hey
fanfic crossed my mind again, thought to ask how it's going and such things
hope nothing killed your motivation in the meantime is all
Hi, thanks for the ask.
The story's going fine. It's just the next chapter needs some more time to cook, that's all.

Took an hour to realize this because neurons be movin’ real slow. Anywho, does Weiss’ issue with the idea that Grimm exist only to kill mean than she will contest Raven’s idea that he exists only as a living weapon?
Thank you for the ask!
Just to clear things up, my Raven/621 uses she/her pronouns.
Yes, 621's perception of herself as a human weapon is a plot point. And it won't be challenged by Weiss alone.
Of course, it won't be easy. Being an easily-irritated cyborg pilot of a thirteen-meter tall war machine means that 621 isn't exactly a pleasant person to be around.
That's all I can say without going into spoiler territory. Hope this answers your question!

Something so engaging about Handler Walter is that when you know the whole picture he’s an extremely pitiable character, but he’s still a bad guy.
Experimental coral surgery killed his mom, and for awhile Carla had to be that for him. Coral research drove his dad into a mad scientist who made super weapons. And when a coral collapse and release was about to occur, the top scientist of rubicon burnt it all and took away his home, and so he ended up going to Jupiter to get raised by Michigan.
He’s basically just got a trauma conga line, and it’s understandable that he’d want to prove to humanity that coral is best left alone. But even still.
He’s treated an unknown number of coral augmented humans as disposable fodder and ordered them to kill an unknown number of people. He’s complicit in mass murder even if mercenary work is legal. And his end goal was to commit genocide on billions.
He’s a tragic figure, but he never once stopped to consider if the means didn’t justify the end. Even when he finally saw Ayre beside you, and realized that coral is sapient. She was just “kindling for the fire” to him.

Watching the Vaatividya ac6 video, the Allmind cut dialogue is killing me.
"When integrated in an aggravated state, human brain waves function much the same as coral"
I get why they cut it, it's a bit of a leap.
But holy shit that's so fucking funny. They almost made it canon that Iguazu is so mad at 621 that his anger can be used as a power source.

The first chapter for 'Ravens Ever After' is now live. This is a crossover fanfiction of RWBY and Armored Core 6.
I hope you enjoy reading. Please let me know what you think, and feel free to post asks. I will do my best to answer them in a timely fashion.
Synopsis:
Class is in session at Beacon Academy, and Team RWBY have just started their second semester, training to protect the world of Remnant from the Creatures of Grimm. But not all is as it seems. Shadowy groups are drawing up sinister plans, and it's up to Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang to investigate before things get out of hand.
Meanwhile, on the remote planet Rubicon 3, Augmented Human C4-621—callsign 'Raven'—and Ayre cast the die, unleashing the promise of Coral Release. But instead of symbiosis, 621 and Ayre are whisked away from Rubicon and split apart from each other against their will.
Forced to take separate paths, 621 and Ayre now find themselves on Remnant. Ayre winds up in Vale, and runs into a startled Team RWBY in the middle of a firefight. And 621 crash-lands into Mistral, where she—and her thirteen meter tall war machine—falls in with bandit leader Raven Branwen.
Between superhuman Huntsmen, the Grimm, and Remnant's eclectic inhabitants, 621 and Ayre struggle to reunite. Even as their very presence sets Remnant on a course of events that no one can predict...
