Martha used to be sorta in to tech and computer science n stuff but after leaving Henry she pivoted to a more tech-free lifestyle, if only because she didn't have the money for unnecessary personal electronics. I kinda like the concept of William doing weird, cartoonishly villainous stuff. After winning custody for the sole purpose of being an ass to his ex wife, he remembered he hated parenting and tried to make a system that gradually feeds an aerosolized sedative into River and Michael's rooms at night so they would go the hell to sleep when papa says it's goddamn BEDTIME but it had the side effect of like. giving them scary ass ambien nightmares
