hello, i sent in an anon a bit ago asking you to change the king yaoi theming for this poll out of consideration for the og king yaoi bloggers, and your apology post is really nice and it's clear that you never had bad intentions or otherwise. i am really sorry that there are people who took it all wayyyy too seriously and have been trying to doxx you and threaten you- absolutely unacceptable. please know that those are a very small minority of people who just have nothing better to do than get angry and be bullies online, and that this poll blog and yourself owe them nothing. it shows a clear strength of character and good heart that you made a post apologizing and explaining the circumstances despite the hatred you were receiving, and i hope that the voices of those having fun and being good natured about it all eventually drown out the negativity that was brought on

An awkward, but honest, post.

I really hesitated to make this post because I don’t want anyone to think I’m a clout chaser. Maybe you already do. But I’m hoping that if I can fix a wrong, everyone can feel a little bit better. I want to make really clear that one of the owners of the dc-king-yaoi blog and I have spoken, I changed the name at their request, and they did not ask me to make this post. I have apologized to them, and they have accepted my apology with a lot of grace and dignity.

I choose to make an apology because even after changing my name and not engaging with anyone who has commented or sent me messages, I have still received a lot of messages threatening me, my school/work, and sending me what I guess is supposed to be my own IP address, which I didn’t even know was possible?? for sanctioning incest and ripping off king yaoi. I realize I’ve brought this entirely upon myself, and trust me, I can take the heat, but it’s important to me to be transparent and to right a wrong when it’s called out.

First, an apology. I unequivocally did rip off king yaoi. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone; I was trying to be funny. I actually assumed that king yaoi had ripped off queen yuri and that it was kind of an open source idea. Point is, I didn’t ask permission to rip off their name or style. I was immature and uncool, and I’m sorry for doing something that hurt or embarrassed the creators of that blog or misled people. I have apologized to them, and they were very kind about it. It’s important to me that you know this because I want to own up to my mistakes, and because as far as I am concerned, they are the only person/people with skin in the game. I have apologized and changed my name, and I will no longer be ripping off their style. They have accepted my apology. I can’t go back and undo what I already did, but I can be better, which is why I’m posting this instead of just dirty deleting.

Secondly, batcest. I personally don’t ship it. I also don’t believe that shipping something has any bearing whatsoever on peoples’ real-life morals. I recognize that it is an enormously popular shipping opportunity for a lot of people who like Dick Grayson, and I didn’t want them to feel excluded. Fiction is fiction, at least to me, and I hope it is to you, too.

Again, I’m sorry for the hurt and confusion I caused. I hope that moving forward, we can all (myself included) remember that on the other side of a blog name, there is a living person with feelings and fallibility.
