There’s a lot of people that say that the CGI AATC movies are “bad” or “cringe” because of the high-pitched voices and the pop cultures or whatever. But honestly after re-watching all four movies, the best word to describe them is “fun”.

They’re not the absolute best and they’re not the worst ever. They’re entertaining and honestly so cute. 😭💕✨ It’s very obviously targeted towards younger audiences, but c’mon… u gotta admit the raisin bit was kinda funny (ifykyk).

i think about charlene so often honestly, like what an icon. she morphed into brittany of course, and don't get me wrong, pink is literally my favourite colour, but something about that classic red on a chipette was so good.

not that i would trade anything for the chipettes. they own my heart. but sometimes i wonder what would've happened if they kept charlene as the only chipette

hello. please forgive my insanity

in the 2007 movie, I'd say it takes place across a couple of months. at the beginning of the film i think is early December or maybe late november, because the tree they are in gets chopped down and put into a mall where christmas decor is Just being put up, which i feel like indicates the beginning of december.

the chipmunks and dave bond and write songs all of december, and yk the stuff with ian happens, their christmas song is a hit, and they're excited for christmas.

and THEN they move out of Dave's house like a few days after Christmas.

Then they go on TOUR. the first bit of the tour is their "cost to cost" tour, which ian says will be 5 days long. So I think that would take us to the end of December, early January

They continue performing for Ian and being in commercials

Based on a realistic time frame, it is probably mid January when the film ends, if I had to guess.

The squeakquel. In my opinion is at least a year after the first movie, if not more. The chipmunks are well established, and most importantly are very bonded with Dave, enough to call him dad. So like, I think quite a bit of time has passed here. And I'm sure it took Dave a long time to decide he wants to put the chipmunks in school.

The month they start in is unclear, but considering it's football season, they Probably started in September.

The squeakquel is probably 3-4 weeks long. Their routine is established "alvin, this is your day to do the laundry" a couple Fridays pass.

Gives them enough time to have seen the chipettes around school, for practices and rehearsals, the toy drive preparations, ect ect and also for Dave to be in the hospital.

In between 2 & 3 is probably another couple years or so for the same reasons as stated above

Chipwrecked is like a week? They are on the boat for maybe two (more like 1 and a half) days, and then they're on the island for like 4-5 days based on the amount of nights they have

You can add a couple days to that for the end of the film, where they perform and then travel by plane back home

The road chip? don't ask me. i don't think about that movie if i don't have to LMAO

i need someone to explain the cannonics of Alivin and the Chipmunks[2007-2015] to me

this is a copy pasted info dump i did on my private instagram a while ago but im thinking about it again so here it is:

okay yesterday i was asked who the most autistic chipmunk is, and like instinctively i said eleanor bc she's My Favourite and of Course I Would Say That, but i was surprised how quickly i was able to justify it (which i don't need to, bc i can hc her as autistic if i fucking want) BUT ANYWAY eleanor is Me breed of autistic okay. THERES A REASON CHIPWRECKED IS THE BEST MOVIE, ITS BECAUSE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS OF THE VHIPMUNKS AND CHIPETTES ARE ALL GIVEN PERSONALITY TRAITS AND ARCS INSTEAD OF JUST BEING FEMALE COUNTERPARTS . ANYWAYS. eleanor is revealed to love crafting and stuff bc she makes dresses for her and her sisters and brittany compliments her on it and ellie is like "thanks it's what i do :)" AND THEN WHEN SHE SPRAINS HER ANKLE ON THE ISLAND she looses her ability to do things and she feels useless and then JEANETTE GOES AND MAKES THEM CLOTHES AND MAKES HER CRUTCHES AND A WHEELCHAIR and eleanor is so clearly upset about it bc it's HER THING and SHE IS SUPPOSED TO DO IT but she C A N T arrnrnrnrnbrnrrb AND ALSO during the dance scene at the casino when she "steps" on the lady's foot, the lady is clearly annoyed but ellie doesn't notice and she's all like "oh hi im eleanor!!! :)" bc she doesn't read her tone. and and and then at the end of the movie she makes theodore a jungle monster costume and dave is talking about it and theo is like "eleanor made it for me!" Dave doesnt even ask but eleanor says "out of a barf bag!" which yes it's supposed to be a haha funny joke in the film but also she's saying how she did it because she's excited about being able to do her thing and she's happy she can do it because SHES FUCKING AUTISTIC OKAY
