I like to think that G-man got most looking like a human correct except the skin and eyes, his skin is almost too perfect unless he has his ears out. The uh ears are like power level. Why?

I actually had a really fun time designing Tommy. I tried to make him not look too young but also I wanted her clothes and stuff to look very relaxed. Also random headcannon, I wanted to do like boomer parental figures with Tommy and Benrey, but my boomer headcannons/backstory they actually aren’t on very good terms when the resonance cascade happens so I kinda imagine Bubby found Tommy and like taught him how Black Mesa works and how to navigate it.

Also Tommy very tall

For Gordon i wanted to make him very soft looking. He just feels like he would be soft. His glasses are also kinda supposed to look like a VR headset, he has actual eyes but I didn’t care to draw them.

I actually enjoyed simplifying the HEV suit, it’s very fun for me to draw. Many details. Also I took out the panel in the chest that looked like it was filled with buttons and put a screen there.

I’ve posted my Coomer designs on here before but little random fact is that his arms and legs have silicon plating on them. When the plating is on, it like looks like he was relatively normal arms but with weird cybernetic rings/enhancements on them, and when it’s off they look like fancy cyborg appendages. Also he has an old charging cord he used to use to charge his arms and legs before his heart was replaced with a mechanical one. I included it in this just cause I hadn’t gotten to draw it yet and seeing as these are refs I might as well.

Random like little changing fact with Dr. Coomer is that over the course of the resonance cascade he losses the plating to on his hands due to wear and tear. After Gordon’s hand gets cut off, all of his plating on both arms and legs are completely gone.

Bubby and Benrey time.

So I’m very weirdly aware of the like stupid amount of discourse and drama over Bubby and Benrey designs but I didn’t know that before designing either of these guys so

I hope no one minds my Bubby’s claws because I’ve grown very attached to his weird little cat fingers I gave him. Their tips of their fingers are supposed to look kinda like paw pads but finger edition. Also the tips of them are like stained by residue from lighting their hands on fire.

I drew a little thing of their eyes off to the side because I like drawing them with completely opaque glasses. Bubby and all the other prototypes all have grey eyes, along with the Coomer Clones who all have dull grey-ish green eyes.

Benny boy has the epic soft paw pads. He’s wearing gloves despite the fact that he can and is shifting the paws away. They are the shortest of the bunch being 5’1 and they’re very squishy, I’ve always like squishy Benrey designs. Compared to G-Man and Tommy he only has one set of ears and his power level is actually considerably lower then theirs despite what we see him do in the boss fight.

I did draw a picture of what their hair looks like but I never drew it in a bun. Normally they would be wearing it up in a bun under his helmet.

That thing earlier about parental Boomer, Coomer has a knack for befriending experiments in Biological Research. Benrey quite likes Dr. Coomer even if it was a clone that found and helped him.

Also Benrey and Gordon are the only actual ones I looked up their in game models for.
