i’ve been feeling more inadequate than usual. i feel like people underestimate me and overlook me. i feel like nobody really cares about me, that i’m just nice to have around until they find somebody new or better.
it’s almost like nothing is enough for them.

Your Local Ghost
She wandered the bustling city
But no one heard her cries
Begging for anyone
To see her.
She walked through empty corridors
Screaming
Maybe someone will hear her
But no one ever does
Maybe she isn’t real
But knowing of your own existence
Can be pain itself
When no one cares to see you.

Concept for a movie:
A comedy-drama set in 1992 about the takeover of grunge in the music industry. It’s been a few months since Nirvana’s Nevermind was released. The movie is focused on an obscure hair metal band whose potential rise to stardom was quickly cut down when grunge entered the scene. In an attempt to remain relevant, the hair metal band tries its best to become a grunge band. Shenanigans ensue.
Chris Hemsworth plays the frontman / lead singer
Ben Schwartz plays the lead guitarist
Randall Park plays the bassist
Bill Hader plays the drummer
Keanu Reeves plays the keyboardist/occasional rhythm guitarist
Hailee Steinfeld plays the “grunge expert” who the band hires to help them change their image. However, in reality, she’s just a regular Nirvana fan.
Ali Wong plays their annoyed manager who has no faith in the band’s attempt to change their image
Karen Gillan plays the band’s one and only groupie

Sassy Satan and the Fire-Breathing Bone Horse
The greatest love story ever told is not about a shy nerdy girl falling in love with a reckless bad boy with a heart of gold, or when two teens have a forbidden romance and die for each other because they can't be together. The greatest love story is between a concerned father named Frank and a boy with too much sass for everyone else to handle.
On that morning, Rafael woke up to the strangest thing. Ruby was humming while baking cookies that surprisingly didn't have any human flesh in them, Sam and Odessa were planting flowers in the graveyard behind the house and Ainsley didn't have her head stuck in her sketchbook drawing some weird monster they captured last week. Raf walked downstairs to investigate but before he could even take a step, Ruby practically tackles him and drags him to the living room. Confused, Rafael asks "What's going on? Why is Ruby being all jumpy and happy? And why is everyone being so weird?" No one answers.
As Raf stumbles onto the couch, everyone turns their attention to Ruby. "Happy day Gang, my Dads are coming into town and they have a big announcement. They will be here any minute," Ruby said turning to the foyer as if her parents were just going to magically appear. "AHEM, I SAID THEY WILL BE HERE ANY MINUTE," Ruby shouted like she was signaling for someone to come out. At that moment the floor began to separate as a giant puff of pink glittery smoke emerged from the ground as a black and red elevator rose from the Underworld. The elevator had a bronze plaque above the door that read "Hellevator", on the top of the Hellevator it had two little devil horns and makeup lights along the frame of said elevator. "They're here!" Sam and Ruby giggled, Rafael's eyes widened. He was speechless.
As the smoke cleared, Rafael read the writing above the door "What is a Hellevator?" Odessa asked, "An elevator from Hell." Ruby replied. Two men step out of the mysterious Hellevator. One was familiar, he was in a few pictures on the mantle of the fireplace with Ruby. But the other man looked inhuman, his skin was had an unnatural pink hue and he had horns and a tail. For no reason at all the man with the horns was wearing a bright red suit and a sparkly magenta feather boa. "Hey Sweetie," said the man with horns, "Hello other people living in my daughter's home." The two men walked out of the foyer to the living room as the Hellevator sank back down to Hell. As everyone settled in the living room, Ruby began introducing everyone "Okay, Rafael is the person asking all the questions. The girl with the notebook in her face is Ainsley. Odessa is our sweet little moral compass, and finally, Sam is the chick with the bag on her head." The Gang greeted Ruby's parents. "Hi, I'm Frank Jones, Ruby's biological father, an- “the man with the horns interrupted "And you could have guessed, I'm Sassy Satan."
Still, with so many questions, Ainsley was the only one out of the confused bunch to utter a sound, "Wait, why SASSY Satan?"
"Wait, out of all the questions you could've asked, why did you ask that one?" Odessa wondered.
"Settle down children, all of your inquiries will be resolved in due time." Sassy Satan remarked.
