"The Ocean is a cruel mistress." The Second mate taunted, as the third mate walks towards her crumbled figure with rope.
A saying she hoped she would be on the other end of.
Ren struggles fruitlessly against the third mate's grip as he ties her arms behind her back and her legs together. As there tying up her legs they, wrap the rope around her legs. She cries out as pain shoots up her entire right leg.
Her ember eyes fill up with unshed tears as she is manhandled.
She can't run. They broke her leg. She's found out, all her careful planning ruined. Her body trembling.
Now the sea, she loves so dearly will be her watery grave.
All because her bunkmate rummaged through her things.
She was dragged by her hair to the deck, waves crash against the ship like fists. Her scalp burns from supporting her. She grits her teeth.
Ren glares daggers with her firey eyes at the crew she grew to care for.
She writhes in her captures grip, anything to get her bearings something. Nothing helped, as she was pelted with rain like hail. She's tossed against the deck, her head slams on the deck. Her vision blurs out. The third mate steps on her leg, she howls. She lays with her head against the wet deck getting waterlogged by the waves pouring onto the ship.
Her wrists sting, her head is. pounding, her leg is on fire. Breath caught in her chest, her heart racing.
Her inky hair stuck to her face like tar. Water is running down her face she's not sure if it's the storm or her tears.
"The Ocean is angry, She demands a toll, your actions caused this storm, it is her Fury." The Capitan steps forward.
He grabs Ren up by her face.
Then drags her to the edge of the railing, the waves below crash against the boat.
She spits in his face. He wipes to glob, then he smashes her head against the railing.
Blood mixes with the water flowing down her face. The red drips on the deck, washing away with the waves.
The Capitan throws her from the deck into the raging sea.
Waves spraying up as it smacks to hail.
She hits the water, hard. It's so cold. Shock takes her first.
Any air in her lungs leaving her immediately, she not to breathe but she does the water fills her lungs. She chokes.
Her blood dyeing the water crimson red.
Her tied body trying to breach the surface to no evale.
The ocean swirls around her as a shimmering like diamonds.
Black spots stealing her vison.
A gentle touch pulls her seizing body closer to them. Delicate lips touch hers and magic flows down her throat like honey.
Her leg cracks back into place then they start tofuse together as the ropes slip off.
The gentle touch pulls away as her skin tears for gills and air fills her lungs. Her wounds caressed by the Sea, glow teal, healed by her Mother and a mermaid.
Golden eyes open to Obsidian one's.
"The Ocean may be cruel but she loves her children.
The black eyed mermaid swore. Her voice rough and sharp but beautiful in its own way.
"Who are you?"
Her voice husky still.
"l am Selena. Daughter of the Sea."
The mermaid replies.
Her tail sparking with thousands of tiny diamonds. Her eyes with filled with the colors of a iridescent raven feather. Lips pale as the moon, words sincere.
Ren swims to the surface, the storm still swirling around the Ship in anger.

She was born a mistake, but she is still heir.
The King hates his bastards.
Lucky that the assassins are less skilled than her personally appointed bodyguard.
Lee, a friend of hers from her adventures outside the castle. Through the secret passages and servant exits, under the wall.
She met Lee when he was a traveling merchant, she stole some of his supply by some she meant all. He caught her and employed her before she revealed her identity to him.
Lee swore his eligence to her, he became her bodyguard.
The assassins her recently been getting closer.
There is one option left she has been putting off, faking her death. It would require her to dissappear, off the face of the map. Cut ties. Not Lee though he would come with me.
She walks through the garden. Pondering her plan.
The moon a crescent in the pitch black sky between the twinkle stars. Clouds flowing in like fog against the sky.
Mist hangs in the cool air as it cling to her cloak. Dew hangs onto the willow tree with the wind swaying the leaves. Orange tiger lilies line the path with white clovers and dandelions intertwined. Violets purple like royal silk grow like weeds. Delicate white roses on each path. Their smell lingering in the air before the wind whisks it away.
Iris breaths in their scent and sighs. She'll miss this moe than her 'parents'. She grips the hard bark of the ancient tree. She reaches in her boot, she pulls out her dagger. She traces her finger along the hilt, the engraving is reads,
Mistake. Her 12th birthday gift for the King. At least the it's is well-made. She grabs her braid and the dagger slices right through. Her hair it hand she sneaks back to her quarters. She's ready.
She packed a small bag, only what she can carry. Lee by her side armed with his own bag.
Lee helps her bring her dead body, stage to look like the assassins were successful. After that they hide in the catacombs under the palace. She steals some mens clothes to complete her image.
They stowaway on a boat together, hiding from the crew being undetected. They develop their backstories, the new Leo and Fin, then they sneak off at the next port.
He has a contact, in Flora that gives them free lodging and information on ships in need of grub workers.
