How big can old arcade sprites get? Pretty darn big! This version of Sakura, from the Puzzle Fighter game, is nearly 16000 beads and stands 36 inches tall! Had to make her in two sections due to the size but it came out great. One of the most fun commissions i've gotten to do.

Working on some fun new pieces to have available at Raleigh Retro Gamers Summer Expo next Saturday. First up is Full Armored Pokey from the SNES classic Earthbound. Measuring nearly a foot tall in height! Ever wondered how big it would be to replicate certain game sprites? This Sol Badguy commission I did is the biggest piece i’ve ever made. Over 15,000 beads went into it and measured about 4 feet in height and width when it was finished.   Also included a few progress shots I took when I was making it. The main body was done as one large piece and his legs and left hand were made separately and fused together via ironing to make one large solid piece in the end.

Hi there followers, been a long time since I’ve posted here, but I wanted to announce one important thing, I finally set up an online shop! Please check it out here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/greatsgcreations

I’ve put up a lot of items I’ve had left over since I stopped doing the artist alley circle last year, sadly I don’t know if or when I will return to selling at cons, but it’s not my major focus for my work right now. This doesn’t mean I have quit making pieces, on the contrary, I’ve started making new things with the online store opening. As for the store, it’s a work in progress, but I have a lot of items up for sale and have many more I plan to add soon. So definitely add it as a favorite there! I will keep doing commissions as well, BUT, and this is a big but, I can only do smaller to mid-sized pieces at the moment. Earlier this year, my trusty iron that I did nearly every piece I’ve made finally bit the dust and I’ve yet to find a good replacement that works so well for large scale pieces that I’ve done in the past. Just click the commissions info page and send me an EMAIL for commissions or for other perler related questions. Also, I will be keeping this page up, the commission information here is still accurate and I will keep the links updated as well, including to the new online store. However, I will not be updating to tumblr much, if at all after this; being on this site is just no longer a priority to me, so feel free to follow the facebook page, the etsy store, or my twitter (if you enjoy cat photos, lots of dumb anime RTs and wrestling stuff among my own hot takes) as well. I took a long break from doing perler stuff after feeling a big burn out last year, on top of starting a job that has kept me busy, but the interim gave me time to rekindle my enjoyment of the hobby and I hope the online store will help boost that some.

I’ve had a few private messages on here I never saw until today from months past and to those who had questions, I apologize for never answering, I haven’t had notifications from tumblr enabled and I don’t plan to do so.