After most of their questions were answered, one still lingered in the air. What was Frank and Sassy Satan's big announcement? "We came here today to tell you all that we're getting married!" Frank proclaimed, "Finally! Oh, my goodness, it has taken you two 14 years to tie the knot." Ruby said the group turned to the couple even more confused than before. This had to be some weird collective fever dream that Rafael, Odessa, and Ainsley were having, but at the same time, it was somehow believable (mostly because she was a second-generation serial killer that fights ghosts). "Yes, I met Sassy Satan when Rub's was five," Frank said, "Ooh, Dad tell them how you and Pops met!"
"Well, it all began with a letter to Santa..."
Fourteen years ago, when our lovable psychopath was only a toddler, her father asked her a simple question that was going to change everything. "So, Rube's what do you want for Christmas?" Frank asked, "It's a secret. I can only tell Santa." Ruby said. "You should write him a letter, and you should do it soon. Christmas is only a week away." The five-year-old nodded in agreement. She ran to her room in excitement, so she could keep her Christmas wish a secret. But little did Ruby know that she tragically misspelled the name "Santa". When she was done, she told Frank and they headed to the post office to drop it off. After they mailed the letter, they went out to get ice cream. While doing so, Frank asked Ruby, "So, what do you want for Christmas?"
"I asked Santa for a pony!" Ruby replied, not knowing the events that would happen because of that fateful letter.
On Christmas Eve, Ruby and Frank were setting up in anticipation of Old Saint Nick. Frank pulled some freshly baked sugar cookies out of the oven. When they cooled, he and Ruby each ate one and then put three on a plate next to a cold glass of strawberry milk. Frank read Ruby "The Night Before Christmas" like they did every Christmas. He sent her to bed and then soon followed. That night Ruby was too excited to sleep. At 12:00 a.m. she got out of bed, she decided to have a stakeout on the couch. When she got to the living room, she saw a large, dark figure crouching in front of the Christmas tree. She approached the dark figure slowly and tapped his shoulder. He turned around in shock, "I wasn't expecting you," Sassy Satan chuckled nervously, "Are you Santa?"
"No no, child, I'm much worse..."
When Frank woke up on Christmas morning, he had a sick feeling in his stomach. He knew something was wrong when Ruby didn't wake him up screaming "It's Christmas". He checked Ruby's room at the slight chance that he woke up before her, but just like he thought, no dice. In a bit of a frenzy, he checked the living room, but he wasn't expecting what he found next. He darted into the living room but stopped dead in his tracks. His Christmas tree was burnt to a crisp and right next to it was a horse that was made of bones. Frank could not believe his eyes, a horse made from bones that could breathe fire. His mind was racing at what would kidnap his daughter and leave a demonic horse that could potentially kill him. Was it angry loved one of his many victims? Was it a witch, or an alien? While pacing around the living room he noticed a note on one of the horse's ribs. It read:
     Dear Frankie,
While I was delivering the horse to your daughter, Ruby, she woke up and we started talking. Turns out she is so adorable that I just had to keep her. So, long story short I am kidnapping your daughter, adopting her and raising her as my own. Enjoy the horse!
     ~Sassy Satan
Fed-up with everything, Frank moves his dining room table and chairs. He got a bloody drop cloth and a paintbrush from his linen closet and went down to his basement. While down there, he pulls a small handle in one of the corners in the basement. A huge curtain opened reveling about 15 paint cans, all labeled ‘Totally Not Virgin Blood’. He picked one up from the floor and went back upstairs. He spread the drop cloth out on the floor and opened the paint can. Frank dipped the paintbrush in the "paint" and made a circle. And within that circle, he made a star. Frank began to pour gasoline along the outer rim of the pentagram. When Frank completed the circle, he took a match and lit the pentagram on fire. As the fire consumed the pentagram an elevator rose from beneath the ground and a gap in the ring of fire appeared, so Frank could enter the elevator.
