The look of love

\\Synopsis— It’s slowly getting harder and harder for Megumi to get you out of his head..

\\ This is my first fic so sorry if it’s kinda bad

No matter what, Megumi just couldn’t get you out of his head.

All he knows is he’s scared annoyed. Why did you always seem to bother him? Even if you aren’t near him, you’re still bothering him.

He could feel his face heat up slightly when you move near him, and it’s hell when Itadori or Kugisaki notices. Sometimes he wishes you weren’t so oblivious.

Like one day, you were sitting in the courtyard with Itadori, laughing about something stupid—something that wasn’t even funny—but your smile made it unbearable.

He can remember Itadori’s words. “Just tell her; the worst she can say is no!”

He wishes it was that easy.

He knew it wasn’t your fault. You weren’t doing anything wrong. You were just being kind, like always. Laughing too loud. Sitting too close. Looking at him like you didn’t see the way his whole body locked up when you smiled.

And Megumi hated it.

Hated that he noticed everything. That he cared.

He hated that when you said his name, just casually in conversation, it echoed in his head like a curse.

He hated how he wanted to hear it again.

You noticed how he’d ignore you. Always did. You never understood why though. Did you do something?

Until one day, your curiosity peaked, you just had to ask him..

“Fushiguro.” You spoke.

Megumi froze.

He knew that voice like a reflex. He didn’t even need to turn around—you always said his name the same way. Steady. Like you weren’t afraid of him, even when he wanted you to be.

“You’ve been avoiding me.” You sighed out, staring right at him, waiting for him to look at you.

He blinked, then turned to face you slowly, careful to keep his expression blank.

“No, I haven’t.”

“You absolutely have.”

You stepped closer. Not accusing. Just… curious. And Megumi hated how that was worse.

“You used to at least pretend to listen when I talked. Now you just look like you’re bracing for impact every time I say hi.”

“You’re imagining things.”

“Megumi.”

That was the problem. You never said his name like everyone else did. No sarcasm, no weight. Just… gently.

And it made his chest feel like it was about to fold in on itself.

“I’m not mad,” you said, tilting your head. “I just want to know if I did something wrong.”

That—that made him flinch.

“You didn’t,” he said, his voice low, almost annoyed. “You’re not the problem.”

You gave a tiny smile at that, like you’d heard more than he meant to say.

“So what is?” you asked with a slight tilt of your head, like you’re trying to figure him out.

He looked away. Shadows stirred faintly under his feet. “I don’t know.”

“Liar.” You scoffed, but left it at that. And just like that, you left him again—walking away with that damn smile, the one that kept showing up in his dreams.

Megumi ran a hand through his hair and stared at the spot you’d just been.

You weren’t the problem.

You never were.

He just didn’t know how to look at you without giving himself away.

I saw you had your requests open. Can I ask jjk men smau (the ones you want) coming back from a work trip and when coming home to reader they find out they cut their hair short. Since they didn't react (being in shock, reader got embarassed and locked themselves in the bathroom, so they text to reassure them.
