I apologize for my very extended absence, school has been a lot right now and I've been nonstop completing assignments, tests, notes, and assigned readings, which leaves me little time to watch or post anything. My situation should change in about two weeks, and then I can get back to Goemon posting.
But the reason I'm making this post is to thank the Tumblr community so much for being filled with nice people. I sometimes feel logging onto this account comes with the expectation of making a whole post, so I haven't been using Tumblr for leisure and have instead been using other sites. For obvious reasons I've stayed away from Twitter, and the only other social media I really understand is Reddit, and it's been rough. (The next paragraph is really frustrating and bigoted in every way possible, and then some. Also this is a rant/vent.)
I once said something along the lines of "we shouldn't judge people for their weight" and my inbox got flooded with hate from people accusing me of being woke, sensitive, overweight, and the usual insults. I went into a post about one of my interests and got hit with great replacement theory. Moderators, especially on mainstream subreddits, just allow people to say that all Palestinians and Palestinian supporters are terrorists. A guy posted a comic about how he believed his pregnant wife, and pregnant women as a whole, should get more praise and appreciation, and people in the comments assumed he was the wife and said he was having a "pity party." I would get recommended subreddits that were filled with videos and pictures of people actually dying, and one of the mainstream "interesting (rest of subreddit name)" subreddits was overfilled with people just posting torture devices and methods of killing people. People use AITA to create fake stories in which an LGBTQ+ person/fat person/person of color/woman is evil and ugly and treats everyone terribly, and totally-not-bigoted people would flood the comment section with "see, this is why I don't like [group of people]!" In one story a nonbinary 18 year old who was rude and mean to their single mother and didn't believe in any method of birth control because it was feminizing got pregnant with their anti-abortion religious trans girlfriend who gropes people, and Redditors were taking the story with dead seriousness. And, of course, there was a widespread mentality on Reddit that "Idiocracy was a documentary" (I have heard that phrase way too many times in my life at this point) and everyone nowadays is stupid and that Redditors have 150+ IQs and that eugenics is good actually 😊.
This isn't anyone on Tumblr's fault, and I'll likely be using Tumblr more often, but I've been in a negative cycle of overburdened with work - go on Reddit to relax - see something upsetting - get even more stressed out - get back to work - overburdened with work and stressed out, for weeks if not months at this point.
This is very much a rant and I'm sorry for subjecting you all to it, but I would very much like to thank Tumblr users for being normal. You all are a genuine light in my life and I love the community present on here, and I appreciate each and every one of you for your ability to be kind and have fun. Thank you 👍

This was easily one of the best Lupin episodes
#there will be a rant in the tags that you can ignore#but it is so upsetting how modern/current lupin took away the depths of these characters and flimsily tries to restore their earlier depth#i'm one of those people who craves depth in what i watch and it's so difficult to like this franchise because it will be so close to doing#something interesting only to abandon it#this episode and part one as a whole was peak lupin in my opinion with each character having emotional depth yet flaws to overcome#yet modern lupin would have you believe that these characters don't desire to improve in any capacity#if we were to just focus on Goemon for example right here he shows depth with revealing hidden emotional maturity and empathy for Lupin by#comforting him and admitting he himself is afraid (which is a big deal for a character like him who is supposed to be unflinching)#but in modern lupin goemon will literally say that he's not afraid of anything and this is written without any hint of irony or depth#i'm okay with mindless entertainment and i understand that this is a series simply about stealing but the character assassination is so#disappointing#and when this series does try to be “deep” they pick the most triggering subject matter possible to depict to the point where it's#practically unwatchable (this is in reference to Part 4 and its constant SA plots as well as the rampant gratuitous child abuse plots#throughout the entire series)#i want so badly to love lupin the 3rd but it's a huge problem when fanfiction understands the characters better than the source material#lupin iii#lupin the third#lupin the 3rd#goemon ishikawa xiii#goemon#arsene lupin iii#jigen daisuke#daisuke jigen#fujiko mine#part 1

[Image ID: A poster from Film Workers for Palestine, JVP-LA, and SAG-AFTRA Members for Ceasefire titled "For Your Consideration: Ceasefire Now." "Hollywood's biggest night is Rafah's nightmare. On March 10, millions will tune in to watch the Academy Awards. During the broadcast, the Israeli armed forces plan to launch a lethal ground invasion of Rafah, the most densely populated area on earth, on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan. They hope we will be too distracted to notice." /.End ID]
Tumblr media
Please do not be distracted by the Academy Awards. We NEED to be loud and clear about the ceasefire. We have to do this for Palestine, everyone. Please spread the photo around, or tag mutuals so they can see this!!