During Frank's elevator ride to Hell, he began to think about some scenarios that could potentially happen. He expected one of two things to happen 1) He would be tricked into spending eternity in Hell, or 2) He would have to fight a bunch of demons and the must fight Satan to get his daughter back. But as the elevator doors open, he finds the last thing he would expect. At a little plastic table, he spotted Sassy Satan, wearing a feather boa and serving fake tea to Ruby. They were having a tea party. At this point, Frank was just done with everything. Ruby soon noticed Frank walking up to the table and ran up to him and gave him a hug. Then she pulled him over to Sassy Satan, "Daddy, meet my new friend," she squealed "Hello Frank," Sassy Satan said as he stood up. "Can I have my kid back, please?"
"Only if I can have your number,"
"And that is the story of how we met," Frank added
"Whoa, Sassy Satan is very suave with the ladies," Rafael said surprised, "I really am," he replied. The rest of the group was almost brought to tears by the beautiful story. For the rest of the day, the Gang and Ruby's parents were talking about wedding plans and when that Gang was going to have their next visit to Hell.
They all lived happily ever after.
     The End?

Dear Emily,
Hopefully, you kept your promise and achieved the things that I can only dream of. Hopefully, you became the person I want you to be and hopefully, you’ve changed for the better. I’m depending on you, but you already know that. Don’t mess this up because I’m counting on you to be better than me. If you turned out the way I imagined and if you’re doing what we plan on doing, then I know that I’m going to love you. I can’t wait to meet you and get to know you. I hope you’re happy and that you’re doing well, but I can’t see the future, so I guess I’m just going to have to wait and see. Make sure you keep the good people in your life, they’re gonna keep happy and help you when you need it. Just remember that they’ll make you happier than any dumb boy can. Work hard and don’t let anyone get in the way of your happiness, but always remember the people that care. I want you to look back on all the years it took you to get here today and I want you to smile. I know that we’re completely different people at this point – I'm just a shadow of who you are now – but keep me in mind. Remember who you are and the people that made you the person you are today. I can’t wait to see you someday. I love you
 Sincerely, Me.

This was for a project in my LitMag. The prompt was Zenith and it had to be mythology themed. It’s not that good
The city of Volos had large, wooden walls surrounding the city in case of an emergency. The people of Volos had decided to build the barrier around the city in case of an attack, and since war ran rampant in Greece, it seemed like a smart choice to ensure the safety of the city. Some saw the walls as trivial since Volos had never seen conflict perilous enough to need them. Even though the walls were already seen as pointless, Volos also had warriors to aid them if there ever was a threat. They were veterans from past wars in Greece and they lived a pleasant life in Volos without fear of harm. They lived a peaceful life, until that day. It was the first time in decades that Volos had known any sort of conflict, but it also made it so Volos’ greatest warriors would be remembered ‘til the end of time. They were Libra, Aquarius, and the Gemini Twins.
It was a day like any other, absolutely no warning of what would come. The only warning given to the citizens of Volos was when a stranger started pounding on the gate into the city. "Help me! Help me!" Came the call from behind the wooden gate. The stranger was pounding so hard that the gatekeeper thought that he was going to break through the gate with his bare hands. When he got through the gate, the man scurried inside the city’s wall. He kept screaming about how the Titans have returned and how they’ll destroy all of Greece and reclaim their land. No one took his ranting seriously, not until a giant shadow enveloped the entirety of Volos. There was only one thing left to do, it was to call Volos’ mightiest heroes.
Libra was a general in the war, so she took charge as soon as she saw what was going on. She called the Gemini Twins and Aquarius, they got their weapons and they prepared for the fight ahead of them. The cyclopes had already broken through the gate, they were wielding clubs and smashing anything in their path. It seemed like it was the end, but luckily Aquarius had a plan. He gathered as many civilians as he could and had them fight with the others. Even though almost everyone in town came to fight against the cyclopes, there were not enough of them to make it an even fight. But they persisted. The citizens of Volos fought with everything they had against the titans, they were determined to keep their home safe from anything that threatened them.
As the battle went on, it seemed like the cyclopes had the upper hand. So much blood had been shed, so many homes had been destroyed. Libra came up with a plan, she told them to try and make the giants fall, so they can hit more vulnerable areas. The plan was mostly a success, three cyclopes had fallen and the villagers were trying to bash their heads in, but one of the villagers was swallowed whole by a cyclops. There were only two more cyclopes left and they were getting weaker with every blow. The Gemini Twins were focused on bringing the other two to the ground, Castor was successful in bringing one of the cyclops to the ground, but was distracted by his brother, Pollux, calling for help. Just as he was going to land a fatal blow on the titan, the screaming got louder and distracted him for only a moment. That single moment would cost Castor his life because when he was distracted, The cyclops took advantage of that and sunk his weapon into the mighty warrior, the titan gather the last bit of its strength to get his knife and ram it into Castor’s heart. He didn’t even realize what had happened until he saw the look on Pollux’s face and felt the warm blood dripping from his middle. Pollux raced to his dying brother as he slinked to the floor.
