily. "What don't you see in him?" she responded, to which Tyler said nothing, mainly becuase she had no idea how to answer that,) she didn't really seem to mind her. It stayed quiet for a while, until Vex spoke up, finally finishing her meal. "Hey, Ty?" she asked, leaning against the counter. "Hmm?" she responded, looking up at her. "Whats up?" "How come you're not bothered by my...questionable eating habits? I mean, you seem totally unbothored by the fact that I just ate a person." Tyler shrugged, acting as if it was normal. "Come on, Ty. Theres gotta be some reason." Tyler just shook her head. "No, no reason. I'm just not one to judge." Vex grinned, rolling her eyes playfully. "You must've done something really bad to be able to say that, Ty." Tyler scoffed, rolling her eyes and getting back up. "Maybe. Can't remember if I did, though." Vex nodded in understanding. Tyler's amnesia was pretty much a well known fact by everyone who knew her, so no one was really alarmed by the fact that Tyler couldn't remember certain things. Suddenly, Vex hopped over the counter, standing next to Tyler. "Come on, lets bake," she grinned, heading towards the kitchen. Tyler laughed, chasing after her. They spent the rest of the day being and laughing, making a huge mess they knew they'd be forced to clean later. For now, though, it didn't matter.
They was no one to judge them, and that made it even better.
@vextheallay COME GET YOUR FOOD!!! AND QUIT BUGGING ME FOR THINGS I DONT WANNA WRITE ANYMOREEEEE/j

A "Cinn"-namatic Performance
Come on, Dad! Thats not fair!" Cinn, Eggdog and Beeg were playing on the showgrounds, Beeg and Eggdog using their silly meme abilities. Cinn, feeling left out, was complaining to Smg3 once again about not having any powers. "Cinn, we've been over this already. You don't have any powers." Smg3 sighed, already knowing where this conversation was going. It was a constant battle with Cinn, especially when it came to being "more human than vex." Sometimes he wished he could just tell her the truth, but he couldn't risk it. Vex eventually came out, saving Smg3 from another intense battle with the little gremlin. "Whats going on? Cinn, are you ok?" Cinn was sat on the floor, upset, as Smg3 rolled his eyes. "Shes upset about the whole "no powers" thing again." Vex laughed softly. To her, the whole thing was ridiculous. She herself would definitely rather be human than a vex, so to her the whole argument didn't make any sense. "Cinn, honey, you've really got to get over it. Its not so bad not having powers, you know. And being a vex isn't exactly a walk in the park." Cinn just ignored them, watching as her "siblings" played together, practically bending reality to their whim. Eventually, she got up, gave them a quick "I'm going to my room" and left, deciding to wander on her own instead. She reached a certain spot in the woods, laying against a tree and mumbling to herself, her words some variation of "It's not fair" as she fumbled with her necklace.
"Oh, poor little bird...you look upset. Whats troubling you, my dear?" A voice from behind her said, and she spun around, immediately ready to throw hands. The voice just laughed, seemingly spinning around her. "Relax, Cinnamon. I'm harmless, really." She froze, her guard still up. "Who are you? And how do you know my name?" She called out, still looking for the source of the voice. The voice laughed, finally stepping out of the shadows. He was a tall, slender man with a TV for a head, the screen changing expressions for him with almost every sentence. "Oh, I know much about you, Cinnamon stick. And I think you'd make uite a cinn-namatic performer! Especially with those wonderful powers of yours." Cinn continued to keep her guard up, but couldn't help be a bit curious. "Powers? I don't have powers." The man laughed again, leaning down to her level, poking the small gem she wore around her neck. "Oh, yes you do. They've just been hiding them from you. Afraid you'd never be able to use them properly. So they concealed your powers. Don't believe me? Go on, take it off." Reluctantly, Cinn ripped the necklace off, and instantly she felt a rush of something through her bones. She felt lighter, and way more invincible. She hovered slightly above the ground, her wings working in a way the never had before. "See?" The man said, smiling as Cinn enjoyed her newfound freedom. "I have powers! I HAVE POWERS!!" She suddenly stopped, the weight of her words hitting her. "I have powers....
...and they lied to me about it."
It was dark by the time Cinn made it back to the cafe. Vex and Smg3 were already there, and were about to scold her until they saw her face. "You lied to me." Her tone was laced with anger, and the two didn't know what to do. They had never seen their daughter so angry before, and honestly it scared them. "Cinn, what are you talking about?" Vex asked, slowly moving closer to her daughter. Cinn suddenly yanked the necklace off, smashing it to the ground, that rush of power returning. Smg3's eyes widened, and he moved closer as well, his voice full of confusion. "What- how did you-" "My friend. He told me. He told me the truth." Smg3 was confused, until he saw the silhouette of her friend. He immediately went to lounge for him, but Cinn was quicker, her iron sword cutting right through his arm. Smg3 winced in pain, forcibly stumbling back as Vex caught him. "You can't trust him! He's just trying to manipulate you! He's a liar, Cinn."
