I was just thinking about how that one person on here had a personality swap au of ghost eyes and how swapping Emilio’s and Tobias’s personalities would actually make a lot of sense for their backstories.
Tobias has been isolated in the woods his whole life. He has suffered extreme abuse. This has been known to give people hyper vigilance and the ability to read people easily. It is a trauma response from having to constantly be on the lookout for a small change in the wind every day and everywhere all of the time. It would also make sense for him to be curious and intrusive with other people, as those boundaries were never really established while he was at home due to him being homeschooled for all of his life until the last few months. I doubt Tobias would share Emilio’s obsession, but some of his other traits work with Tobias.
Emilio has suffered medical abuse and malpractice at the hands of his father and his father’s coworkers. By being exploited in this way, it would make sense for him to be jumpy, shifty and distrustful, as well as violent at times. He is also shown as incredibly impulsive in the canon material, (running across a busy road, throwing furniture at people, dragging a boy into the woods after the boy fell unconscious, etc.)
Overall, I think their personalities are good fits for each other’s backstories and I think that’s why I’m able to enjoy the au so much.

Headcannons for ghost eyes actor au (adult actors edition)
-The actor for Lucas and Luther is one of those people who is the complete opposite of the people they play. So is the actress for their mother.
-The actress for Phillipa is really happy with her role. She got spared the horrible parent curse on the show and is proud of that.
-Everyone was really surprised that Lucas’s actor could switch personalities so quickly, to the point that they could barely recognize him.
-There are a lot of scenes where the adult actors have to be rough with the kid actors. This is extremely nerve wracking for all involved.
-Suzie’s actress dislikes her character a lot. She’s a lot less timid and passive in real life.
-The actress for Lady Kiraba and the actor for Tobi actually knew each other from another project. Her character was very different. He’s just very good at playing distressed little child.