This is just a friendly reminder not to post about non-Palestine related interests from the 7th to ideally the 9th. I would love to go back to Goemon posting, but there are more important things.
This goes beyond this upcoming strike, but I would like to remind everyone, including myself, that
Educating others on Palestine is important, if not essential, and
There is a right and wrong way to do it
Spring Break, Easter, and the like are approaching, and these breaks would make great opportunities to protest and advocate for a ceasefire, as well as educate family and friends since many of us will visit with them.
However, it is important to remember that not everyone is "chronically online" as the kids say. Unfortunately, some of those closest to you are completely unaware of what is happening in Palestine, or are completely misinformed by the rampant misinformation being spread. So, in order to effectively communicate why we are calling for a ceasefire, why we are boycotting, why this is a genocide, you yourself need to 1) understand why and 2) assume good faith in others.
Yes, it is horribly racist when someone assumes all Palestinians are terrorists, but this is what popular media is feeding them; assume good faith, though feel free to disengage with anyone not willing to listen to common sense. Yes, this is a genocide, but throwing around buzzwords like "settler colonialism," "ethnic cleansing," and the like mean absolutely nothing if you do not know what these words mean and what they have to do with Palestine (this isn't to say that you shouldn't use them, as they are accurate, but you shouldn't use them if you yourself don't know what they mean). Now is the time to pick up a book or read a reputable news source. You aren't going to get far with anyone if you immediately jump to statements we, the internet, understand and have context for, but your family and friends unfortunately don't.
Please, during this strike or in preparation for these upcoming holidays, take the time to learn the facts and develop the ability to explain why we're pro-Palestine:
30,000+ Palestinians are dead, in comparison to the 1,139 dead Israeli citizens (both group's lives matter, but this has gone on for far too long; this is no longer a war or about defense, this is outright genocidal)
72,000+ Palestinians have been wounded in the attacks, and medical aid is unavailable
20 Palestinians have starved to death already, and this is only the beginning
Jewish Voices for Peace, the United Nations, the World Food Programme, Doctors without Borders, Save the Children, and many other charities and human-rights organizations have called for a ceasefire
Read into the BDS movement and why certain brands were chosen to be boycotted
Read The Question of Palestine, The Hundred Year's War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance, and The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine in particular, alongside other Palestine-related books (many of these are provided as free PDFs online if you simply search them, and I would link to these free sources, but unfortunately it would make you automatically download the PDF instead of redirecting you to a website so I have left them out)
Keep speaking out and standing up for Palestine. Thank you.

I understand that people are getting tired of the phrase "Gaza needs us now more than ever!" but this is still a legitimate statement, especially right now. Ramadan begins on March 10th, but Israel plans on invading Rafah on the 9th, so Palestinians can't even celebrate in peace. The strike lasts from the 7th to the 9th, and at this point in time there is honestly no excuse to not speak out and not participate.
Please, from the 7th to the 9th do not post unless it is about Palestine, do not ignore Palestine, and spend this strike donating, protesting, petitioning, calling, emailing your representatives for a ceasefire, and educating yourself and others. We need to make a stand against the eradication of the Palestinian people.
There will be another protest on March 7.
Information.
Please keep posting about Palestine. Don't post about interests during that day, and make sure to try and join Protests if possible.
From the River to the Sea,
Palestine will be Free. 🇵🇸