Cinn stopped in the doorframe, her head turning towards them, her eyes cold and distant.
"So are you."
She walked out of the cafe, leaving her parents behind. The TV man walked beside her, his expression soft. "It hurts being lied to, huh? I know exactly how you feel. Come with me, Cinn. I know how we can right those wrongs, and we'll make them pay for their lies." Fired with newfound anger, she gratefully took his hand, a bolt of electricity going through her. "You know, you never did tell me your name," she said, walking hand in hand with her new friend.
"Oh, of course, how rude of me.

Nothings Better Than This (Inkrio)
"Inksy. For the last time. You're going to be fine." Tyler said, watching as Inksy scrambled to find something nice to wear. A few hours ago, Inksy had called her to come help her get ready for her first date with Mario. Tyler knew damn well that Inksy and Mario hadn't told anyone else, so she felt kind of honored when Inksy asked her for help.
Boy did she regret that now.
She narrowly avoids being hit with dress after dress, watching as Inksy dug through her wardrobe as if she was looking for treasure. "Jeez, Inksy, its just M. I don't see the need to get all dressed up." Inksy sighed, turning towards her. "Its not just dressing up, Tyler. Its looking perfect. I want this first date to lead to more dates, and that won't happen if this date doesn't go well." Tyler smiled softly, walking over to her friend, looking all the way up at her. "Inksy, nothing is going to be perfect. You got this." Inksy sighed, relaxing slightly. The two of them finally picked out a red dress-"Mario's favorite color!" Inksy had said, causing Tyler to roll her eyes- did her hair, and eventually she was all set. "Remeber, breathe. Its okay to be nervous. Chances are, it'll be just like hanging out regularly. Just, with dinner involved." Tyler comforted her, having "borrowed" Threes car to drop Inksy off at the restaurant. Inksy gave a soft little wave, then walked in. It's fine, she told herself. Itll probably be just like Tyler said. a nice relaxing hangout, with dinner involved.
Oh, boy was Tyler wrong.
Mario and Inksy sat there awkwardly, the conversation seeming to have died out multiple times. Neither of them had any idea what to say, and it was obvious they were both extremely nervous. Mario seemed especially nervous for some reason, which just made Inksy even more nervous. They did manage to order food and drinks, but even as soon as the waitress left, silence befell on the two once more. At some point, Inksy couldn't take it anymore, and decided to say something, anything to end this nightmare. "You look pretty." Mario blurted out, just as Inksy was going to say something. "You look really pretty. I like the dress. My favorite color." Inksy nodded, smiling softly. "Yeah. Tyler helped me pick it. Shes a good friend." Mario nodded in agreement. "So, let me guess: you're getting pasta for dinner?" Inksy questioned, earning a slight chuckle from red Italian. "I wouldn't get anything else." Inksy laughed, and suddenly it was like a weight was lifted off their shoulders. The conversation started flowing easily, and the two lovebirds were able to break through the nervousness that had engulfed them earlier. Even when dinner eventually came and it was time for them to go, everything was easy and carefree. Once they payed-Inksy, obviously, since when does Mario have money?-they headed out, deciding to go sit under the moon for a while. Mario made it to the door first, holding it open for her. "After you, mi amor." he grinned, bowing for her.
It was a beautiful night. The air was cool, crisp, and perfect for dancing in. Not like they were going to dance or anything, they were pretty content with just walking around and talking to each other. They talked about everything, from Mario's adventures to Inksy's trips to the hospital. It was easy for them to talk now, after the awkwardness had finally passed. "You wanna know something funny?" Mario asked, looking up at Inksy. Inksy nodded in response, waiting for him to continue. "I was so worried about this date not being perfect, and yet it turned out just fine." Inksy laughed, having thought the same thing. "Well, at least you didn't go through the whole closet trying to find something to wear." The two laughed as they kept walking, enjoying each other's company.
There truly was nothing better than this.

Therapeutic Privilege (Burgerfruit)
"Doc, you've been working yourself to the brink recently. Whats going on?"
Mango got the same question over and over. And everytime, he answered it the same way..
"I'm fine. It's nothing for you to worry about."
It didn't matter who it was. Hexsy, Tyler, Marek, or even Smg7. It was always the same response. Some variation of "I'm fine" always left his toungs before he could stop it, and he would let it. It was better than speaking the truth, anyways. No matter how much it hurt.
