Grems were fun before Densy chased off the community with her greed (20K Grem *coughcough*) and her nasty attitude. Grems were always boring bc they were just a cash cow for Densy, but there were enough people interested in the species to cover that flaw up.

Doing prompts for grems in between other stuff, was able to finish doing the first mini prompt. Now to do the rest sdkhfdlk. Had a lot of fun, I love doing flower crowns even if I struggle to make em look nice LOL.

It is in order; Pleasance, Owen, and my latest snow grem Nox~ I didn't mean to do most my grems with poofy necks but here we are LOL.

years ago (when it was still a hot CS) i saw people trying to trade a grem for a FURSUIT... not a fair trade at all LMFAO

the absolute delusion people in cs get is honestly apalling. gimme a fursuit that takes months to make and hours of time, experience, and effort to make for a png of a furry that has a third eye simply because one loser allowed it

(Grem2) I'll send in an ask! Hopefully it will at least start a discussion. I think the newest Grems event is pretty cool. A prize for each prompt you complete, some group currency to use in the discounted event shop, over 10 premade designs for raffle, and a chance at a Cypher. I just talk about Grems in a group chat with some close friends and we have a really nice time, just ourselves. That's the way to do it IMO.

It's like CS owners continually move backwards.

I remember when Jolleraptors and Grems used to be pretty hyper-specific about how you drew things. Then the owners grew up (well, not Densy, she was just after money) a little. Now as long as your design doesn't look loophole-y, it's got a good chance to pass.

It's a CS, so things have to be on-model to a certain degree or it's not the CS. It's just...given how uNiQuE most CS actually are, it's not THAT BIG OF A DEAL to give people some wiggle room.

I promise, your bunny-doll/sock deer/whatever will still look like the CS. Look at Chams. They're all over the place and a huge number of them are recognizable just from a thumbnail if you're familiar with the species!

It's especially egregious when staff and GAs don't follow their guidelines to the letter. And let's be real--most of them don't! Because they don't like their creativity restricted. They sure do like their power trips, though.

I think Seel is one of the worst CS owners not because of them creating chams or even because they made it a closed species when it was originally open, but because the mods they hired are dumb as rocks, Seel takes money from smaller creators, and they haven’t actually done anything for the species in over two years. We have no idea if they can even hire more staff, given they probably need Seel’s approval and they’re pretty much MIA most of the time.
