[ @jazzwithnazz ; Bill] The pupper slowly creeps up. Despite his large size, being in the military has taught him well how to be sneaky. Very important skill. Sloooooowly creeps up to the poor unsuspecting Frog holding a bag of (opened) chip, and... "AWOOOOOOOOO!"

"WAAAAHH!!!"

That bag of chips is getting completely ripped into two halves, sending all of its flaky, potato goodness within all over the room as Slippy himself goes sailing straight up into the air as if to literally leap out of his own skin.

And now there's also a pheasant and a vulpine laughing hysterically long after the frog lands back onto the floor, right in the middle of the mess that had been just made.

"Bill! What the heck, man?? You can't just do that to somebody with springy legs like these, c'mooon!" Don't worry, he's failing a fight with his own grin as rises to his feet and dusts chip crumbs off himself.

"Biiill... c'mon, man..." Falco groans with a roll of his eyes as he lays sprawled out across an entire love seat. Fox does nothing but chuckle, leaning further back into his spot on a couch next to it.

At last.... far too long has it been since this group of friends finally found some downtime to get together planet side to just hang out like old times. Said group found themselves situated in the spacious and infinitely entertaining living room of the equally and appropriately impressive Toad family household, with Slippy himself off in the kitchen nearby to gather snacks. Or... at least he was until the sound of his canine friend's howling had him hastily scrambling back to rejoin the others and nearly dropping the bags of chips he had gathered.

"Yeesh! I thought somebody was dyin' in here!" the frog nearly yelps as he laughs off his panic. He then makes his way to the glass coffee table in the middle of the room where he would set the bags down.

"Nah, just our idol working on his pipes again," Fox responds with a smile. "Figured you'd know that by now, Slip." The vulpine turns to Bill as if genuinely enjoying the show... or at least seeming as though his friend's good vibes were rubbing off on him. Maybe he'll admit out loud such sappy feelings later, but boy did he miss this.

The more serious I become when I say "you have to bully Fox awake" the funnier it becomes. 🤣

"Wait--excuse me?"

Well that was alarming to hear, being watched for so long. A mercenary and soldier is supposed to be always on guard! Though not nearly as alarming as suddenly getting snatched and dragged into the depths of the ocean, and without much time to react in his half asleep stupor.

That much was actually quite a terrifying wake-up call.

Once they've stopped, Fox makes sure to express that displeasure to the fullest with a snarl, not even considering how much this stranger could even see it through the mass of bubbles erupting from bared teeth. Then came the frantic paddling towards where he hoped was the surface. He had no idea what this... woman meant by 'better place for a nap' and currently had no intention to stick around and find out, especially where he couldn't breathe already.

"You're finally awake! I've been watching you for a little while, you look very interesting. I can't blame you though, when the sun is so warm, even I fall asleep!"

However, this was a new experience. This was a non human. That was new for her. She was a non human, and she could survive in water, but she knew humans can't. Certainly, that meant other non humans could survive in water, right? Oh, it had to be true!

"But I know a much better place for napping!"

Laughter, and a grin.

"Come with me! I'll show you!"

Grabbing his hand, very quickly and with a strong grip to make sure she didn't let go, Ariel dove into the sea. Where to? Her garden, of course! Which was very deep, but with her speed, it would take mere minutes to get there. As she got older, she only became more athletic.

And why just study humans, when you could study non humans too?

"Oh, you'll see!"

She takes a moment to stop, near a rock formation, seaweed flowing in the current.

"What's your name, anyway? I'm Ariel! I've seen animals, but never a non human that looks like you!"

That nose is going to give a little wiggle at first. Then its owner begins to stir from his nap on the cozy white sands of the beach.

"Slip, c'mon... go for a swim or somethin', sheesh..." he grumbles before blinking the sleep from his emerald eyes.

Then, Fox sits up and gets a better view of who poked his nose...

"Oh... hey there. Can I help you, miss....?" His question trails off as he looks over the strange young lady in front of him.