He was in his office, filling out the paperwork for the day. It was unusually quiet, so he took the time to catch up on some.of the other work from previous days. He liked when it was quiet,, to an extent. It meant he could focus, but it also meant he was alone with his thoughts. Not that it mattered to him anyways, especially when he'd become so good at pushing them down. There was a soft knock on the office door as Tsb showed up, a bag of food in one hand. He walked in with his goofy smile, the smile that Mango had unfortunately grown to love, as he walked over to the desk and sat on the edge, the bag of food and paperwork dividing them. Mango didn't bother to look up at him, knowing the only thing he'd see is the worry hidden behind the oversized and rather comical sunglasses. Before he could open his mouth, Mango raised his hand, quieting him. He was fully prepared to give him the same response as he had given everyone else. "II already know where this is going, Tsb. 'm fine, seriously. No need to ask." He said, putting his hand back down. "Whatever you say, horse man. Thats not what I wanted to ask, though." Mango sighed, refusing to stop his work. "Oh yeah? What did you wanna ask then." It was silent for a while as Mango waited, his focus still on his work.
"Are you ok?"
Mangos ear twitched, his focus finally not on the paper in front of him. "Am I what?" He asked, wanting to make sure he heard him correctly. "Are you ok?" He asked again, watching Mangos reaction. Mango wouldn't respond. He couldn't respond, he had never gotten that question before. Was he ok? No, he was tired and hungry and wanted to go home, yet hated leaving the office everyday because it was the only place he wasn't alone with his thoughts. He hated his thoughts, the way they wrapped around him and suffocated him until he felt like he couldn't breathe. He hated everything he'd been put through, hated being tired, hated not eating properly despite being a doctor, hated being him.
"I'm fine. What makes you ask?" He responded, looking back up at him, the lie slipping of his tounge and rolling to the ground. Tsb wasn't having that though, and he caught it before it could hit the floor. "C'mon, doc. You don't have to lie to me. I'm here for you, y'know. I always am. You can talk-" he was cut off, Mango raised his hand again. "I don't know if I forgot to check your ears when you came earlier, but I'm fine. I don't need you checking up on me." His tone was defensive, harsher than it needed to be. Tsb couldn't help but flinch, the harshness something he'd never heard before. But it was definitely something he could match. "Right. Sorry, Doc. Guess I'll be heading out then." He got up, his tone icy and distant. He left the horse alone again with his thoughts, leaving the food there. Once he left, Mango sighed, leaning back in his chair. He'd have to make it up somehow. Maybe get him a burger. He liked those. He turned back to his desk, the bag of food still left there. Curious, he opened it, and couldn't help but feel even worse. Pasta. His favorite.
He definitely owed Tsb a burger now.

Jessica/Jess
To say she was pissed wasn't strong enough. She was outraged. Mortified. Disgusted.
Livid. That was the right word. She was understandably and undeniably livid. She had always seen Anya as someone who preferred the shadows, but the reason why was beyond her. She had done this evaluation, realizing that Anya had never really had someone to hold onto. She often held on to everyone else, and that bothered her. She wanted the amazing nurse to know that she wasn't going to let her suffer in silence. She knew isolation all too well, and she had become fairly good at seeking out others who battled with it, despite it often looking like she didn't notice nor care. She would work on that part. She noticed the way the nurse was spiraling, that smile being all she needed to intervene. When she first met her, she was struck. Beautiful wasn't exactly the right word to describe her. She held onto herself, as if a part of her would fall off if she didn't. Her eyes never fully reached you, they always had something else behind them, as if she was digging into your soul in the sweetest way possible. The way she walked was delicate, moving with incredible confidence on the thinnest tightrope known to man. No, beautiful wasn't enough. She was…majestic? Elegant? She could never think of the right word. Not until now, at least. Now, she looked haunting. She listened to her, fists gripping the fabric of her cargo pants tighter with every word. She would've torn through the skin of her thighs if she hadn't calmed down first. She had so many thoughts. She wanted to march up to the Captain, to shake him relentlessly, to beat him with a stick, to scream, yell, strangle him. As for him, there was one word on her mind.
Kill.
And as if Anya could read her mind, she reached out, squeezing Jess's hand in her own. Her hand was soft and fragile, shaking like a leaf in the fall. Such a stark contrast to her own rough and stone-like hands, unmoving and unfeeling. She was tempted to ignore her words of mercy, not wanting to push herself into deep waters, that locking him away from the crew would be enough, that blood wasn't necessary. But that face. When Jess thought back to her in the future, it was that face she would remember. That look of relief and fear and gratitude. That look of freedom. She knew that Anya had finally found someone on this damn ship that actually cared for her. That was willing to do something. And so, despite herself, she nodded, locking the promise to keep the bloodshed to a zero. As soon as she was swayed by Anya's “I'm fine” ’s, she made her way towards the cockpit, walking past him. She would deal with that later. She had more important matters to attend to.
And she'd be damned if she didn't get what she wanted.
