Schools all around the Bay Area (California?) will be unable to reopen this school year. The new school year starts in August or September, depending on the district and school. The school buildings are closed, but school is still in session. Nearly 1 Million students are affected. How will schools continue to teach while they're off school? The state Board of Education is pursuing a distance learning curriculum. Several schools are working on online learning tools. How do children without access to necessary technology learn in distance learning environments? First Gov. Garvin Newsom said on April 1 Companies, like Google, will provide thousands of computers to help California students. Furthermore, the state of California will support nearly $313 000 to provide Laptops and cellphones. Second, the Government and private companies place super spots for internet access in some neighborhoods, which allow internet access. 1 500 of these hot spots have been given out. 5 000 more have been ordered. Will standardized tests be canceled? Yes, the state has suspended all testing for the school year. "Deep Blue" is one of 30 sea lion statues commissioned by the Aquarium of the Bay at Pier 39 in San Francisco, as part of the "Sea lions in San Francisco" public works exhibit scheduled to begin in 2020. Aria Luna is the youngest of 30 San Francisco Bay Area artists to be selected to design and paint the sea lion statues.