“Why couldn’t the battle be over? Why did it have to end like this?” Pollux said to himself. Castor died in his arms. As soon as the light left Castor’s eyes, Pollux threw his lifeless body over his shoulder and made his way across the battlefield to try and help his brother. He was able to dodge the arrows and spears and all of the carnage around him, but as soon as he got to a safe place to stow his brother and find help, the last cyclops saw and crushed them both with his club. Libra brought the last titan down too little too late, the Gemini Twins were dead, but their deaths were not in vain. They saved the village and the villagers, they were heroes. She went to go find Aquarius and tell him the bad news, but when she found him, he was too wounded from the battle and bled to death. She collapsed to the ground and cried out in anguish.
Later that day, the surviving villagers held funerals for all who died that day, with the exception of Aquarius, Castor, and Pollux. They were given a hero’s funeral for their efforts in saving the town. Their bodies were placed on altars and burned. The embers that came off of their bodies rose up to the cosmos and were set in the sky, so they will be remembered as heroes forever. Many years later, when Libra died, she was given a hero’s funeral for all of her bravery throughout her life. Becoming the stars in the night sky that will forever hold their memory and commemorate their courageous acts, so they will always be known.

Ice-olation
As we were climbing up the mountain sky
The wind started to howl and roar
A shiver crept down my spine
We wouldn’t have done this if we’ve known before
Rumbling on the mountain top, giving off a chilling breeze
As I look to the sky, I was bewildered by fear
In that state I stare, I was less and less at ease
As the heap of snow keeps tumbling near
   ‘Avalanche!’ I hear them shout
They all scrambled, but I couldn’t move a muscle
Standing there like a lout
Everyone seemed to have got caught up in the bustle
When did we start to go astray?
The mist and clouds were too thick to bear
Lost I was and so were they
I welled with tears and gasped for air
The commotion left me stranded, away from civilization
None of this felt real, it must be a dream
Something of my own creation
Imagining the pure white snow’s gleam
I must go on to reach this cursed mountain’s peak
There shall be no fuss or delay
But exhaustion sets in as I get more weak
My air supply has gotten too low much to my dismay
My head was dizzy, my whole world was falling apart
My blood began to boil, and my face was getting hot
But there have certainly been mistakes from the start
The cold bitterness of the snow surrounded every thought
At that moment a sweet thought entered my mind
It was of my beautiful family and loving wife
I never thought I would leave them behind
This couldn’t be the end of my life
I had to see them again, there was no other way
The fire that burned inside me started again
It was for them; I will get back to them someday
All I need to do is get through this dense terrain
I see death on the mountain’s brow
Now there’s no knowing where my life will lead
As I leave all the things that my heart will allow
I drift off and away, leaving myself to be freed

Fairytale Twist: The Gingerbread Man
One day, an old woman decided to make a gingerbread man for her husband; she put the cookie in the oven to bake, but when she opened the oven to check and see if it was done he jumped out of the oven. The gingerbread man ran from the old couple and as more bystanders see the cookie run, they start following him in hopes of getting to eat him too.
The gingerbread man was stopped when he got to a river. There was no way he could get across by himself, he would dissolve before he would be halfway to the other side. But at that moment, he saw something that could help him get across that river and bring him to safety. It was a fox. Now, usually, someone like the gingerbread man wouldn’t trust a fox and at first, he didn’t, but he had a plan. The cookie strode over to the fox, he knew his plan would work and he would be free to live safely for the rest of his days. The fox saw the gingerbread man, he knew that he could make the cookie his dessert in no time and he would do anything to make him believe otherwise. But the fox was too late, the gingerbread man’s plan was already in motion.
