mmmmm annabeth abandonment issues vs. jason abandonment issues. both tossed aside as children, both raised at camp, both become leaders. but annabeth got a family out of it. first she had thalia and luke. then percy and grover.

jason had reyna, for a while. had leo and piper, for a while. but ultimately jason remained alone. and while annabeth grew with her found family, jason died separated from his.

So you know how in Percy Jackson, Amazon the company, is actually the Amazons, the group of warrior women.

That means Jeff Bezos isn't real in Percy Jackson and is just a fake person the Amazons made up to be their CEO.

So now I have this image in my head of a bunch of Amazons huddled around a table trying to come up with the concept of Jeff Bezos.

"Make him bald!"

"Ooh! And make him evil, as all men are!"

"What evil things does he do?"

"Uhh..."

*Voice from the back * "He doesn't let his workers use the bathroom?"

"Oh that's awful."

"No, another ancient power has already made a false figurehead for a company with the name Steve. They may accuse us of copying them."

"How about Jeff?"

Heroes of Olympus except Percy never officially resigns as Praetor.

And he doesn't get why Jason's acting so werid around him. Until Frank explains that he's technically Jason's superior now.

"But you and Hazel don't treat me any differently."

"Jason's different, he went to Lupa as a toddler and showed up feral. The centurions wouldn't have it, they practically beat discipline into him.

He got better but... Losing his memories must've set him back to when it was the worst."

"...How bad did it get?"

"They said he wouldn't eat unless he was ordered too."

It doesn't help that Jason's basically a traitor to everyone he's ever known. And his replacement is standing here with the power to decide is fate

It's unnerving.

Jason doesn't leave until unless Percy says he can go. He bites back remarks and stays unwaveringly polite and rigid.

Percy hates it.

one thing abt thalia and percy's dynamic that is often overlooked is that percy was punished for the same things thalia was rewarded for. there's a prophecy abt one of the big three kids? percy is treated like a liar and thief and ppl refuse to talk to him. thalia? everyone respects her (including gods!) and assumes she'll do a great job saving the world. thalia is accepted immediately at camp and threatens the place percy spent two years proving he deserves. percy wants to go on a quest to save his friend? he's an attention seeker and glory stealer. thalia? well, she's the obvious choice. thalia comes up w a plan to win capture the flag that's basically "leave everything to me" and percy comes up with a plan that's basically "if you see a good opportunity, go for it," but percy is viewed as the control freak.

what i'm saying is percy had every reason to resent thalia and he didn't. he chose not to. and thalia had every reason to look down on percy and didn't.

even when they were fighting, i never saw it as a power struggle. they were being pit against each other, and instead of doing what everyone expected them to (kronos was fully expecting thalia to kill percy), they chose to love and respect each other. because they're not their parents. they're just two kids who started cracking under the pressure but refused to break.

I seen a lot of people argue at Percy is too smart in the show but One, Sally Jackson used Greek myths as bedtime stories, she took him to museums, she did her best to teach him about the God's and monster's that were gonna come to hurt him, was he ment to not learn anything? And Two, Perseus Jackson isn't an idiot! The books are from HIS point of view and he's is an unreliable narrator that THINKS he's an idiot. He's not ACTUALLY an idiot.

Percy Jackson but Hestia has a cabin. that is where the unclaimed go because she goddess of home and family. Demigods get claimed faster because when they show up Hestia glares at her siblings, nieces and nephews untill they claim them.
