my friend siraj abudayeh (vetted on line 219), who i've posted about frequently, has been fundraising for his family's daily survival since june of this year. read more about him here, here, and here. follow him here: @siraj2024. he is a journalist who writes frequent updates about the situation in gaza, and it is always better to get the story from the source than filtered through a western lens.

as of about a week ago, he had raised over $90,000 CAD / $64,000 USD. he had withdrawn a portion of it to pay for various daily needs, medical care, and rent.

his fundraiser had been under investigation for a few weeks and the organizer, his cousin, even sent all of their government IDs to verify that they are real people.

despite this, gofundme deleted his fundraiser a week ago. he lost over $38,000 CAD ($27,000 USD). that is a monumental loss that would devastate anyone. but in gaza, it is the loss of a lifeline.

gofundme has a pattern of baselessly investigating and terminating fundraisers benefiting palestinians, often waiting until the campaign has reached the end of its goal to terminate it and refund all donors, leaving the refugees in the dust.

in the hopes of continuing to keep his family alive while unchecked capitalism and gang violence in gaza are on the rise, and in the midst of constant bombardment, displacement, and death, siraj has opened another gofundme. this fundraiser is in his sister's name, and is being organized by a trusted friend of his who lives abroad. we hope it will not be met with the same fate as the old one.

this is my friend Mai. she was the main caretaker in her family. in the last weeks the situation has worsened.

her brother had already had 80 stitches in his arm, which demands ongoing care and essential medications for recovery

she has been diagnosed with hepatitis due to the contaminated food and water in gaza

her mother's heart issues have worsened: she already had a heart device implanted, but her condition is degradings and the medicine that she now needs to survive costs 350$ FOR A WEEK ALONE

her dad who has managed to get to egypt is suddenly fell ill, and he is now needing a catheterization procedure to have a stent placed. the cost of the procedure ranges from $1300 to $1500

these are things that her family simply cannot afford! imagine the horror you must feel in such a situation! the survival of her family depends on YOUR DONATIONS!!!!!!!!!

i cannot imagine the pain that she must feel. what is happening is a genocide and simply horrifying. this is your chance to help.

Nader is only a 17 year old child, but spends every day reaching out to people and trying to get help for his brothers Abdulsalams fundraiser for their family. His father suffers from cancer and needs treatment he can’t get in Gaza to survive, and his little niece is only 1 year old and suffers from malnutrition. It’s very urgent to get them help. hey btw if you are also distraught by the unjust execution of marcellus williams that is scheduled to go ahead today and don't know what you can do to help, there are a number of websites that you can use to send free faxes to the governor of missouri's office. no proof of residence in missouri or the us is required. it only takes a minute and could really make a difference showing that the public strongly opposes this execution going ahead.

faxzero.com and gotfreefax.com will both allow you to send a number of free faxes (5 and 2 respectively)

you can also use multiple emails to double or triple the amount of faxes you can send before reaching the limit.

Marcellus Williams is scheduled to be executed on Sept. 24 for a crime DNA proves he did not commit. The St. Louis County prosecuting attorney reviewed these DNA results and filed a motion to vacate Mr. Williams’ conviction because he believed the DNA results proved by clear and convincing evidence that Mr. Williams did not commit this crime. Although the circuit court has not yet scheduled a hearing to address this motion — and no court has ever considered the new exculpatory evidence — the Missouri Supreme Court set an execution date for Mr. Williams. I implore you to stop this unjust execution before it is too late. Executing an innocent man is a great injustice and a stain on the state of Missouri that can never be undone.