“Pardon me, sir,” the gingerbread man said, “but could you please give me a ride across that river. In return, I’ll let you eat a small piece of me.” But the cookie knew that the fox wouldn’t have a chance to taste him. The fox gave the small man a look of disgust and huffed at the gingerbread man, “Ha, you are not as delectable as you think. I’ll give you a ride at no cost.” The cookie man was confused but pleased, he accepted and got on top of the fox’s back. They made small talk, but suddenly, when they were about halfway across the river, the fox swallowed the gingerbread man whole.
The fox swam the rest of the way across the river satisfied with himself and ready to take a nap. But he felt s rumbling in his stomach, he chose to ignore it. The fox found a nice, shady spot underneath a nearby tree, laid down, and tried to go to sleep. But the rumbling in his stomach turned into a sharp pain. He sprung up and looked to his belly. The silhouette of the gingerbread man was protruding from his stomach, he felt like he was going to burst. The skin on his belly was tearing. The gingerbread man was trying to break free, he couldn’t believe it. The pain was too much, but suddenly it had all stopped and he couldn’t feel anything. The last thing the fox saw was the gingerbread jumping with glee. “It worked,” the cookie cheered, “My plan really worked, I can’t believe it!” The gingerbread man skipped away, he lived in isolation for the rest of his days.

i wrote fanfiction about my teacher
Everyone has secrets, even our most trusted teachers. You may look at Mr. Radecki and think ‘He’s just a normal guy that teaches journalism,’ right? Well, your assumptions are all wrong. Adam Radecki was once an all-powerful being but resigned to teaching to keep his identity hidden. You may ask yourself how this could be, but it all started with a lone penny in the middle of nowhere.
Before we knew him as Mr. Radecki, he was known to all as the great ‘Radicus Dekium’.He was an all-powerful being who acted as a muse for all who created the works of literature and philosophies for the world to share and enjoy. After decades of inspiring the greatest philosophies and the most bewitching literature in the world, he eventually got tired of his job and wanted a normal life, but, alas, it was simply impossible. When he wasn’t working, Radicus liked to go to a place on earth that no mortal or omnipotent being known of, it was his sanctuary. This sanctuary had everything he could ever wish for, but to the naked eye seemed like an average forest. He called it ’The Middle of Nowhere’.
On most days, when he traveled to the Middle of Nowhere, he would look back at all of the works he inspired, but there were days where he could just rest under the shade of a tall willow on top of a hill. Those were the days that he longed for most, but he had too many responsibilities that seemed like a heavy weight on his shoulders. One day, when Radicus was feeling particularly weighed down, he decided to go to his willow and sleep off his grief. But on his way he saw something that caught his eye; it was most unusual for him, to find anything that he didn’t recognize. it was a small copper coin glimmering in the midday sun. He didn’t recognize the small object lying in the tall grass that filled his sanctuary. Curious, Radicus picked up the object to inspect it; it had a man with a beard on it. Almost immediately, he recognized the object as a piece of currency in America that is formally known as a penny, but this was no ordinary penny.
Unbeknownst to Radicus, this penny would change his entire way of life. When he was done analyzing it, he put it in his pocket and continued on his way to the willow tree. Even though the penny was completely ordinary, he could feel it pulsating in his hand; it was almost like the penny its own energy force equal to his. He brushed it off and went on his way. As soon as he sat in the tall grass, against the trunk of the willow tree, he fell asleep. In his sleep ridden mind, dreams filled his head; he dreamt of the penny and that it had somehow absorbed his powers.
He woke up in a cold sweat, just the thought of losing his powers sent a shiver up his spine, but he would welcome it if it were to happen. Radicus got up from the willow tree but he must’ve gotten up too fast; his head was spinning and he felt weak. He had to hold on to the tree trunk for support. Radicus tried to ascend back so he could inspire more poets, but he simply couldn’t. ‘What if that wasn’t a dream and my powers were transferred to a useless copper coin’ he thought. The thought of him losing his power should’ve frightened him, but he felt relieved. The weight on his shoulders had been lifted and he finally felt free. With his newly found freedom, he was practically clueless about the first thing he should do. Radicus decided to become a journalism teacher, so he could keep up with modern times, while still inspiring others. Oh, and the penny? Well, Radicus kept that penny and it’s still sitting in his desk to this day.