How to Help Palestine
This post is intended to guide those who have no idea on how to help Palestine. I am making this as quick as possible, so please inform me if there is another source you would like me to add, or if any of these sources are inaccurate.
According to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, what we, the average person, can do to help Palestine is:
Educate ourselves (reading and learning Palestine's history)
Advocate for change (writing to representatives, voting, protesting, and petitions)
Staying informed and engaged (reading reputable news sources, don't stop talking about Palestine!)
Supporting Palestinian businesses (and boycotting those businesses which do not support Palestine)
Donating to reputable organizations (the PCRF is a great one, however there is also gazaesims.com, Doctors without Borders, UNWRA, and these)
Notice how many of these are free and easily available.
Education
Decolonizepalestine.com, and more specifically its reading list, is a great start. I highly recommend this Palestine Masterlist Google Doc, it provides free resources and just about everything you need to be informed and educated. This Carrd is also informative and easy to understand. Pluto Books is having a sale on books about Palestine, and Verso Books even provides ebooks for free. Words without Borders provides free stories from Palestinian writers. This website also links to free resources. It is also worth checking out your local library to see if they have any available books about Palestine.
Advocate for Change
Email script; send the message as often as you can, and keep track of possible responses from your representatives. If they're advocating for Is---l (such as my representative is, however I do not want to doxx myself; however, they are Republican) vote them out.
Ceasefiretoday.com provides a master list of advocacy resources.
Staying Informed and Engaged
Aljazeera.com is a great resource for current news regarding Gaza, the U.S. government, and the victims of this violence.
As for staying engaged, don't stop talking about Palestine! Talk with your friends, family, anyone about what is happening, and use your newfound education to educate others! Make a stand and cut Z---ists out of your life!
Support Palestinian Businesses
This is a good beginning list, but feel free to branch out to other Palestinian brands.
However, make sure to boycott these companies, and remember to check any produce you buy (especially dates for Ramadan) to see if it is produced by Is---l.
Donating to Reputable Organizations
Here is this charity list again. Make sure that your charity of choice:
Is going to Gaza/Palestine and
Advocates for a ceasefire
Be on the lookout for scams, and if you want to help Palestinians directly without running the risk of a scam, eSims for Gaza is a great source; and, you're making history! You get to tell your ancestors how you fought for Palestinians!
What Now?
As a final note, every little bit counts. Please do not remain silent even if you run a fan account or have a particular "aesthetic," please do not allow your fandom to remain silent, please do not fall for the fallacy that there's no way you can fight against an entire government. There is strength in numbers, and every little action you make contributes, whether for better or worse. Please do not support Z-----t actors or media, please do not drink Starbucks or buy McDonalds because that is what is convenient for you, please do not choose ignorance and silence to what is happening. I am not asking you to sacrifice or put your life on hold, but you do need to care. Thank you.

We are still boycotting!!
Today/Tomorrow is the last day of the week long boycott, but that doesn't mean you suddenly should stop. Even after all this, keep it up. Palestinians NEED to have their voices heard. They need us to keep their story going and to spread their voice. They NEED us to spread their words.
From the River to the Sea,
Palestine will be free. 🇵🇸

I have been meaning to say this for a while but I love your art. It has a distinct roundness and friendliness to it, and makes great use of colors and composition. The character's eyes are typically big and bright and friendly, however you can also pull off an intimidating piece of art well. I love the "cartooniness" of your art, and how no one could truly replicate it by accident. The colors are warm and inviting which go great with the smoothness of the style, and the composition is very engaging and detailed. Speaking of details, you make great use of detail work in all of your drawings, making even the more "silly" pieces look professional and eye-catching. Your backgrounds often have much effort put into them, which contrasts well from the simplicity of the art style, making it clear that it took talent, skill, and dedication to make the drawing, and making your artwork feel alive and truly unique. The textured brush is notable, as well as the little folds, creases, and changes in lighting throughout your drawings. Another noticeable trait in your artwork, though I don't know if I should include it, is the concepts you draw and put out into the world. You can draw Lupin as a demon or as a dragon for Chinese new year and every time it looks new and unique, even if it has coincidentally been done by someone else before. I also include your non-drawn pieces into this last point such as the Luprism and Lupin straw creature, every one of your ideas are uniquely original and creative.
I don't know if this is what you were looking for sorry
Hi guys, not sure if I'll have any responses here but I'll do it anyway
I have a question for you guys: What do you think are the most noticeable traits in my art? You can view them with the tag #peaterookie art or this link
I'll be using these answers for a future project, thank you!
