i love how people like clash and other populars can get just about anything redesigned in one attempt (changing patterns and traits often at the same time) but people who arent lodged up mamas asshole have to wait months to redesign even if the two grem designs are extremely similar. its rough being a grem peasant! but at least i dont have the taste of mod cock on my tongue 24/7

I know we're all shitting on Digi (deserved) at the moment, but I want to rant about the current shitstorm that is the Grem redesign process. It is BONKERS to me that markings, colours and traits all have to go through separate, individual redesign passes with a month cool-down between each one. I feel like that just overloads the redesign queue with tiny changes that could be done all in one go??

Literally every other species I'm in just does all three of those things in one go, with the requirement (generally) being that it has to still look similar to the original design. Sooooo why are Grems apparently so complicated that they can't do that?

The amount of favoritism that goes with the redesign process is nuts as well.

Are you digi or Clash? Okay do whatever you want! If you're anyone else? No sorry here is a mountain of things you need to change.

This shit goes down to changing a PIXEL on the ear or thigh.

Densy can't answer to the ethics of GremCorps lore because there are consequences to any answer because there's a degree of (hopefully ethical) breeding iirc, which leads into talks of eugenics (which are only relevant, imo, because Grems are sentient and highly aware). She already had to tweak the home page ages ago because people started pointing out the eugenics angle and I remember early on Grems had ear tags and were essentially intelligent pets...Just poorly thought out lore overall.

Imagine having so little lore for your almost decade-old species that you can't even answer "Does this universe's primary corporation responsible for the existence of the species have an ethics committee?" without leaving it to sit unanswered for months. It's a yes or no. Judging how the server is run, though, I think Densy is afraid of officially confirming ethics as part of the canon.

Just say gremcorps is evil and get on with it.... Give your community answers is a LOT better than just letting something fester for months because it might be uncomfortable. :/
