What's considered the societal norm, polygamy or monogamy? Or are both widely accepted?

They are both very accepted. People can have as many partners/spouses as they want.

What is less accepted, at least in the very high society (which is often the exaggeration of many aspects of society in general) is the lack of a partner. That is looked down upon more (ex: Zaza being single for so long had many treat them as a challenge, but also with lots of performative pity).

Wait, another parent question, since we're on the topic: who got together first? or all three at the same time? instant attraction or long courtship? Since Papa is very adept at social situations, Haba used to be a wild and free spirit (who probably didn't care too much about convention) and Zaza was a heartbreaking pretty person, but kinda uptight? (it's their vibe, I'm guessing) I do love the flavor of their dynamic, but how did it come about? Papa taming Haba first and both aiming at Zaza, bc "omg they complete us"? Any more background lore on them?

It started with Haba and Papa courting each other. There was never one of them who pursued the other more intensely, they got closer week after week, each one of them falling at their own pace (specifically, Papa fell first, Haba fell a bit harder).

They returned for the next Season engaged, wearing a ring on their finger. But Haba had met Zaza previously, and had a bit of a fascination with them.

Interestingly, under everyone's eyes, Zaza let themselves slowly be courted by Haba and Papa, for two whole years. Upon being certain that they were serious about them, and that they weren't just a conquest, Zaza decided to wear the ring too.

(Zaza basically just had high standards and no one had managed to meet them until Papa and Haba)

I love that Zaphia is basically broke because they spend all their money on sex toys. They’re officially my favourite now.

Zaphia has priorities and sex toys + jewellery are at the very top (also the reasons why Zaphia wonders often how they end up with so little money left)

Facts on MCs new parents ?

I have talked briefly about some of them before, but here's some canon facts:

MC's three parents were pretty involved in the Society, often attending parties and huge events. Then, they started to like it less and less and when they learned they'd have MC, they went to the countryside - never to return for years once discovering their kid was a true shifter. They were not going to leave MC to the wolves.

Then, MC asked them to experience the life in the city and they returned, just for them. They are very protective of MC, but also greately respect MC taking their own decisions and support them unconditionally.

Papa: is the kindest and most patient, though also the most likely to fall for MC's charm and agree to every request or puppy eyes. Was a master at handling social events and particularly difficult people, has taught MC how to act with people, how to appear available without being taken advantage of.

Haba: they are the touchiest parent, often bedbound by a chronic condition, they show their child their love by snuggling with them, reading to them, and helping making them pretty. They were a wild spirit, still are, though they are way less impulsive now. They taught MC to love themselves, and their hugs feel like home.

Zaza: by far, the strictest parent. They can seem aloof, sometimes rigid, but Zaza is the most analytical parent, and has taught MC to fly, but also to defend themselves. They were known for being unpredictable, and for having denied every suitor that had proposed to them - until Papa and Haba that is.

The last ask about Sekh' made me think... why would Sekh' return to society after what happened the previous year with MC?

They wanted to prove everyone that they could still occupy their same spaces even if they were unwelcome, but now... the thought of going back, feeling even more ashamed and emptier than before, makes them sick.

I really don't think Sekh' would return to society. MC will have to find them and beg

I- Somehow I never thought that MC could have slept with people that were courting them. Like, I knew that they could be experienced, but not with those people, Sekh' included.

But that got me thinking - in case that MC doesn't actually sleep around (or at all), there's still likely were rumors that they did. So what were Sekh's thoughts when MC rejected them (since they were the one to initiate)? I doubt that they would be upset by the rejection itself or that they are a type to believe rumors. But, considering how nasty people were about Sekh' courting MC in the first place and how others often look down on them - did they ever feel like the rejection was personal and not just how MC is?

And on a somewhat similar note - MC probably had a few courtships broken off because they refused to sleep with the person, so Sekh' trying to initiate might have been the first sign to flee the ship, since they already started to get attached. "They won't abandon me if I abandon them first!"

Unfortunately, Sekh' has developed a very strong self-critique, that tends to make them feel like everything someone does around them is personal.

So yes, they had thoughts. They would never voice them, but they have spent too much time wondering why. Not only because of the sexual intimacy, mostly in regards to how MC shies away from any sort of deeper intimacy with them while they are so... quick to share themselves with others.

Sekh' has absolutely spiralled and asked themselves if, in the end, it's them who's completely out of place.

(But also, if they ever learn what was MC's thinking process, Sekh' is going to be heartbroken and guilty)
